Richard was the consummate professional despite his youthful appearance. He was good at establishing a quick rapport with our family and friends, which aided greatly in being able to capture not only the standard shots, but those more intimate ...candid shots. Everyone was relaxed with him around. We had a small affair, so it was relatively easy to manage, but I don't think I saw him sit down once! Its often difficult to find African-American photographers that can strike a balance between offering the 'typical' wedding shot, and the more unorthodox documentary style of wedding photography. Richard gave us both. We had no pre-conceived expectations, but he was able to capture everything we could have thought of and then some. If you're looking for something a little more contemporary in styling, he's your guys! His experience as a fashion and portrait photographer were definitely evident.
