Had a great stay at Aurora Staples during our wedding weekend! It’s a beautiful place, and the breakfast is delicious.
Most importantly for us, the owner was super tolerant of all the wedding craziness. We messaged Rachelle prior to our stay to ask if it was ok to have our room, the St Croix Room, as our “getting ready” location, which she kindly said was no problem. We still tried to be quiet and respectful, but there were people in and out of the building, including vendors like our makeup artist and florist, and we took photos all over the property, so I’m sure there was some unavoidable ruckus. But the Rachelle never said a word to us about it, and just cheerfully asked us how it all went when she saw us Monday morning!
One note to brides considering doing the same— the building has a no shoes policy, probably to preserve the beautiful hardwood floors and rugs! I would advise letting your vendors and bridal party know about this in advance— Rachelle never said anything but I felt bad that several people, simply without realizing the rule, came in and out with shoes on a few times!
Beautiful rooms and delicious breakfasts! Loved the service at Aurora Staples Inn! Such a good place to honeymoon!
