There are so many fun events to look forward to on your wedding day, from walking down the aisle to the first dance to getting the chance to celebrate with all of your friends and family. Following your wedding ceremony, and as part of your wedding reception, you're probably having some form of music, be it a live band or a wedding DJ, and that's where the fun really begins.

While it's nice to hear the songs as you remember them through the speakers or sung by the professionals you've hired from the band, it can also be quite fun to incorporate a little karaoke into your reception. Participation from your wedding guests not only encourages everyone to get on the dance floor, but it also gives your friends and family an opportunity to shine and stand out in a way they may not get to do very often. It also gives close friends and family a chance to dedicate a live song to the newlyweds.

The only tricky part to incorporating karaoke into your wedding reception is choosing the right songs that guests will want to sing along to. Most of the time, your band or DJ can help you out with this part, but in case you need a little extra inspiration, we're sharing some of our favorite wedding karaoke songs.

"Sweet Caroline," Neil Diamond

Lyrics you'll love: "Sweet Caroline/Good times never seemed so good"

This is without-a-doubt one of Neil Diamond's favorite songs, which he released back in 1969, and it has since become more than just an anthem for the Boston Red Sox. The lyrics bring a sense of community and camaraderie that can go over well with wedding guests. It's also relatively easy to croon along to!

"Can't Stop the Feeling," Justin Timberlake

Lyrics you'll love: "Nothin' I can see but you when you dance, dance, dance/Feel a good, good creepin' up on you/So just dance, dance, dance, come on"

The amount of times this song uses the word dance speaks for itself—it's a true dance anthem. Your guests will love that someone took the liberty to sing this karaoke song at your wedding because it truly gets the party going and encourages everyone to gather on the dance floor and let loose.

"Marry You," Bruno Mars

Lyrics you'll love: "It's a beautiful night, we're looking for something dumb to do/Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you/Is it the look in your eyes or is it this dancing juice?/Who cares, baby, I think I wanna marry you"

The lyrics truly say it all—this is certainly one of the best wedding songs of the century. Unlike so many songs that talk about marriage and wanting to marry someone, this one is upbeat and easy to dance—and sing—to. There are also a lot of fun remixes available that are even more dance-oriented. And if you're a full-on Bruno Mars fan, "Just the Way You Are" is another wedding karaoke song that's a sure crowd-pleaser.

"I Wanna Dance with Somebody," Whitney Houston

Lyrics you'll love: "Oh, I wanna dance with somebody/I wanna feel the heat with somebody/Yeah, I wanna dance with somebody/With somebody who loves me"

A great karaoke song gets everyone onto the dance floor, and that's just what this classic Whitney Houston song can do. Not only is "wanting to dance" the main concept that's repeated over and over, but it also has a fun and upbeat tune that simply gets the crowd going. We also love how it acknowledges not only wanting to dance, but wanting to dance with someone who loves you. How sweet!

"Call Me Maybe," Carly Rae Jepsen

Lyrics you'll love: "Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy/But here's my number, so call me, maybe"

"I'll Be There For You," The Rembrandts

Lyrics you'll love: "I'll be there for you/(When the rain starts to pour)/I'll be there for you/(Like I've been there before)/I'll be there for you/('Cause you're there for me too)"

Not all wedding songs have to be about two lovers. This one celebrates friendship, which is likely a very important element of your big day. This is a great wedding karaoke song for your friends to sing together to remind you that they'll always be there (for you).

"Walking On Sunshine," Katrina And The Waves

Lyrics you'll love: "I'm walking on sunshine, woooah/And don't it feel good!"

It's also easy to sing along to and gets the crowd going.

"Livin' on a Prayer," Bon Jovi

Lyrics you'll love: "Whoa, we're half way there/Whoa, livin' on a prayer/Take my hand, we'll make it I swear/Whoa, livin' on a prayer"

Even the younger folks at your wedding likely know every lyric to this 1980s hit that's still one of the most commonly played wedding sing-along songs to date. It's easy to remember the lyrics and has a fun and upbeat melody that encourages guests young and old to head on out to the dance floor.

"Happy," Pharrell Williams

Lyrics you'll love: "Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof/(Because I'm happy)/Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth/(Because I'm happy)"

One thing the guests at your wedding are sure to be is happy. After all, they're getting the chance to celebrate your nuptials and dance their bottoms off to boot. The lyrics are only half the joy that this song can provide—the upbeat tune is a hit with all ages.

"Dance Monkey," Tones and I

Lyrics you'll love: "Dance for me, dance for me, dance for me, oh, oh, oh/I've never seen anybody do the things you do before/They say move for me, move for me, move for me, ay, ay, ay/And when you're done I'll make you do it all again"

The amount of times this song uses the word dance speaks for itself—it's a true dance anthem, and one that's fairly new, being released just a handful of years ago. It's easy to sing, with a minimal amount of lyrics, and gets everyone in the mood to party, which is the ultimate karaoke goal.
