Cliff House by Boxwood

We worked with Boxwood for our wedding this month and could not have been happier! Everyone there was incredibly professional and made our wedding an absolute dream. The guests raved about the food and the staff at the venue (the Cliff house). The highlight for us, however, was our coordinator Amber. Amber went above and beyond to make our day special and handled so many little fires behind the scenes that we never knew about. She kept the team on task and felt like part of the family by the end of our planning/wedding day. You will absolutely not be disappointed if you use Boxwood and any of the venues they work with!

Rachel J. is amazing and anyone who is in her hands will have a day to remember!!! Venue - We toured The Cliff House in August of 2023 and Haley was bright, kind, and very informative of the history of the building, layout, offerings, and answering all of our questions without pressuring us to make a decision. It was an easy decision seeing how well Boxwood treated their venue and that the venue was a church built in the 1930s. From there, Haley sent estimated timelines, basic menus for catering, and recommended vendors that made wedding planning easier. Catering - I met with Chef Justo in November of 2023 and he was passionate, inspired, and considerate about our families, menu vision, and using the basic menus for catering as points of departure to create a once in a lifetime generous hors d’oeuvres and menu. Furthermore, with our Tier 3 selection we attended 2x Supper Club and 1x Private Tasting to taste our custom wedding menu and make modifications where needed!! Guests were very happy with the menu, execution, cook, taste, palate, and I am very proud of our menu. Day of Coordinator - I met with Rachel at our Private Tasting and she was so detailed, present, and wrote so many notes that made us feel heard and excited for the hors d’oeuvres and menu. When Rachel became our Day of Coordinator in March of 2024, I was over the moon! Rachel and I had two meetings and they were the most productive, necessary, deep dives that I needed. She pointed me in the right direction, made me feel exited about planning, keeping me grounded with her experience, wherewithal, attention to detail, personality, and friendship. Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding Day - The rehearsal dinner was tough, I was a ball of nerves and having Rachel spearhead the rehearsal was a life saver. Rachel took the reigns and I felt like a Bride-to-Be and special!!! The wedding day was a dream because of all of the backend and behind the scenes that Rachel navigated. Rachel has been there every step of the way as soon as things began ramping up when 2024 began and I am grateful for her and Boxwood Hospitality’s expertise. Guests gushed and raved about the wedding and our elder said “It was the best wedding [he] has ever been to”!!!

Our experience with the Cliff House and the Boxwood Hospitality team was flawless. Our Day Of Coordinators, Rachel and Madison, were incredibly helpful in our planning process and kept us organized and informed. I appreciated their helpful suggestions and answers to my questions. Our wedding day went off without a hitch. They even coordinated the details with the other vendors we chose so they were no surprises. Everyone had a great time and I could be relaxed knowing they were making sure it all went according to plan. Cliff House is a beautiful venue that made a great backdrop for my flowers and greenery. It was the perfect size for our wedding. We chose the buffet dinner with passed hors d'oeuvres. The food was great and we enjoyed sampling the different menus at the Boxwood Supper Club events. The location in Bishop Arts is really cool, too. Overall, I would definitely recommend it!
