  1. "All of Me," John Legend

If, for some reason, the romantic lyrics don't convince you that this is the perfect first-dance song, then this fun fact will: John Legend performed it for his wife, Chrissy Teigen, at their wedding.

Best Lyrics: "'Cause all of me/Loves all of you/Love your curves and all your edges/All your perfect imperfections/Give your all to me/I'll give my all to you"

  2. "Safe and Sound," Capital Cities

It's a romantic song without the typical "I love you" lyrics, and that's why it's on our list.

Best Lyrics: "You could be my luck/Even if the sky is falling down/I know that we'll be safe and sound"

  3. "XO," Beyonce

This song is like the 2014 version of "Don't Stop Believin'." It's happy, upbeat, has an easy chorus and we're pretty sure it will have every guest on the dance floor making Xs and Os with their arms.

Best Lyrics: "In the darkest hour/I'll search through the crowd/Your face is all that I see/I'll give you everything/Baby love me lights out"

  4. "Treasure," Bruno Mars

We didn't think songs could get any more wedding worthy than Bruno Mars's hit "Marry Me," (which topped our 2013 wedding song list), but this one just might come close. Simply put: It's fun, playful and totally dance-able.

Best Lyrics: "Treasure, that is what you are/Honey, you're my golden star/You know you can make my wish come true/If you let me treasure you"

  5. "Happy," Pharrell Williams

It's the perfect all-ages, family-friendly song (everyone from your toddler niece to your grandparents will hit the dance floor when they hear it).

Best Lyrics: "Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof/Because I'm happy/Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth/Because I'm happy"

  6. "Who You Love," John Mayer featuring Katy Perry

We're suckers for a love song duet, and this one is no exception.

Best Lyrics: "You can't make yourself stop dreaming/Who you're dreaming of/If it's who you love/Then it's who you love"

  7. "I Don't Dance," Lee Brice

Despite what the title might suggest, it's actually perfect for dancing! The lyrics are about a shy groom's first dance (sound familiar?).

Best Lyrics: "I don't dance, But here I am/Spinning you around and around in circles/It ain't my style, but I don't care/I'd do anything with you anywhere"

  8. "Mirrors," Justin Timberlake

The lyrics are super-sweet and sentimental – it's all about how the person you're with is a metaphorical reflection of who you are (awww!).

Best Lyrics: "I'm lookin' right at the other half of me/The vacancy that sat in my heart/Is a space that now you hold/Show me how to fight for now/And I'll tell you, baby, it was easy/Comin' back here to you once I figured it out/You were right here all along"

  9. “I Choose You,” Sara Bareilles

You'd be hard-pressed to find a song by Sara Bareilles that isn't perfect for a wedding, but this one has a particularly romantic story. The singer held a creative proposal contest and then featured footage from the winners' proposals in the music video.

Best Lyrics: "My whole heart/Will be yours forever/This is a beautiful start/To a lifelong love letter"

  10. "She Keeps Me Warm," Mary Lambert

This song is all about accepting love no matter what others have to say about it. You might recognize the vocalist and chorus of this song from the marriage-equality-inspired hit "Same Love" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

    Best Lyrics: "And I can't change/Even if I tried/Even if I wanted to/My love/My love/My love/She keeps me warm"

  11. “Latch,” Disclosure featuring Sam Smith

Okay, this techno hit is not going to work as a first-dance song, but it's definitely a must-play for your after-party!

Best Lyrics: "You lift my heart up when the rest of me is down/You, you enchant me even when you're not around/If there are boundaries, I will try to knock them down/I'm latching on babe now I know what I have found"

  12. “Boom Clap,” Charli XCX

This hit from The Fault in Our Stars movie soundtrack is a great song to get the dance floor going right after dinner.

Best Lyrics: "You are the light and I will follow/You let me lose my shadow/You are the sun the glowing halo/And you keep burning me up with all your love"

  13. "The Moon Song," Karen O

This mellow acoustic song is perfect for those quieter moments at the wedding or even your first dance.

Best Lyrics: "There's things I wish I knew/There's nothing I'd keep from you/It's a dark and shiny place/But with you my dear/I'm safe and we're a million miles away"
