Private, intimate setting.Reviewed on 4/04/2014 h p
We wanted a private, intimate venue for our wedding where we could have our ceremony and reception outside on the ocean but not on a beach. We were very particular but we found it at the Beachfront Oasis Estate. The cost of the venue was a bit high with us having to pay a few extras for extending our wedding past 9pm to 10pm, hiring a bus to shuttle in all our guests (as required by the venue), extra event insurance, furniture removal fee, and a very high security deposit. But in the end, the atmosphere and setting of our wedding was a high priority and we felt it was worth the price. The house was the perfect size for our small wedding of 35 guests (Our original guest count was 50, which would have been tight but likely could have been accommodated). It was intimate and very comfortable. It felt like a home not a venue. It was nice to have two separate bedrooms available to used. One was use for the bridal party to get ready, freshen up, store valuables and have private, quiet moments during the event and the other bedroom was used by parents for their kids needing a timeout. Our ceremony was on the lawned backyard with the waves breaking out behind us. After the ceremony, our guests moved to the front carport for cocktails as the backyard was transitioned into our dinner reception. The full moon came out at our dinner reception and the tide went out slightly enough for us to walk into the ocean after dancing with all our guests. Dancing was kept indoors by the indoor pool with lots of room to move. The venue had enough space behind the kitchen to keep all catering preparation out of sight and an extra 3rd bedroom gave the planning and service staff a place to relax. If a private intimate setting is a high priority for your wedding, we highly recommend the Beachfront Oasis as a wedding venue. However, probably best done with a wedding planner in place for your event.

The Oceanfront Oasis was just amazing. It has the most beautiful views of Koko Head and the ocean, and the estate itself is gorgeous. Liz Taylor vacationed here, and Janet Jackson and George Clooney have parties here, so it's definitely exciting and fit for celebrities. I felt like one having my wedding here! The service was exceptional; Justin ensured that I had everything I wanted, even though my getaway was somewhat unconventional (my husband and I escaped in a kayak!). I just couldn't believe the price, either, I had expected much more. I'm so glad I had my wedding here.
SUDDEN CANCELATION OF WEDDING VENUEReviewed on 7/13/2013 Heather L
Imagine our shock and dismay when we learned Kathy Ireland Weddings Oasis World Estates abruptly cancelled our wedding venue without notice or good cause 45 days before our wedding day. "I regret to inform you that we are going to have to cancel your wedding on May 26th due to unfortunate circumstances," read the April 3, 2013 email from a Kathy Ireland assistant. The same folks had collected our $2543.38 wedding venue deposit a year prior on June 18, 2012. Once Oceanfront Oasis Estate was confirmed as our wedding venue, we featured it on our wedding website and more importantly we embossed the address on our custom made, handcrafted letterpress invitations, which shipped to all family and guests worldwide. We eventually had to reprint the invitations rush order. Why didn’t Kathy Ireland and company give us fair warning that our wedding venue could be cancelled at any time because their wedding business wasn’t in compliance with the City & County of Honolulu? Come to find out, the City & County of Honolulu Dept. of Planning and Permitting issued her property a Notice of Violation because its coordination of weddings & other social events does not meet residential zoning district and home occupation use standards. Based upon our personal experience, we believe Kathy Ireland Weddings is the antithesis of her trademark "finding solutions for people in love." She threw us a curve ball 45 days in advance of our wedding day, and to date has not responded to my letter with an apology. In sum, Kathy Ireland Weddings either knew or should have known that it has been in violation since 2011 and the right thing to do would have been to notify the dozens of couples they displaced. If Kathy Ireland and her assistants can't manage a wedding business or property in Hawaii, then they shouldn't put their name on title.
