She is phenomenal! She was so kind and helpful throughout the wedding planning process. I really wanted to get married outdoors in November so it was a bit chilling. The day of she was able to condense the ceremony (so our guests didn’t freeze) without impacting the ceremony. The ceremony was personal, funny, and meaningful. I cannot recommend Rev. Orsella enough!

This review is long overdue but we could not let the year end without letting Rev. Orsella know how special she is!! From the moment my husband and I finished our consultation, we just knew that we wanted her to officiate our wedding. We had other consultations where we felt like it was simply a business transaction. Rev. Orsella leads with love! You can tell that she really has a passion for what she does and cares deeply about each couple that she works with. Rev. Orsella was able to capture our love story so beautifully and share it with our guests in a meaningful way. Orsella is professional, responsive and keeps great communication with her couples. We were able to specially customize the way we wanted the ceremony to be run and include our special touches like jumping the broom. When we had technical difficulties during the ceremony (the mic cut out), Orsella did not miss a beat! She continued with the ceremony and projected her voice so loudly for all our loved ones to hear. During the reception and the days following our wedding, we got so many compliments on the way Orsella conducted herself in our wedding. We are so thankful that she was a part of our special day. We hope to be able to work with her again in the future for our vow renewal :). Orsella, you are truly blessed. Keep being the bright light that you are!

One of the best decisions made for our wedding was choosing Orsella as our officiant. Not only was she professional, but she was personable. It felt as if we'd known one another for years. Everyone commented on her officiating, even provoking one guest to grab her contact information. We're excited to use any of her other services in the future.

We had an amazing time working with Rev Orsella. She really took the time to get to know us during our premarital counseling sessions and helped ensure we would have some of the necessary tools for a successful marriage. We had less time for our ceremony due to weather delays and she did exactly what needed to be done! My husband and I had the pleasure of having Rev. Orsella as our wedding officiant; this was the best decision we could have made. From beginning to end, she did an incredible job. Rev. Orsella officiated our ceremony. She asked us both to prepare our own version of our love Story. The day came and she did an amazing job combining our thoughts and stories together. She really takes her time to get to know her clients and perfect the ceremony needs. Her voice is so soothing that it actually calmed my nerves down. Almost like a safe place in front of 230 people. We were so happy with our decision on picking her! One of our favorite vendors of the day.

My husband and I had the pleasure of having Rev. Orsella as our pre- martial counselor and our wedding officiant. Pre-marital counseling was something that we knew we needed but we also knew we had to find the right person. Rev. Orsella was THE ONE. We are so grateful for her guidance while we took the serenity journey. Through this journey we learned a lot about ourselves and each other. Where do I begin?! I have so many positive words to share when it comes to Reverend Orsella and Serenity Ceremonies. Rev. Orsella was one of the absolute highlights of my wedding day. My guests all assumed that she had known my husband and I for years because the ceremony she designed was so personalized and poignant. Initially, when my fiancé and I began planning our wedding, I insisted we write our own vows because in my mind that was the only way that I could ensure that the ceremony really reflected us as a couple. Rev. Orsella was happy to accommodate that, but as the date I approached, I wasn’t sure I wanted the pressure of saying the *perfect* thing that would express how important my soon-to-be-husband is to me. There was also a part of me that wanted to keep more personalized vows between the two of us. Ultimately, we chose to let Rev. Orsella lead a traditional ceremony and it was the best decision. I didn’t have to stress and she managed to capture the specialness of the day. I know if I had attempted it I would have started ugly crying at the altar. I would recommend Rev. Orsella because she is a gifted writer and orator. She also cares about the little details (like getting that license signed, among other things!) and will ensure that your ceremony reflects your personalities and relationship. On top of everything else, she was gracious enough to stay for our reception. I am pretty sure our guests who sat at her table had the best time as well. I really could go on ad nauseam. I’ll end by saying, you will be beyond grateful if you choose to make Rev. Orsella part of your big day.

My husband and I couldn’t be more grateful to God for placing Rev O in our path. She was such a blessing in navigating this transition in our lives. Our ceremony was phenomenal and all of our guests raved about her because she actually takes the time to get to know you and your spouse. Plain and simple….. She understood the assignment! My husband and I also signed up for premarital counseling, and Rev O was nothing short of amazing there as well. It really does make a difference when your officiant is vested in making sure they give you the tools and resources to needed to make your marriage succeed. Rev. O was referred to us by our wedding planner. From the initial consultation, we knew she would be a great fit. She had similar core values, but never made us feel pressured about anything. We participated in the pre-martial counseling so that she could take the time to get to know us. She was patient with us and customized our sessions to what we needed to prepare for marriage. She is so personable and always made us feel supported, which was important to us. She always found the silver lining in our sessions and created different ways to help us feel more connected. Our wedding was postponed twice due to COVID and she was there every step of the way. She brought me comfort during that difficult time and made me feel okay about that loss. For the wedding ceremony, she wrote a customized love story to share with our guests. We had no idea what she was going to say, so we heard it for the first time during the ceremony and she executed that piece so perfectly we couldn’t be happier. Also to my surprise, she even dressed in our wedding colors. We are so thankful for her mentorship and she will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

My husband and I would highly recommend Rev. Orsella and Serenity Ceremonies. She did our premarital counseling and she officiated our wedding. She was recommended by our wedding planning and from our first email exchange, I knew she was perfect for us. The premarital counseling was great for us. My husband and were together for 11 years before getting married so we figured we knew what to expect in marriage but Rev. Orsella really helped us see that our marriage was a new chapter and she helped us prepare for it. She took the time to really get to know us and wanted to see us succeed. My husband and I were married this past summer in July 2021. I searched high and low for an officiant of color (this was something that was important to us) and was having a hard time until I came across Rev. Orsella’s name in a Facebook group. Now let me tell you she did not disappoint! From our first meeting (which was virtual due to Covid) she had such great energy and we immediately felt a positive vibe. Serenity Ceremonies delivered the ceremony that was a perfect match for me and my partner. We had interviewed a number of officiants, and Orsella stood out from the beginning. She took the time to truly get to know us, connect with us, and understand who we were and what we wanted to convey during our ceremony. She was also collaborative and offered some thoughtful options of how we could further make the ceremony our own. And the day of -- Orsella was perfect. The stories she told about us were personalized, touching and true to us. and she engaged our guests through her presence, positivity and charm. One of my cousins said it was like a wedding he'd only ever seen on television. Many of our guests commented on how amazing she was and asked how we found her. Orsella was also an incredible resource when it came to the legal and logistical part of our wedding. She helped us navigate a tricky marriage license situation and was so responsive throughout the whole process. Working with Serenity Ceremonies was truly a gift.

Reverend Orsella was phenomenal from start to finish. I actually found her by using theknot.com while on a hunt for an Officiant. She was the only Officiant we had interaction with and it was a set deal during our first consultation. We also did marriage counseling through Rev. Orsella which was a great experience. Reverend Orsella is very personable and relatable and she was able to get my husband to open up which was very impressive. We love Rev. O and if your looking for the perfect Officiant to make your day special she is it!!

When you work with Reverend Orsella, she will tell you right away that her clients are more than just clients, that they're family. While that may sound cliché, after working with her, we can assure you that it is not. We genuinely looked forward to all of our premarital sessions with Rev. O and were sad when they were over. We first booked with Rev. O in June 2019 for our September 2020 wedding, but we unfortunately had to postpone our original wedding date due to COVID-19. Rev. O was so flexible, kind, and patient with rescheduling that it took a lot of anxiety out of our planning. Because we were a COVID postponement, we went a long time between our final premarital counseling session and our actual wedding day. That didn't matter at all. Speaking to Rev. O, even after the long break, was natural, easy, and fun. It was like we'd spoken every day. To say that she did an incredible ceremony would be an understatement. She really listened to us during our sessions, incorporating our language and personal stories into our ceremony in ways that felt natural and organic to the entire audience. She blended the right amount of scripture and secular language, satisfying both religious and non-religious attendees, and perfectly capturing our relationship. After the ceremony, multiple friends and family members of all backgrounds and beliefs approached us to tell us how moving Rev. O's words were. Many members of our family approached her directly to inquire about her services, with some even reaching out for their own events. It would be difficult to imagine our wedding without Rev. O, and it simply would not have been the same without her words and guidance. Thank you Rev. O!!!

Orsella is incredible.. don’t even ask yourself twice, BOOK HER! It wasn’t even a question in my mind to hire her for our wedding. She genuinely gets to know you as a couple and tells a true love story because she knows you… she makes the process so easy. We received so many compliments about her for guests, everyone was saying how amazed they were by how good of a job she did. On top of her amazing work she blends in like she is a guest at the wedding - she truly felt like family. She captured such great pictures and videos of our reception as well. I cannot say enough about Rev. O! We tired the knot on August 30, 2021. She was part of the reason that my wedding day felt like perfection. After staying steadfast to keep our intended marriage date on the books during the pandemic we met with Rev O via Zoom throughout the entire process. From our initial meeting, we fell in love with her and decided to also utilize her for pre-marital counseling. She really helped us get prepared and navigate some of the issues that we would face as newlyweds. She was extremely responsive and professional through it all. When she promised a personalized wedding ceremony, boy did she deliver! Her words showed us that she took the time to really listen to us and hone in on what made us special as a couple, what we meant to each other, and how our lives were interwoven. Her words brought my husband and much of the wedding guest to tears. My personal favorite was the bit of history she provided when we jumped the broom. We'll be back again down the line when we renew our vows! For any couples considering Rev O, look no further she will exceed your expectations.

My experience with Reverend Orsella was absolutely amazing!! In time of covid 19 and everything being cancelled at any minute, Reverend Orsella made our wedding day such a blessed and peaceful experience. We're forever grateful for her diligence, dedication and efficiency most of all her genuine sprit of encouragement especially in this time of covid. At the last minute our venue changed and we lost our DJ. Reverend Orsella doubled as our officiant and DJ during the ceremony. We just love her! and will forever be thankful for all of her support. My wife attended a wedding where Orsella did the officiating. She said that she was really good. What we didn’t know was just how good she really was. When we got engaged, she was literally the one and only person we reached out to and we’re able to book over a year out from our wedding. Our initial phone call went so well that I had zero interest in speaking with anyone else. She reminded me of family. Orsella was not only professional but she extremely personable. Rev. Orsella was amazing. From the very beginning she was clear and professional and laid out exactly what her process is and how she'd like to proceed with us. We met Rev. Orsella at a bridal expo in July of 2019 and hired her on the spot. Her energy, enthusiasm and just everything about her, was what drew us to her. We had a COVID wedding on 9/6/2020 in Massachusetts. Rev. Orsella travelled all the way from Connecticut to officiate our wedding. She really personalized the wedding, it was as if she knew us for our whole lives. The ceremony was 30 minutes but it was so much fun, we laughed, we cried tears of joy and everything about the ceremony was perfect. My husband and I would do it all over again just to have reverend Orsella officiate our wedding.

She was so flexible. During our engagement we had several life challenges cross our path including a miscarriage, a pregnancy and the corona virus. At each step Rev. O was their to pray with and support us through each challenge, including random check-in text/calls just to make sure we were ok. She was even there with loving support when we decided to change our 150+ ceremony at a venue to a simple intimate backyard ceremony with 10 immediate family members, taking the time to include special touches that made our ceremony personal and memorable. We cannot thank her enough for everything she has done and would recommend her to EVERYONE looking for an officiant. Not only will she oversee your wedding ceremony but she will help thread together the fabric of your marriage with her one of a kind personality and professionalism.

I really don’t think there’s enough space in this box to review just HOW much my fiancé and I love and appreciate reverend Orsella. When you’re selecting your officiant, it’s more than just taking a task off your checklist. To me I had to be able to connect with this vendor, this is the person who is BLESSING your union and joining you officially as husband and wife. From the minute I met Orsella I knew one thing for sure, she has heart and spirit and also is a ton of fun! My fiancé had not yet met her but we booked her anyways just off the feeling I got from that simple interaction. Since then we’ve grown our relationship, had dinner in our home with her and her husband and have had many laughs. Our wedding would have never been the same without Pastor Orsella Hughes officiating our nuptials. Sean and I were just married on October 4th, 2019 in Rhode Island. Reverend Orsella was our officiant. From the first time we met her, we knew she was the perfect fit for us. Rev Orsella is the absolute best wedding officiant! My fiancee and I wanted a spiritual wedding ceremony despite the fact that we did not get married in a church. We were also living in Washington DC and planning our wedding in Atlanta GA. Reverend Orsella was supportive of our needs and even accommodated our limited time in Connecticut by combining two of our counseling sessions into one extended session. Orsella is hilarious and personable, which made it easy for us to get to know her leading up to our wedding. Rev Orsella was responsive throughout the entire process. We arranged for her to arrive in Atlanta just a few hours before our rehearsal started (very early in the morning) however, Orsella still arrived to the venue early, excited, and ready to begin our run through. She felt like family! During the reception, our guests would not stop raving about how much they loved the ceremony! She sent us the ceremony outline well in advance with enough time to make any changes if needed. She sounded polished yet unscripted during our ceremony and I could tell that she was genuinely happy for us. I would highly recommend Rev O!

We booked Rev. Orsella to be our officiant and to our suprise she became much more ! She was very flexible starting with pre marital counseling sessions via FaceTime because our ( my fiancé & I ) schedules were so busy at the time . She took her time to learn about us individually and then as one . She gave us an opportunity to see each other from a point we’ve never been . It felt as if she reconnected us on another level . TAKE THE COUNSELING SESSIONS ! She also took what she learned from our sessions and made our ceremony personal . She’s a very professional woman but very down to earth and I love that about her . Rev. Orsella - A Blessing For Us We were so lucky to have found Reverend Orsella to officiate our wedding earlier this month. Wow. Where do I begin when talking about the Serenity Experience? One word.....AMAZING. Reverend Orsella officiated our wedding exactly one month ago. From the beginning, my husband and I admired her professionalism, sense of humor and her love of God. Which was a plus for us. We utilized her premarital counseling service, which we enjoyed very much and would highly recommend. During our first session, we prayed, we laughed, we joked and happy tears were shed. She taught us different strategies that we apply in our marriage and everyday life. That was just the start of many sessions with her and we always looked forward to the next. One "wow" factor was her remembering a certain personality trait of a family member that we discussed briefly during our first session. This proves that she took the time to understand us. It was at that moment, we felt like she was more than our officiant, she was a part of our family. I would often call her "cousin" and she embraced it immediately. She helped customize our ceremony outline with keeping our love for each other and children as the primary focus. Our guests are still in "awe" at the awesome job she did at our ceremony. She attended our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner and even stayed for our reception with a smile and positive energy the entire time. I can go on and on about Reverend Orsella and how she truly blessed us. Five stars just isn't enough for our remarkable experience. I would recommend Reverend Orsella in a heartbeat, she's the best!

Orsella has been a warm, welcoming, exciting personality to get to know and invite into our family!! She was always there with all answers we could've needed and helping us, smoothly, through the whole process and ceremony! Rev. Orsella was a gift from heaven!! We couldn’t have found a more perfect officiant and pre-martial counselor anywhere in the world. She was so accommodating to our busy schedule and distance, she made us feel at ease about the entire process. She was organized and punctual. But more importantly we knew we truly had someone who cared, someone who wanted to know our love story and find the best way to strengthen and build upon it as we headed into life together. Rev. Orsella was there to be a guiding hand as wedding planning started to get the best of us. She used those tough premarital moments as lessons for the bigger things to come. Rev. Orsella was absolutely amazing! She provided us with an unlimited amount of support and was able to accommodate us during our ceremony and reception! Although we opted to have an outside ceremony we wanted it to feel no different than if we had it in the church. Rev. Orsella made our dreams come true by giving us the religious ceremony we desired! She also made sure to stay after the ceremony to say grace at dinner! She was always smiling and her energy was everything! Thank you so much Rev. If I could give Rev. O 100 stars I would. She travelled to Atlanta, Ga to officiate our wedding. She made the mood of the wedding calming and inviting. Her spirit was sweet and soothing. All of my butterflies disappeared once she prayed. She is my friend for life! When I have struggles and need biblical guidance I will call on her. I can’t rave about her enough!
