We had our wedding on 4/21/23 at The Gibbes Museum of Art. Everyone we worked with was amazing and everything day of turned out wonderfully. The Gibbes is a special venue and adds another element to the day of your wedding! Everything leading up to the day and after went super smoothly and Addy was able to help with all of our questions! We had an unforgettable wedding at an unforgettable venue!
We absolutely loved having our reception here. The space is stunning on its own so it makes the most beautiful backdrop for any wedding. We did our cocktail hour in the rotunda and reception in the garden. Having shopped around a bit, it’s quite reasonable for Charleston locations and I would choose it again regardless of budget. Katie was the best to work with throughout the planning process. She was super responsive, extremely thorough and so lovely. She helped us with every question we had and stayed on top of us and our planner too to make everything as seamless as possible from start to finish. We are so happy we chose this beautiful space for our wedding and would recommend to anyone and everyone!
Beautiful!!! We knew we wanted a downtown venue and while I entertained a few other site visits for the sake of my then fiancé I knew we would be getting married at The Gibbes. Katie was so helpful throughout the entire planning process, including multiple reschedules (thanks COVID). Our guests really enjoyed touring the museum, we could not have asked for a more perfect place to say I do.
We could not have asked for a more perfect venue. After shopping around at some beautiful venues (none of which caught my eye in the same way), I knew the second I walked into the Gibbes mid-construction that THIS was it. I loved that very few people had seen the space in a fair amount of years- it would cause shock and awe! I continued to feel that way during planning- every visit further solidified our choice. Everything was top notch, elegant, and beautiful- it was a magical evening and we were so glad to get to welcome all of our guests in such an incredible space. As a minimalist, I truly appreciated having to do very little to the space in order to make it what we wanted- a big selling point for us. I highly recommend a part of your special night in the rotunda (in addition to obviously the garden)- it's breathtaking.
