This review is for the Newington Stew Leonards. Initially it was a bit difficult to get in touch with the florist but once we did and were able to get her cell number she was pretty responsive and we were able to meet with her multiple times. W...
e used Stew's for our small ceremony in 2020 where we picked up the flowers for the day. They were beautiful but she did add some colors that I didn't ask for. We used Stew's again for our larger wedding reception in 2021 at Saint Clements Castle. She did an even better job with these and produced exactly what we wanted for flowers from the bouquet to the centerpieces to the small vases for high top tables. For the price and the quality, we were very happy.

My rating is primarily for the Stew Leonard's in Newington. We really wanted to have Stew Leonard's as our florist after one of my fiancé's relatives had a positive experience for her wedding. We visited the store in October and exchanged conta...
ct info with the florist, who gave us a timeline as to when we should hear from her. When that time passed, we thought maybe we had misunderstood so tried to reach out. We left several voicemails over the course of several weeks and never heard back. It was really disappointing to be ignored by someone we were trying to hire for our wedding, especially after all of the positive reviews.
We figured it might be an issue with just the Newington branch, so I reached out to two other locations that were near my fiancé's family. I left a voicemail at one location. For the other location, I was able to get in touch with an employee, who said that the manager was in a meeting and would get back to me within the next week or so. I even explained my experience at the Newington branch and the employee assured me that they would definitely be getting back to me. They didn't.
This experience has been incredibly frustrating and it's now at the point that I would not accept their services if they were to contact me, as I would be extremely concerned about hiring a vendor who doesn't communicate with prospective customers.

Absolutely amazing flowers for a very inexpensive price. We were thrilled with the flowers, so glad we went to Stew Leonard's instead of higher priced florists!

All the flowers were so pretty and the colors were great. The flowers were ready on time and the cost was reasonable. The Danbury location did not deliver to our venue in new haven and the norwalk location did not have availability. My Dad had ...
to pick up the flowers on the way to the hotel the day of which made the day a little rushed and also meant we had to transport them to the venue. We didn't do center pieces so the cost wasn't too high. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The price is reasonable but we were upset that one of our large flower arangements didn't make it to the wedding. They returned our vase and refunded us the money but it didn't make up for the missing arrangement.

My review is of Stew Leonards of Norwalk, Ct. We worked with Annemarie - she was absolutely fantastic. I had already made up my mind about the flowers since I grew up LOVING Stew Leonards grocery store. I wanted to stick to a good budget an...
d I wasn't super obsessed about flowers to begin with - so I thought it would be a good choice. I sat down with AnneMarie with some ideas in mind but honestly I didn't know exactly what to expect. When my flowers arrived - they were absolutely BEAUTIFUL! They were fresh and JUST what I wanted!! Our centerpieces were equally as gorgeous. The price was great (just 1,100 for flowers and simple centerpieces). I think that it was absolutely worth it!

Great price on flowers and they did an excellent job. I was rather surprised because they weren't a big florist shop. They took my colors and match them against flowers that would work and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on flowers. Howev...
er, I was very pleased to see how pretty my flowers were for the price I paid. I didn't need any flowers for my hall or church, so this vendor worked out well.

I bought corsages and boutineres and bulk flowers for the centerpieces and bouquets which were DIY. If you are doing DIY flower items, this is the place to go for quality and pricing.!

To cut the cost of some of the "extras" at our wedding, we opted to order our flowers from Stew Leonards rather than a special wedding florist. after my experience with dealing with John at the Yonkers Stew Leonards, I would use them no matter ...
what our budget is!
Upon meeting with John, he was able to show me many sample arrangements and made suggestions that fit our tastes and our budget. He was easy to contact and receptive to changes. To ensure that everything was perfect, he even gave us a few extra corsages/boutonnieres and a free tossing bouquet.
The flower were perfect- exactly as I imagined and they lasted! My bouquet was still free a week later!

rom the first meeting with Lisa she was so sweet and the complete opposite of other florists I had met with (not pushy, didn't have her own agenda, was willing to work with me on price, flexible, etc.) The flowers ended up being so pretty and the bouquets lasted amazingly well. Using Stews worked perfectly for what I needed and I would highly recommend if you need a low-key and inexpensive florist!

You can't beat Stew's floral department! Jan and Cathy are pros and everyone raved about my flowers (which were brought up to MA on a favor, but if you're in the greater Danbury area, they'll do a wonderful job)!

My bridal bouquet was completely messed up but it was still beautiful. When I called to complain they were very nice about it and offered me some money back. At least they admitted their mistake.

I only used cut flowers for my bouquets and I was not very particular about what they would be made up of.
Stew's totally knocked it out of the park!! The bouquets had beautiful, bright flowers including lillies, roses and peonies.

Stew Leonard's did a fabulous job at my wedding. They were very cost effective, and had beautiful flowers. They were willing to make multiple samples for me for free, and were great on the actual wedding day.
