Savannah Guthrie and Michael Feldman's Engagement
Savannah Guthrie's husband popped the question while on vacation in Turks and Caicos, just when Guthrie thought their relationship might be coming to an end.
"It got to the point where no one thought we were ever going to get married—including us, especially including me," she explained in a pop culture story on Today.
"We were kind of at that point in life where it was like, we're either going to have to decide to get married or we're just going to have to love each other but let each other go."
Fortunately, it was the former: Feldman had already bought an engagement ring so he could propose to her during their trip together. "That night, the sun was going down, and he was like, 'Let's open that Champagne they sent us.'"
"I thought about it for about .2 seconds," Savannah recalled. "I was like, 'Yessss!'"
"I think he is so courageous and amazing, because I think most guys who ask in this day and age, they know what the answer is and he really didn't," she added. "But he did it anyway, and I just always thought that took such bravery and meant so much to me."

Savannah Guthrie and Michael Feldman's Children

"I always wanted to be a mom, and it took us so long to get married—we dated for so long—that we thought maybe it was too late and we'd lost our chance," Guthrie said in an interview with People.
Luckily, that wasn't the case for this long-time couple! Guthrie and Feldman share two children together, Vale (9) and Charles (7).
"When we found out we were pregnant, I don't think there were two happier people on this planet," Guthrie told People.
