Do. Not. Use. Where do I even begin... well here’s a list:
1. A few weeks before the wedding, he calls me and asks what he should wear (even though it was filled out on his planning forms months prior). I said, “A vest and tie.” He says, “I’m n...ot wearing that, I don’t own a vest and have never had to wear one.” I reply, “Well, can you purchase one?” He says, “I mean, is it that big of a deal?”
Completely UNPROFESSIONAL.
2. Less than 24 hours until the ceremony, Steve let me know that he couldn’t find the Bride’s Processional song (although we filled out his forms weeks prior). Finally after a few stressful emails back and forth, he FINALLY found it. (Why couldn’t he do this by himself?)
3. He and his assistant showed up, looking completey different. His assistant looked elegant and professional in a suit. Steve looked like he was going to casual business meeting.
4. The mics cut in and out all night, even during the SPEECHES, which interrupted the Matron of Honor’s speech. It also negatively impacted my brother’s surprise performance due to no amplification (he was to sing a song and had to do it micless). Even though Steve offered an apology, he DID NOTHING to remedy the situation.
5. The “must haves” (on his form) music play list that we provided was neglected almost completely. He played maybe 3 out of the 10 “must have” songs. Oh, and these songs were all during dinner (because that’s a great time to dance!).
6. MCing by Steve was mediocre at best. He had no transition lines to start the dancing. As we were playing the shoe game, he added commentary along the lines of, “Uh, I didn’t make this up, this is what they wanted.”
7. The music flows and transitions were really weird. It wasn’t very cohesive and plesant to have a party to (I know because I have a musical backhground.)
Steve’s overall performance was subpar.
If you know what’s best, go with someone else!!!
