Wiley McCrary has been smoking meats for special events since 1983. In 2005, he moved to Savannah to fulfill his dream of starting a restaurant. Wiley’s Championship BBQ opened its doors in 2008 for patrons from all around to get a taste of the award-winning food. Wiley's Championship BBQ’s menu ranges from a variety of meats, smoked daily, such as: Boston Butts, Beef Brisket, St. Louis Ribs, and Half Chickens. Traditional southern sides make a great compliment to these freshly smoked meats such as Mac-N-Cheese, Brunswick Stew, and our Best Beans on the Planet*!

After looking through tons of caterers in the area that were either booked or way out of our price range, Wiley's was so refreshing in that they were so prompt to get back with us, set up a tasting, and get us a quote, and update that as needed. Leading up to our wedding, my now husband kept saying how he was so excited to eat our wedding food because of how good it was at the tasting, and it lived up to the expectations once more! It was so delicious, and we had tons of compliments for how good it was! They were phenomenal to work with, and we plan to visit their location again next time we're in the Savannah area.

Incredible Food for our Southern Charm Destination Wedding! We wanted delicious food that our guest would love and go for seconds. The communication, professionalism, attention to detail and assistance they provided everything. Nina was wonderful at our wedding; the guests were raving about the food. They do tastings prior to the wedding so you can pick what you would like to serve. They even worked with us to cater appetizer and they were lovely; the desserts were also such a treat. The best BBQ in town is always a must for a good time with friends and family on your wedding day.

We CANNOT give Wiley’s enough praise. From start to finish, amazing to work with. The food was so good (all of our guests agreed!) Anna was so great to work with, and we would 100% recommend them to anyone for a wedding or event. THANK YOU, WILEYS!

The staff and food was amazing. I had gotten compliments about the food all night. The staff were very helpful and made sure my guests and I had everything we needed. Would recommend them for a great BBQ dinner.

Wiley’s was AMAZING!!!!! From start to finish they made me feel that my event was important to them. They helped me plan the menu and didn’t overlook a single detail. They arrived on time with DELICIOUS food! They made sure every guest was taken care of, even bringing me drink refills. Sarah made sure all of my questions were answered and never seemed like I was an inconvenience. I will be recommending Wiley’s Championship BBQ to anyone looking for catering services, especially for weddings. They went above and beyond!
