Richlin Ballroom & Catering

I didn't book Richlin and never will. I mainly spoke to Linda and not only did I find some of her responses to be quite rude - she was not willing to work with us AT ALL. They do not offer tastings - you have to attend a Tasting Event, during the week, offered every few months. We were interested in the American BBQ menu and were informed if we wanted to taste any of those items, we'd have to wait for a Roast event, which was over 3 months away. I found them incredibly hard to work with, unresponsive and downright rude at times. I was shocked as they have such fabulous reviews and I am a pretty easy going Bride so I was in no way asking for anything out of the ordinary or being a "Bridezilla". So disappointing!

Very affordable. Huge selection. They allow you to bring your own alcohol (if permitted by the venue). Maria was so helpful!

We held my daughter's wedding reception here. Maria was fantastic with getting us everything we wanted. The ballroom was decorated perfectly! The food was good. The staff did a great job with a few minor issues. They were a bit hasty with taking plates before guests were finished. We had family coming from out of town and they had car trouble so were running late. We requested that plates be set aside for them so they could eat the meals that were paid for. Upon their arrival, we were told that their food had been thrown away. It appeared their only concern was getting us in and out as quickly as possible. As the mother of the bride, this was a bit frustrating. Most importantly, my daughter and son-in-law had a beautiful day and memories were made that will be forever cherished.

Richlin did the catering for our wedding this past weekend. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. From the beginning, the staff was friendly and easy to communicate with. They quickly answered any questions we had and worked with us to make sure our reception was exactly what we wanted. The tables were set up beautifully and the buffet was ready to go. The food was delicious and the staff was very professional, welcoming and friendly. The staff checked in on us throughout dinner and served us our food and refilled our drinks. We would recommend Richlin catering to anyone for their wedding reception! Thank you to everyone at Richlin catering!!

Jude from Richlin, and his staff, did an amazing job. They came the night before to help us set up, we gave them our floor plan and before we knew it, tables and chairs were up and being decorated. When we got back from the rehearsal, everything was done. I definitely slept so much better knowing we had accomplished so much the night before. Then the day of, him and his staff took care of EVERYTHING! They came while we were at the church so when we returned to the venue, they were ready for us with drinks and appetizers. They even brought a bunch of appetizers and drinks down to the wedding party to make sure we didn't miss out. During the wedding, Kelly stayed by my side the entire time and they all started packing our things up for us so we were completely out of the venue in plenty of time. It's almost like Jude and his staff could read my mind. I was so at ease with them, they were amazing and definitely went above and beyond for us.

We had our wedding reception at Richlin Ballroom almost a month ago. For the price you pay, it's a great deal because you get a nice ballroom setting, all of your rentals (table cloths, silverware, glasses, etc), food, alcohol, champagne toast for guests, and a wedding cake from Yia Yia's bakery included. They also set up all of your decorations for you as long as you drop them off a few days prior. So really, they cover most of your wedding planning at one location and take off the stress of having to set up your own venue the day before or day of. On our wedding day, the staff was very professional and courteous and the food was great (loved the turkey with stuffing and gravy!). Unfortunately as most brides will tell you, it's tough to eat with everything going on and when you are in a dress made to fit you like a glove. I explained this to our hostess who told me that she understood and would wrap up meals for me and my husband. When we got home, though, we found that this had not been done. I was a little disappointed, but figured she may have just forgotten to do this for us. My real issue with the food situation, though, came a few days later when I found out from my mother that she had gone back to the buffet for seconds about an hour after being served because she had been talking to guests, but all the food had been put away. For a wedding of 185 people, I think that is way too early, especially when the reason for getting a buffet is to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to get enough food. I also hadn't realized that they never made an announcement to go to the buffet line for seconds, which they had always done at every other wedding I have been to. Once again, I was disappointed considering now the person who paid for the wedding was not able to get enough food, but I really became mad when I found out from a very reliable source that when she goes country line dancing at Richlin every Monday night, they serve the food from the wedding that happened that weekend. I didn't believe it at first, but the fact that she was able to name every item off our menu baffled me since she ate it the Monday after our wedding, for $13 including limited open bar, line dancing, and dessert! Now , they may order extra food to cook the same meals on Monday night, but I know that they didn't run out of food at my wedding and the fact it is the same food for a third of the price is a little upsetting. So, after this novel of a review, for all couples looking to have a reception at Richlin, if you plan on getting the buffet, ASK how long the food will stay out for to make sure you and your guests actually get to eat the food that you pay for.

I absolutely loved the Richlin. They were so great with all the details and preparing everything so that it was perfect. The people in charge at my reception were so attentive to me and my requests, making sure everything was the way I wanted. They did a great job with the atmosphere of the room, too. They made everything look stunning. I was very pleased, especially considering they were so affordable as compared to many other reception venues in the area. I would definitely recommend them!

Steve, Jude, Omni and the rest of the staff did an amazing job at my wedding. The wedding was May 19, 2012 at Swan Harbor. The food was amazing, the staff was excellent and I don't have one complaint. They made sure the entire event ran smoothly. If you want a great caterer for your event contact them!

The place was lovely but the people were not the best. The bathroom in the bridal suite was clogged when we arrived and then began overflowing. No one came to fix it so in my wedding dress I had to try and fit in one of the small stalls in the main bathroom. Also they were rude when it was the end of our time pretty much throwing us out. They began gathering table cloths and everything that was on it, not caring what was on the table and throwing away some personal items. I believe that the place is wonderful but the people we had there that day were not the best. I've been to other weddings there since mine and they were very nice and well taken care of.

The staff at Richlin was extremely helpful through the entire planning process. Gail and Angie are pros and were great at getting back to us and answering all of our questions. The reception went smoothly, thanks to an attentive "event manager" who was accessible and kept us on track the whole night. Compared to other vendors we looked at it was a great value too.

Great food...great employees!

Richlin was fantastic to work with. Gail is on top of everything and is extremely well organized. Our wedding day went perfectly even with another wedding going on in the other ballroom.

After being rejected by the Top of the Bay on Aberdeen Proving Ground less then six months before my wedding, I was thrilled to find the Richlin Ballroom. They fit in to my budget, threw in pretty much everything we needed, and gladly answered any questions/concerns we had. P.S. the food was phenomenal!

Loved the Richlin Ballroom! NO COMPLAINTS! Gail was great and took great care of us! Food was also fantastic!

Richlin is family owned, and they gave alot of personal attention and care to every detail. The food was great and the price was great too.;Really can't think of anything we didn't like

The lighting was remarkable. The pictures turned out beautifully because of the beautiful chandeliers and lighting. The staff was unbelievably nice and very accomodating.
