e side which kept blowing up and landing on the top of my head - sticking up. No comments from either photographer on the day of and very visible in the photos. No offer during the editing stage to correct the issue. Second, the formal portraits could have been staged better. They look ok, but the spacing between family members and the angles of family members shoulders are not consistent in many of the photos. Third, we had a list of 2 particular photos we wanted to be taken which we filled out in a survey sent to us by the photographer. Both photos were supposed to be somewhat large groups of cousins/siblings. Both of the photo combinations were forgotten about until awhile after dinner when several cousins with young kids had already left the reception. We were disappointed that the ball was dropped and these were photos we really wanted to have include all of the attendees in each category. Cary and his assistant had great personalities and most of the candid photos of people dancing turned out really well. We had a lot of fun with them and the formal photos weren't awkward. However, we waited 2.5 years to finally have a wedding after covid and we paid a lot of money for the photos. The details mentioned above made a huge impact on photo quality. It's going to be tough to find good portraits of my husband and I to print and hang in our home.

ns why I would 100% recommend CSM to future couples. 1. Cary gets to know you as a couple and finds out which type of poses and photos you like at your engagement shoot. 2. Cary’s style is very relaxed and I didn’t feel like I was “posing” for photos for too long on my wedding day which is one of the primary reasons we loved Cary’s style. Even our wedding party kept saying how much they loved that Cary was super fun but got straight to the point and captured the images we wanted. 3. Cary has a great eye for capturing different types of lighting. We are SUPER pumped to see the sunset photos he took on our wedding day. 4. Cary kept us on schedule on our wedding day which helped me feel more relaxed! 5. I know without a doubt Cary captured images of all our guests and the emotion and vibes at our reception; we will treasure them forever. 6. Finally, Cary brought Dan with him as his assistant on our wedding day and he was equally as fun and relaxed as Cary. Truly, I’ve never heard a wedding party say that photographers were fun…until our wedding day! Thank you Cary and Dan!

d to postpone from our date in May to October, Cary was incredibly flexible with our new date and change of plans (especially given that our venue change was a lot farther away then originally expected)! On the day of the wedding, Cary and Chris were true professionals. Cary was recommended to us from our cousin who used him for her wedding and we had hired him to shoot our proposal. We were happy to have him shoot that next step in our life and hopefully more milestones to come. We are so happy to have chosen CSM Photography and loved worked with Cary!

Now that we have our wedding photos in hand, I can tell you that he went above and beyond in delivering on that. First, our engagement shoot was so fun-Cary is so easygoing and just a great guy. What we thought would be a little awkward was actually totally comfortable, and it gave us so many gorgeous photos and a save the date that impressed everyone. On our wedding day, we had Cary and Noreen with us. They were both so professional and honestly, just great people to have around with us. They let us completely enjoy the day without being intrusive or distracting, but still didn't miss a moment. Ultimately, they gave us the best of both worlds- artistic, beautifully composed, and creative photos, as well as absolutely gorgeous formal photos of our families and wedding party. Looking through these photos is like reliving how everyone actually experienced and enjoyed the day, rather than just seeing a chronological order of events. They were beautifully edited, with each one being meaningful to us in some way. Being able to look back on our wedding day and all the people we love enjoying it with us is priceless to us, and we couldn't be happier with the final product. CSM's pricing is also just a great value, given the awesome quality of the work and when compared to other photographers' packages we considered. The basic package gave more than enough time to cover the entire day, including our ceremony, 5 hour reception, and getting ready photos. Very highly recommended. We're so grateful we chose CSM Photography.

We found this incredibly valuable as we didn't have a wedding coordinator or anyone leading the pack and Cary's schedule helped keep everyone in line and where they were supposed to be. On the day of the wedding Cary was professional, fun, and exciting. There is a fine balance between allowing the bride/groom to dictate the photos and having the photographer drive or lead the process. I have been to weddings where a passive photographer provided little direction on who/what/where/when aspect of the photos which made for a very time consuming and chaotic photoshoot. Cary on the other hand, was anything but passive and the day was very well organized. He was a leader and really directed the photoshoot process. We preferred Cary drive and lead what to shoot and where to do it; we left most of the decision making to him. I’m sure if you prefer the other way around and want to dictate how you want the photoshoot to go he would be more than accommodating. He is very flexible and clear about his intentions. He made it very clear that this is our day and he will operate however we’d like. His very clear and a helpful communication ensures that you get exactly what you want. If you want him to lead the show; he’ll do it. If you want to lead the show; he’ll do it. One thing I found most impressive about Cary is how much passion he puts in to his trade and how personal he gets with everyone he shoots. He was really excited to be there and really brought a positive energy to the day. It was like having an old friend photograph our wedding. His uplifting energy and spirit really lifted the whole wedding party; he made taking pictures in a suit on a hot beach fun and exciting. As for his pictures, they speak for themselves. That paired with his knowledge of lighting and angles resulted in amazing shots we were excited to use for our save the dates and invitations. Day of the wedding Cary, and his assistant for the day Chris, were a blast. They cracked jokes and kept the mood light and fun while still keeping everyone on schedule. They did a great job capturing our style and the feel of the night from formal couple picks to fun wedding party group shots, to dancing candids. The turnaround on the pictures was unbelievable as well. I have personally heard horror stories of couples waiting months to get there pictures back, not with Cary, our pictures were back within 6 weeks of the event and we couldn't have been happier with them. We made our fair share of mistakes during the wedding planning process but choosing Cary and CSM Photography was not one of them, I can not recommend Cary enough!

Cary was incredibly accommodating and enthusiastic during the entire process, and made a sunrise photoshoot a fantastic experience. He has a great eye for detail and captures natural shots that reflect the personalities and relationship of the couple, unlike some of the staged and 90s-looking prom-pose pictures you see so often. Due to some family circumstances and travel, I was hoping to have a few photos available soon after the engagement session, but Cary got them ALL processed and ready for me in only 2 weeks! I could not be more grateful for his dedication and passion for what he does. On the day of the wedding, Cary was on time and very professional, and handled everything for us – from putting together the timeline for prep and photos to corralling all of the necessary members of the family and bridal party for their respective shots, so that we were actually ahead of schedule prior to the ceremony. He even found additional sites for photos after the ceremony that captured views of the ocean without my having to get sand in my shoes (!) and scheduling some shots during the reception to get beautiful sunset photos. We actually got all of our wedding photos (more than 2,000 of them!) less than 30 days after the wedding, and had a private reveal session in Cary’s studio with champagne, which felt so personal. Overall, Cary was such a joy to work with, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who wants to capture the special moments!
