ady very attractive as is. Kathy our coordinator was incredibly easy to work with. She was communicative, transparent, and flexible. The planning process was straightforward and there were no surprises. In our opinion, everything was priced very reasonably. The service and food was great the day of our wedding. We had a worry free and fun reception with many compliments from our guests. If you are looking for an outdoor wedding venue, I would highly recommend the Welshfield for the food, service, and aesthetic!

The Welshfield Inn was truly a perfect place for our June 16th, 2018 wedding of about 150 guests. My husband and I's families have been coming to the Inn to dine for years (so we definitely already knew how amazing the food was), and when I lea...
rned that they were able to host weddings, I knew there was no where else I would rather have it. Kathy is a pleasure to work with - she knows everything about the Welshfield Inn like the back of her hand - and she provided great insight on how to make the day run as smooth and effortlessly as possible. The perfectly manicured courtyard, the amazing flowers, the lush greenery surrounding the whole place, creates the most perfect ambiance. Our wedding was exactly what we wanted and I would absolutely recommend.

The Welshfield Inn was a perfect venue for our reception! Our guests (~190) had a great time underneath the tent, even on a hot August afternoon. The staff was professional and provided great assistance throughout the summer as we prepared for ...
our big day. Having the in-house catering (with FANTASTIC food) couldn't be beat either! Highly recommended.

My husband and I were so pleased with the Welshfield Inn for our May 2018 wedding! We had a late morning ceremony on the grounds, a "cocktail" hour in the courtyard with yard games, and then a brunch reception under the canopy tent.
was delicious, prices were fair, and the staff was wonderful! Kathy was so great to work with - she was in constant communication with me throughout the whole wedding planning process and helped make our day run smoothly while navigating iffy weather, making special accommodations for guests with food allergies, and making sure everyone was comfortable during the reception. She is a pro!!
We couldn't have asked for a better venue. It truly was beautiful and exactly what we wanted.

We're so happy that we found the Welshfield Inn for our September, 2016 wedding reception, ceremony and cocktail hour. We used the tented courtyard for the reception. The ceremony was supposed to be held outside under the beautiful catalpa tree...
in front of a red barn, however mother nature had other plans for us. We were able to move the ceremony to the indoor banquet hall the day of. (Five stars for flexibility!) The banquet hall (it used to be a church!) ended up working out very well for our ceremony, and was much more intimate than an outdoor ceremony. It was the perfect size for our 130 guests (about 120 seated.)
Planning was easy. We met with Kathy, the banquet coordinator once before choosing the venue, and once or twice during the planning process, and lots of emails back and forth during the planning process. Pricing and fees were very up-front and fair, which made things easier on us. There were no hidden costs, like cake cutting fees, restroom rental fees, linen rental fees, chair moving fees, etc. (yes, these are all actual costs that other venues wanted to charge.) Before booking the Welshfield Inn about a year in advance, I contacted at least 25-30 other venues, visited seven others, and can confidently say that pricing was definitely an excellent value.
The reception was under Welshfield Inn's tented courtyard. The ground surrounding the courtyard are beautiful and well-kept. There are many great places for photos around the grounds and in the front of the restaurant. The venue was extremely flexible in letting us decorate, as we put a stake in the ground for one of our wedding signs, and secured uplighting to the tent poles with zip ties. The only downside of the tented courtyard setup was that the restrooms were a short but uncovered walk through the rain. The staff had a bunch of umbrellas on-hand for this very occasion, though, and the rain was not a big deal for this casual crowd. Restrooms were clean, and spacious. The food was great. We chose banquet-style pot roast (a Welshfield fave) and chicken Marsala. My guests enjoyed the cinnamon rolls that are also a Welshfield Inn favorite. The only negative piece I have is that the bar started to run out of things as the night progressed. The venue was very accommodating for gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan guests, even making a gluten-free version of their pot roast for two of my GF guests.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend the venue to anyone wanting a nature-inspired, semi-casual, (dare I say rustic?) wedding that is still classy. I was a little concerned at first of how far east it was, but it's very easy to get to. Our hotel block was at the Hampton Inn in Solon, which shuttled guests back and forth for free from the Welshfield Inn (it's about a 20-25 minute drive, and is also highly recommended.)
