I have gotten a birthday cake here every year for my entire life, and that isn't an exaggeration, so of course they had to be a part of my wedding day! Thankfully, my husband agreed and they made us one of the best cakes we've ever had. Sara was great to work with, and they took care of coordinating delivery with the venue so it was entirely off my plate! They also took our design inspiration and made an absolutely beautiful cake that was also absolutely delicious!

Incredible, beautiful, delicious - a dream come true. I love cupcakes and always wanted cupcakes at my wedding. Party Favors made the most beautiful cupcakes topped with flowers that were so gorgeous and yummy, it was everything I hoped for. I am so happy with how they came out and the guests devoured them. The bakery delivered on time and as ordered and was nice to work with ahead of time.

Party Favors made dozens of wonderful tea size cupcakes for my daughter’s afternoon wedding. Arranged on tiered displays, they were beautiful and delicious! Party Favors even worked with us to have the frosting rosebuds coordinate with the wedding colors and flowers. Fabulous, everyone loved them!

Party Favors did our single tier cake and cupcakes for our wedding and they were absolutely beautiful. The cake was a painted style with gold flakes that they didn't have pictures of on their site, but assured me they could execute. It was gorgeous! The cupcakes were all topped with frosting flowers and they were so pretty. We also got six vegan cupcakes which were lovely as well. They were wonderful to work with and I'd happily use them again for another event.

We are highly encouraging couples that are getting married to work with Party Favors in Brookline, MA for dessert needs for their wedding. We got married in December of 2019 and could not have been happier & satisfied with the overall experience working with Mary Lynn, John & their team. We decided to go with a cake and Party Favors was extremely easy to work with. We went back and forth with some ideas and all throughout the process, they made it so easy going and comfortable to work with to come to a final design with the flavors. Over 6 weeks have passed since the wedding day, and people have still been telling us that it was the best tasting cake they’ve ever had at a wedding. Party Favors handled all aspects of delivery to our wedding venue, worked with them directly on timing and special instructions. It was so nice to be able to know that everything was taken care of and we wouldn’t have to worry about a thing. A huge element of working with Party Favors was the trust we had in their vision, delivery and execution. They’re a family run business that made us feel at ease, and made us the most beautiful cake we could have asked for. Party Favors did the cupcakes and a small cake for our wedding, and we could not be happier with how they turned out! The cake itself was delicious and moist, and the cake and cupcake decor was gorgeous. We are also so grateful to the team at Party Favors (especially Nicole!!) for working with our venue when we were thrown a major curve ball which impacted vendor load-in and set-up less than 20 days out from the wedding.

Dairy allergy bride here! Loved loved loved that Party Favors offered a vegan chocolate cake/frosting that ACTUALLY tastes good! Our 3-tier wedding cake was so beautiful and though our actual wedding cake was not dairy free (we wanted a white cake - so faked the cake cutting tasting :D), Party Favors was able to make a sheet cake that I could have and we could serve to guests with dairy/egg allergy. Ultimate taste test: my dad who is not dairyfree and pretty picky even ended up loving the vegan and wanted that served to him instead :D

I reached out to PARTY FAVORS prior to our wedding, I was given multiple recommendations of the wedding cake design. It turned out beautifully, we absolutely loved the cake, it looked beautiful! I would certainly recommend PARTY FAVORS to anyone!

I met with this vendor in November for a May ceremony. I sent many pictures of the cake and cupcakes I wanted, went for a cake tasting discussed every detail and even went the day before to make sure everything came out as I requested. The day before the flowers were too small and not as I requested and I was assured they would be fixed. The cake was not decorated and again I was assurred everything would be as to the pictures I sent. The venue was at 3:30 the cake was delivered at 10. The flowers were not as promised on the cake and the cupcakes flowers were small and not what I requested. When I questioned the owner he apologized and said he forgot to place the flowers on the bottom and the layer of the cake. He said he was rushed? Hmmm. You had 6 months to prepare and I saw the cake the day before you just had to put the flowers on and you had the cake delivered 5 hours early. He gave me a free 6 inch cake cause the venue never served it . That was nice. He also took 35.00 off for not putting the flowers on the cake. But no money for not getting the cupcakes correct. IDK. I think his staff should have communicated my wishes. I can't get that vision back. BTW the cake I tasted at the cake tasting was delicious. The teacup cakes came out perfect. Buyer beware! Make sure you see the cake the day of wedding or day before and make sure it is what you asked for.

Affordable, tasty, and gorgeous! We had a small cake to cut and 200 cupcakes for our wedding. We had four different options to choose from that all had different fillings. Everything was delicious and my only regret was that we didn’t get to take any home. Absolutely would order from here again and recommend them 100% Thanks, Party Favors!

We were very enthused with our custom-designed Steampunk Wedding Cake. Our tasting allowed us to try a bunch of different options. The final product was very fun and beautiful. Not to mention tasty! We were able to get many flavor profiles in one cake design. Highly recommend!

Our cake was beautiful and delicious. They made us a big pink heart-shaped cake with strawberry amaretto filling. I would definitely use Party Favors again for any other cake/cupcake needs!

I've been getting Party Favors cakes for my birthdays and events since I was a little girl, so I knew I wanted them for my wedding but I was afraid they might be out of our budget. To my relief and pleasure, their prices are extremely reasonable. The entire experience was a breeze. We didn't find what we wanted at our first tasting, so they accommodated us with a "to go" tasting later on, which was very convenient. Our design consultation with the head baker was also very smooth. He incorporated our ideas into a beautiful cake. And of course, there is no cake more delicious in the Boston area. Several guests told me it was the best wedding cake they'd ever had. I highly recommend going to Party Favors for your cake!

Everyone at my wedding was impressed with the cake at my wedding. It came out the way I wanted. It was hard finding a place who is willing to make mini cakes. They are one of a few place who does mini cakes. However, there was a small incident with them but I was very satisfied with the end result.

I worked with Party Favors for my wedding cake in March 2018. I was exploring a few bakeries for my wedding cake, but ultimately chose Party Favors for the great taste and reasonable price. We had fluctuating guest numbers and event timing, so we ended up having to change the cake size and delivery time a couple of times. Party Favors graciously complied with each of our changes. On the day of our reception, Party Favors delivered a beautiful, great-tasting cake.

We worked with Party Favors for our wedding, and we planned for a small ceremonial cake and a variety of cupcakes. We worked with John for our tasting, which was a fun experience, and ended up picking a two-tier cake and five types of mini-cupcakes. We were impressed by how quickly they can turn around cakes and how helpful they were in developing a design and making decisions. We hadn't expected to afford as substantial a cake as we could - the price was very reasonable. They were incredibly accomodating and ready to work with us, no matter what our final decision was. One of the most fun parts of our wedding planning process!

After a delicious cake tasting at Party Favors in Brookline, we ordered four different flavors of cupcakes from them. The gold cake with chocolate buttercream frosting was my favorite. The raspberry cream had real raspberries in it so it was a close second. We received lots of compliments about the cupcakes throughout the evening. The price was also very reasonable and they were very flexible with delivery times. I would highly recommend for any occasion.

We had previously used Party Favors for a birthday cake, which looked amazing and tasted even better! When we found out they did wedding cakes, we had to go in for a tasting. We were blown away with the light and fluffy cake and delicious buttercream. Amaretto is my favorite flavor, which to my surprise they had! Once again, they did not disappoint! Our wedding cake was flawless. The taste was impeccable. We did a tasting at another popular bakery, and they could not match Party Favors. Our guests are still talking about it a month and a half later, and a family member will be using them too after tasting ours. Thank you Party Favors!

Our cake was SO GOOD. Based on our tasting, we expected a good wedding cake, but what they brought to our wedding was even better than we imagined (we chose different flavors than what we tasted). We didn't want a whole bunch of decorations, and they actually listened to us and made beautiful, simply-decorated cakes. And the price was way better than most other bakeries! Several guests told us they don't usually like cake/dessert - crazy I know - but that they loved our cake. Highly recommend the Funfetti!

Lights. Camera. Action... John, and his team at Party Favors went above and beyond the call for our replica, full scale, Stanley Cup wedding cake for our wedding this past New Year's Eve (2016). As major hockey fans, players, and friends attended our ceremony, "The Cake" took center stage welcoming our guests with all 250 in attendance hand-written onto the cake as our seating chart. The cake was so impressive, it stopped everyone from taking their seat for almost 30 mins, as selfies, social media, and memories were instantly created. The project was accepted with high enthusiasm from the moment we approached Party Favors with our idea, and every time we came in to visit we were the "Stanley Cup People", you could feel the pride and energy the staff had towards our cake. Other major cake shops in the area turned down the idea, and we were glad they did, as John and his team delivered a perfect 10/10. From design through the installation on site at our venue the day of, everything was perfect. John had us to the shop three times throughout the process for meetings, cake tastings, and adjustments as the details and project went along. Our final product contained 7 different flavors, as tiers, and we even did a dozen gluten-free cupcakes to accommodate those with the need. From traditional marble flavors, through blueberry lemon and orange cream, not only was our picture-perfect cake a hit for the camera, servicing as a seating chart, and just an awe to walk into a reception seeing, it was also delicious and received just as many reviews when it was served later in the evening for the quality and taste. Professionalism, Passion, and Perfection. Party Favors was a perfect vendor, baker, and holds a special place in our hearts for their hard work and a cake that will be remembered forever. My husband and I love Party Favors' cakes so we knew we wanted to use them for our wedding day. They were so easy to work with, understood our vision and were so reasonably priced even with our delivery fee up to our venue in NH. We would highly recommend using Party Favors!

Loved working with party favors! Chris was such a nice guy, and the cake was delicious and beautiful! We wanted a plain looking cake with the icing to have an antique look, and other bakeries were going to charge extra. Apparently it requires icing, chilling, icing again. They did not charge extra. Very impressed with quality and taste! Another bonus- free anniversary cake if you send a photo!

I am obsessed with the frosting at Party Favors - the cake was sooo good and cannot wait to see the pictures of it! Best of all, you don't have to save the top of your cake - they send you a smaller freshly made cake (same as your wedding cake) on your 1st anniversary!!

I have had my birthday cakes from Party Favors since I was born, so it was a no brainer on who I wanted for my wedding. The cake was not only delicious - it was gorgeous and exactly as I had asked it to be designed. Even my photographer posted on her own Facebook that she tries a lot of cakes in her profession but our cupcakes were her favorite of all time! They also designed my bridal shower cake which was EXACTLY as I had asked for it and the details were breathtaking! Paula and John are the best!

We have ordered several cakes through Party Favors, so it was a natural choice for our wedding cake. The tasting process was fairly hands off - we pre-selected a few flavors and tried them in the shop while looking through a book of previous designs. Most of our ordering communications were through email, including about design, which worked well for us because of our schedules. They were very upfront about what impacts the cost (e.g., fondant, design detail, etc.), and worked with us to produce a beautiful cake that fit our budget. Most importantly, Party Favors' cake is absolutely delicious - why choose a cake that isn't?

Party Favors was amazing from the very first consultation to the night of our wedding. They had never done what we were asking for before (naked funfetti) but were very accommodating. We got multiple comments from our guests saying that the cake was delicious and looking amazing! Exactly what we had imagined as our perfect cake.

There are a lot of places that we researched that could have done our wedding cake, and we went around to see many of them. We went with Party Favors because not only was their cake the bast tasting out of any of them that we tried, but they were also the friendliest and most helpful of any which we met. Being a smaller operation than some of the others which we tried, gave us a better feeling because they were more interested in what we wanted rather than just trying to sell us a cake like we felt with some of the others. We also wanted to do a smaller cake with an ombre frosting, which they admitted that they had not done many of before, but we felt confident that they could. And boy, did they come through! We were so happy with the way that the cake turned out visually, and with the way that it tasted. They delivered the cake on time, and there were no issues with any aspect of the process. The cake was great, and Party Favors rocks. We totally would recommend them to anyone for their wedding cake or any cake for that matter!

Part Favors is and has been my favorite place for cake! They can pretty much do anything you want...and the cake actually tastes amazing! I make all of my family members get their cakes here. The staff that help with the wedding cake selections are friendly...but its the delicious cake and awesome designs that make it. For our rehearsal dinner we had a batman cake made...not only did they help us with out wacky ideas...but it was executed better then I could have dreamed. Love them and will continue to go here for any excuse to get cake (or cupcakes)

In my opinion, Party Favors has the best cupcakes in Boston so it was only natural they make our wedding cake for us! We purchased 13 dozens cupcakes and a small six inch round cake for us to cut on our wedding day. We were able to taste several flavors of cake that they offer and we worked with Chris who was able to customize our cupcake design. Chris was very knowledgeable, easy to work with and the cake was very affordable. They delivered it to the venue for us which was very helpful. And the best part is on your first year anniversary you can come back to the bakery and they will make you a replica of your wedding cake for free! We would highly recommend Party Favors.

Starting or planning we knew we wanted to have Boston Cream Pie Cupcakes at our wedding. With the recent boom in cupcake popularity find the best was sure to be a difficult task. We tried over 6 different places and no one but party favors captured the true essence of BCP in every bite. We dealt with Chris who was an absolute doll and paid a crazy reasonable price. They were so easy to work with it really was nothing less than a please. Would recommend PF to any one for any occasion and they are now my go-to!

after many conversations with Paula about my cake, they assured me they had it down- we discussed the flavors, size, shape, color and they seemed like they did this every day but they screwed up my cake! Not only was it the wrong color and shape they delivered it late!! holding up my sail time of our reception. I called first thing in the morning and the owner John said he was aware of it apologized and refunded my money. Bad business ;( no redo's in a wedding cake

We decided to go with Party Favors after they did a wonderful job on the cake for my sister-in-law's baby shower. Our chocolate cake filled with fresh strawberries and topped with buttercream frosting was the perfect addition to our summer wedding. The decoration was beautiful and they used ribbon that coordinated with our wedding colors. We were also told that they will provide us with a one year anniversary cake if we bring in a professional photo of our wedding cake, so we won't have to eat old, frozen cake. How great is that!

Our wedding Cake was absolutely amazing and so delicious I'm still sad I only got one slice! They did such a great job and it looked exactly like the picture in my head. They even added a peek-a-boo golf ball for my husband so he was not left out. I would chose them over and over again I never had to worry about the cake once. If you want a stunning cake that tastes out of this world I would recommend Party Favors! It was a part of our wedding package at our venue and nothing was too much for them some of the other vendors always seem to add an extra amount for something. When I asked for one square, no charge when I asked for an added peek-a-boo golf ball no charge. We are regulars now for cupcakes on occasion.

Party Favors provided an amazing cake exactly as we chose. Delivery was as scheduled. The cake was delicious. Guests loved it. And it looked great, too. Highly recommend!!

I dont know about you, but when I go to weddings I rarely remember the cake, and I'm actually someone that LOVES dessert. Well, the cake from party favors was NOT that cake. Everyone commented on how absolutely delicious it was. If you want to get a sense of how good their cake is, just go to the store and buy their cupcakes, the cake is even better. I highly recommend choosing party favors for your cake! Oh yeah, it also looked beautiful :)

Brides-to-be: This is the only bad rating I gave...and though I feel horrible, I am compelled to write the most honest, the most objective, and the most concise review I possibly can. We went with this vendor based on good reviews and good interactions. Paula was the Party Favors representative with whom we worked closest with. She was kind, accommodating, accessible and thorough leading up to the event. During the reception, we encountered an issue with two missing groom cakes and two missing cake stands. This issue was partially resolved an hour prior to the end of the reception; however, we are still attempting to work with this vendor to resolve the remaining issues. The issues seem to stem from a lack of communication (on behalf of this vendor). We elected to donate the bridal dress, the flowers and then the cake(s) when Party Favors assured us that donating cake leftovers would not pose an issue. They had experience with cake donations and “would coordinate with the venue.” Because the burden of proof is on the customer, my husband and I have been electronically digging, compiling, forwarding and corresponding with them—weeks after the event. Verbal exchanges are null, so the disappearing cake stands conundrum might be lost cause at this point as they were shipped directly along with the receipt and this will require more tracking efforts on our behalf. This is not my nature and I don’t want to pick vendor apart, so, I have my reservations about commenting further on the aesthetics of the bride’s cake. I’ll just say that it wasn’t an accurate representation of the tasting or the portfolio, but was most certainly something that we could overlook. Brittany Thomas

I wanted the cake to be the best tasting and this was the place. Many of the other popular cake venues in the area had cake that was tasteless and dry, dressed up with fancy icing. Here the cake was flavorful and beautiful.

When the suggestion of Rum and Pineapple layers came up at our tasting, I was skeptical but boy did it turn yum, yum good! Our cake was exactly what we wanted, delivered on time and Chris there was always available to answer questions. Will use them again!

I'm a very simple girl, so I just wanted a simple cake but it needed to taste good. Party Favors gave me simply the best tasting cake I've ever had! I selected the lemon cake with raspberries and cream filling and buttercream frosting. It was so delicious! My sister doesn't like sweets and she doesn't eat anything lemon, but she LOVED it and couldn't get enough. I don't know of a better endorsement than that! I cannot wait to eat this cake again someday, and I hope that anyone who is getting married will try Party Favors. I saw some of their decorations on other cakes and they were quite good, even though I just wanted something super simple. I have had several people comment on how great the cake was also, so it's definitely great!

Which could be my fault as I should have followed up with teh cake manager instead of just the store when it got close to the day. I thought it would have more design in frosting flowers as indicated on the work order but it didnt. Still tasted great and if you provide a picture you get a free cake on your anniversary.

I got my wedding cake here, and it 100% did not disappoint. The cake arrived at the venue, on time, and was completely and totally gorgeous. It was a chocolate cake filled with French mocha buttercream, frosted in white buttercream, edged with purple ribbon, and topped with a fondant bow. It was as delicious as it was beautiful, which is a rarity with wedding cakes. The cake was so delicious at the tasting that we started hoping our guests would pass on cake, so we'd get to keep more for ourselves. We ended up with the whole top layer left over, and it was just so beautiful I was upset cutting it to eat the leftovers. People left raving about the cake and are still talking about it! The tasting process was a little odd, in that Party Favors only lets you taste 2 cake combinations per appointment. So we had to select two cakes, frostings, and fillings, and then mix and match on our fork. The other thing I didn't like about the ordering process is that they just have scrapbooks of previous cakes they had done for weddings, and you have to design one from scratch, without any idea as to how much each "element" is going to cost. You design a cake, and THEN they give you an itemized cost list...after you've fallen in love with your design. They also show a lot of floral cakes, but they don't do flowers- they make the cake, and your venue florist does the flowers. If you provide a photo of your cake for their portfolio, you get a free anniversary cake on your anniversary, which is awesome and keeps you from having to freeze your actual wedding cake, and then eat gross freezer-flavored cake on your anniversary. Anyway, beautiful, delicious, affordable cake followed by more beautiful, delicious, FREE cake a year later? Yes, please!

we got cupcakes! they were delicious my favorite cupcakes in Boston. they were delivered and look great. We had a lot left over though because we only choose one flavor. I would recommend having at least 2 flavors.

We used Party Favors for our wedding on 9/24/2011. Not only did they do our wedding cake, they also did a complete dessert table for us. They provided cupcakes in 3 different falvors, candy, chocolate covered oreos, chocolate mousse cups, and frosted brownie bites. Everyone RAVED about the dessert table. Not only was it beautiful but every single dessert that they provided was delicious! In addition, the price was very reasonable considering all that we bought! I would HIGHLY reccomend Party Favors to any bride to be!

Everyone said the cake tasting would be one of the best parts & they were right! Party Favors gave us so many choices and options. We got so many compliments on the delicious cupcakes (and it saved us money!). The delivery & setup charge was a bit much, but we had them come up to New Hampshire so it was expected. I would go with Party Favors again in a heartbeat. And eat their cupcakes any day of the week!

the cake turned out exactly as i hoped it would be - they have a great array of flavors and combinations. the store itself is also incredibly fun with an assortment of candies and cupcakes.

Our cake was excellent! Party Favors was very open to our less traditional take for our wedding cake. All the flavors were totally yummy and there were many designs and flavors to choose from. We were able to use our own cake toppers and the cake was delivered to our restaurant site without issue. They even provide a mini cake for our first anniversary! I would recommend them!

Party Favors made a beautiful cake that was absolutely delicious, and delivered it to Gloucester, MA all in one piece for a nominal fee. There was even a mismatch in the colors for the two tiers which they caught and verified with me a few days beforehand. I was more than pleased with them and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Party Favors was great about letting you try samples and experimenting with flavors/combinations of cake, filling, frosting etc. They spent a good amount of time with us at our first meeting reviewing sizing, pricing and pictures. They were very prompt with returning e-mails. And you get a free cake on your 1 year anniversary! Delicious and our guests are talking about it still.
