ios gown. Not one shop that I call in NJ, NY (city and upstate), or PA carried it. I was so upset thinking that I would never find this dress and that I would always wonder “what if”. I found Elegance by Roya Tysons Corner on a web search for Demetrios trunk shows. When I called and explained that I was looking for a specific dress the associate gladly looked up the style number for me. When I found out they carried the dress I almost fell over!! I was so excited and was able to get an appointment the following day. Each person I encountered through phone and in person was so kind and truly seemed excited to be part of my bridal experience. Once arriving Crystal sat and spoke with me about all the details. Once she knew I came for a specific dress she asked questions about why I liked it, then she asked about other dress styles. She asked about our venue, ceremony, decor, etc and really took the time to get to know me and the type of wedding I am having. I tried on my dream dress first and it was clear that that was my dress. Crystal picked out four other beautiful dresses that all offered something different. In the end I can say I saw it all and tried it all on in those 5 dresses. At the end, Crystal let me put back on my dream dress. Once I had the dress back on, I explained to Crystal how I plan on wearing my hair, and how I wanted a small crown that would bring more energy but not steal the show from my dress. Crystal instantly told me she knew what I was looking for and asked me to close my eyes. Once I opened my eyes I had on the most beautiful crown and veil that went amazing with my dress. I could not stop crying! I have never looked so beautiful and I didn’t even have my hair or makeup done! The dress was not my size and I still felt like I could be featured in fashion week as is. I have never felt so good in my life. I am not someone who believes in destiny or fate, but when Crystal told me the crown was chosen by the boutique owner while on a trip to Germany I just knew I was where I was meant to be. My Oma (grandmother) moved to the states from Germany and the rest of our family remains in Germany. I even tried on other beautiful crowns but non had the same effect as the first. I could honestly keep going with how perfect my visit was, how clean and beautiful the boutique is, and how great the associates were. I would recommend Elegance by Roya to everybody! If for some crazy reason you do not go here, I hope you find someone who will treat you the way Crystal treated me and my family. She made me feel so important and beautiful. She was a huge part of my biggest moment - saying yes to the dress (and the crown)!!!

e a VIP. She listened to what type of styles I was looking for, and even had me try on ones I wasn't sure about. I tried on a total of 6 dresses and the third one was "the one." Jacklyn nailed the fit and design perfectly, and had a veil ready that perfectly compliments my dress. And the best part was the price. It was exactly what I wanted to spend. I did a lot of research on salons, and I will definitely say Elegance By Roya far exceeded my expectations. It truly deserves the 5 star rating.

knew which dress I wanted. It had a sparkly skirt and intricate beaded/laced/gemstone illusion top! It was beautiful! But when I arrived, I explained to Jacklyn that I was pretty sure that was the dress I wanted, but that I wanted to make sure. She asked questions about my fiancé (now husband), how we met, where we were getting married, etc. I was open to any dress as long as it wasn’t strapless. At one point Jacklyn asked, “It’s great you feel like a princess, but do you feel like a bride?” I was taken aback by the question, but it was THE question every bride needs to ask herself when shopping for a wedding dress. She then handed me a dress that was “her pick.” It was unlike anything I had tried on—no lace, no sparkle, no beads. Oh, and it was strapless. But as soon as I put it on, my mind shifted. It was so different, but it was so elegant. I still wasn’t sure about the no-straps concept, but then she took the surprise a step further. She tucked some fabric into the dress for off-the-shoulder sleeves, and my mom, my sister, and future mother-in-law all immediately gasped and started crying. Once she added the veil, there was no going back. They customized the sleeves and the dress was all mine! From that moment on, EBR took very care of me to make sure my dress got in on time. The alterations process was smooth and painless, and everything was completed on time or earlier. Jacklyn’s talent and eye for bridal beauty is absolutely incredible and the whole team at EBR was an absolute delight to work with. Unfortunately, my full wedding was postponed because of COVID-19, so my husband and I had a very private marriage ceremony instead. But I’m excited because it means I get to wear my EBR-picked dress TWICE!! :)

me actually picked out my dress-a dress I would never have looked at! The thing that made EBR so special is that I am originally from Chicago so majority of my friends and family are located out there. So dress fittings and other appointments, I had to do on my own pretty often. I was always welcomed with a hug and kind words. It felt like I was really a part of their family. Roya was literally able to pack my dress and my veil into a carry on suitcase so my Mom was able to fly back with it. Elegance by Roya truly goes above and beyond for their brides. I cannot suggest them enough to brides looking for their dresses.

to alterations to the final touches...I can honestly say that I am in awe of Roya and her team. Truly the most perfect experience I have ever had with a vendor. It was such a pleasure working with Mariam and the rest of the team. They put their heart into making my Martina Liana gown perfect with several alteration appointments, listened to my concerns and delivered a perfect gown which felt like it was designed just for me :) Roya also helped me pick out a perfectly matching veil. I want to mention that NOT once did I sense any negative attitude or annoyance by the team. True genuine customer service. The entire process was very smooth. At the end Roya helped to pack my gown in my carry-on since my wedding was out of town. Thank you for helping my dream wedding come true!!!

I had a vision in mind but unfortunately none of the dresses I envisioned were flattering. Mariam pulled a dress she thought would look nice on my body type and respected my budget in mind. It was a beautiful dress. They were able to get my dress in under 6 months and accommodated my fitting schedule since I was doing all planning from out of town. Would highly recommend!!

my experience, I feel like they are family! One of the things that is so great about them is that they are with you each step of the way, from the moment I walked in looking for a dress all the way until after I got married and looked to professionally preserve the dress, they were with me. If I called or emailed, they were there to answer questions and provide guidance; and they were genuinely excited each time I came in. With their help, I was able to afford and wear my dream gown for my wedding.

All of the staff, especially Roya herself, have such an attention to detail and were super knowledgeable, helpful, responsive, flexible, and friendly throughout the entire process and made it very easy for me. They were happy to have as many fittings as needed to ensure that the dress fit perfectly and that we were 100% satisfied. I also ended up purchasing a beautiful veil and a pair of earrings from the store to wear on my wedding day as well. is so wonderful! I had five sheath/a-line dresses on my list because I was looking for something flowy for my beach wedding. With each dress, Mariam asked me what I liked and didn't like. At the end of the appointment, she pulled two mermaid dresses that she thought I might like and I had a hard time choosing between the two! She gave me solid advice on the pros and cons of each dress, and I finally chose one. I couldn't imagine wearing any other dress to my wedding. I initially thought the dress they ordered would be good enough to walk out with, but the seamstress is (thankfully) a perfectionist and she had quite a few alterations to do at the end of my first fitting. I had a second fitting and she didn't like some of the wrinkles in the front of the dress (I didn't even notice them), so she fixed that. I was very impressed with the level of detail and care the seamstress took to make sure my dress was perfect. Lastly, Roya is such a huge personality and she's so vibrant and lovely. She really cares about all of her brides and wants to make sure everything is absolutely perfect. I have no complaints about Elegance by Roya!

e was so helpful and professional and they didn’t make me feel weird or awkward about my size at all. It seems impossible but I felt beautiful in all the dresses I tried on, even though they were technically several sizes too small for me. I went to the Tyson’s location and I also really liked that I was the only bride in the store during my appointment time so I didn’t feel self conscious about other people looking at me or comparing myself to other brides. I didn’t purchase a dress that day because I was undecided between 2 dresses, but overall it was really wonderful experience and I highly recommend Elegance by Roya especially for plus size brides.

was a bit crowded, dodging the other bride-to-be, but everyone was having a good time, and their inventory was extensive. Unfortunately, they didn't have many dresses over a 10, so that was difficult for me to see how things would actually fit. The sweet stylist recommended I check out the other location, in Tyson's. The Tyson's location was much quieter, as only one stylist was working and you got the whole store to yourself. I can't recall what designers overlap between the two stores, but there were definitely some different designers. The stylist was wonderful, letting me try on a range of dresses, listening and offering suggestions. Ultimately, I found The Dress, and she confirmed that it would be ready by my Labor Day wedding! In a nutshell, Elegance has a wide variety of dresses, available for all budgets, and they are willing to work with you on anything!

xtremely committed to working with my budget. Once I selected the dress, we agreed upon pricing with alterations and Farah respected my budget without sacrificing service. When it became clear they needed to alter the bust of the dress, Farah suggested reconstructing the cups and assured me it wouldn't add to the cost. Other vendors would have proposed a cheaper alternative since we had already agreed on price: Farah went above and beyond to ensure my dress was perfect and delivered on her promise to honor my budget. Roya personally came to my last fitting to make sure the reconstruction went as planned, she was a sweetheart and her creations are stunning. I can't remember the name of the Seamstress but she is a consummate professional and a joy to work with (also very funny). My appointments were never rushed and I felt like the whole team personally cared about me. Before finding Elegance, I visited about 6-7 wedding boutiques but they all felt overwhelming and impersonal. When I found Elegance by Roya I knew the search was over. In addition to the stellar service, I was impressed with the beautiful selection of dresses, the layout of the boutique and the low key energy--these women really know what they are doing. I dreaded the dress buying/fitting experience from the start and the Elegance team completely turned that around--by the end I felt like I had new friends :) I rarely take the time to write reviews but Elegance by Roya is something special--I HIGHLY recommend working with Farrah and her team--they will make your life so much easier.

After telling the associates what I was looking for, they quickly gathered armfuls of dresses and whisked me off to the dressing room. The 2nd dress I tried on was perfect but they encouraged me to keep trying on and I'm glad I did. Ultimately I went with the 2nd dress but I am so glad I got to see different silhouettes/designs on my body. It made me feel like I was making an informed decision. The ladies could not have been any sweeter and helpful. My alterations turned out perfectly too. I noticed a little bit of wrinkling in the bodice of my dress and the seamstress ran upstairs and altered it right then and there while I waited. Amazing! You don't want to come here if you are looking for a bargain, the dresses and alterations are expensive but you get what you pay for.

This was the second store I went to (Carines in Georgetown being the first) and automatically knew I would get my wedding gown from here. I ordered the gown in January and received it mid May. It was customized to my shape and size and was absolute perfection! My big day is in July and cannot wait to wear my gown. There were minor things I complained to Roya about regarding fitting and she was so easy and helpful to say "We will fix it with no issues at all in !!" She is the sweetest !! The gown was fixed in a matter of 2 days and I cannot be happier. Future brides, trust me, you will not find more unique gowns along with out of this world hospitality in one store. Roya and mariam worked from their hearts to make sure I was happy and comfortable in my gown and it was such a relieve since I went back and forth many times. Brides you will not believe me until you check out this fabulous Bridal Atelier.

I can't wait to do my first fitting with this superb team!

you want a shopping experience where you're the only one in the store and you trust the consultant enough to pick out the best gowns for you to try on. It is also a great place to go if you are looking for a wow-the-crowd gown complete with sparkles and train, and if you have a fairly sizable budget. Despite the fact that I like a lot of designers that Elegance stocks, my consultant didn't pull a single gown that wowed me, didn't understand what I wanted even though I brought in several pages of examples, and wouldn't let me look through the racks myself to find something I liked. Unlike consultants at other stores I went to, she didn't try to chat with me or find out more about the overall look and feel of my wedding. She didn't respond to my attempts to chat with her. I fully believe that things would have been different had I come in with a $5,000 budget or a gaggle of bridesmaids to fill up the silence. Instead, the whole experience felt stiff and uncomfortable and I ended up buying a gown at a place that was more my style.

bout her is her obvious depth of knowledge of her industry - I came into my first appointment with the mindset that I will give her a general idea of what I envisioned and let her use her expertise to guide me to the right dress. Let me say that trusting Farrah was the best decision I made throughout the entire wedding planning process. She put me in many vastly different (although, all very beautiful) dresses, asked me what I specifically liked and disliked about each, used that information and laced me up in the dress of my dreams...all within an hour of arriving! She is a genius to say the least. Besides their knowledge, professionalism and kindness, another aspect I was highly impressed with was that, not one time, did she show me a dress even a penny out of my price range. She respected my budget and my emotions (because, let's face it - if she put me in my dream dress with a nightmare price, I would either end up in the poor house or heartbroken/dissatisfied a more affordable dress) and if that doesn't scream empathy and integrity, I don't know what does! Oh, and their alterations were spot on - my dress fit like a glove! I am forever grateful to you wonderful ladies for making dress shopping so stress free!
