We worked with Jon for our civil wedding photos in Brooklyn Heights and couldn't be happier with the whole process. From the moment we got in touch with him for the first time until the handoff of all the photos, the experience was seamless. His extremely organised work methodology made everything smooth and easy. We spent two hours with him walking around Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO, and the result was a great variety of photos. Jon's got a special eye for lighting, composition and editing. On top of everything, his personality while working made it possible for us to act natural in front of the camera. 100% recommend working with him. Jon was absolutely beyond wonderful on our wedding day. We had a micro wedding in Central Park and Jon captured every second in the most wonderful way! On the day, Jon was truly invaluable. We absolutely adore the photos of our small, intimate wedding. Jon was excellent at helping us relax during our photo sessions (we're not the most extroverted couple). He was super accommodating with all our requests. And with a small guest list of five, he was so exceptionally friendly and professional with our loved ones. Jon was simply a pleasure to work with and everything we were looking for in a photographer for our Coney Island boardwalk wedding. We hired Jon to photograph our wedding in May which we ended up having to cancel due to the pandemic. We still wanted beautiful photos to celebrate our marriage and Jon was amazingly flexible about changing the plan. We did a photo shoot with him in October around Brooklyn Heights and Brooklyn Bridge Park and could not be happier with the results! All of our friends and family keep saying how "us" the pictures are. The details of each photo are beautiful - from great angles to perfect lighting, Jon knew exactly where to pose us and was super fun and friendly to be with. Highly recommend!

Jon was absolute perfection!!! Our engagement photo session was so much fun, we never stopped laughing. Jon had photographed both my wedding & engagement party this past year. he made everything so easy for us. my husband & i are not the best at taking pictures but Jon made everything feel fun ! he got such great shots of us at our wedding- we love all the actions shots from the dance floor! JC Lemon was the most important part of my entire city hall wedding (besides my bride and family of course)! The moments he captured were so candid, so precious, and simply perfect. This review is woefully overdue, considering that JC Lemon Photography was truly the best choice we made of all vendors for our wedding. We've never taken professional photos before and didn't take engagement photos, so we were a bit nervous how we'd feel taking formal photos on our big day. Jon felt more like a wedding guest than a photographer and he made us, and our entire bridal party and family, feel completely comfortable. Jon and his team were never invasive or pushy--and being that we've personally been bridesmaids/groomsmen many times over, we know how incredibly rare this is in a wedding photog. Our photos came our gorgeous--both our posed portraits and the awesome candid shots that were captured. We were also grateful to Jon's communication and organization leading up to the wedding day--as those getting married will understand, planning a wedding is a huge feat and there are so many moving pieces and details to consider. I consider myself an extremely organized person, but Jon kept us on track for major decisions we needed to make and helped us set a schedule the day of, which was invaluable. We spoke to him many times throughout the process so that by the time our wedding day came, he felt like a friend and we knew we could rely on him. Planning a wedding is stressful enough with so many different moving parts. Our photos was one thing we rested easy about because of Jon’s utmost professionalism and excellent communication. From start to finish, Jon was crystal clear about what to expect and when all the flurry of activities were happening all at once the day of, Jon was always at the right place at the right time, capturing all the moments. My wedding day felt like a happy ending to a fairytale and Jon was definitely one of the angels that made it happen! We've just had our photos back 4 weeks after our New York City elopement and we couldn't be happier. From the first contact we had with Jon to getting our photos yesterday he has been absolutely amazing. Eloping is quite nerve wracking but Jon was happy to answer all of our questions in the build up to our trip. From the minute we met with Jon outside City Hall it felt like we could just relax as he took us through the process. We've never had a photoshoot before and we're pretty uncomfortable with the attention, but Jon just made us laugh and let us be ourselves. The 4 week wait has felt like a lifetime but it's completely worth it. Every picture is amazing, and they've completely captured how we felt on the day. We can't thank Jon enough, and we would recommend him to absolutely anyone who's thinking of eloping.

Even though I typically squirm and dislike posing for pictures, Jon made everything so comfortable and casual. Jon was extremely nice and easy to work with during the planning of my wedding. He's very easy going and very responsive over email, text, calls etc. and meeting to discuss our needs. Having John as our wedding photographer was one of the BEST decisions we made for our special day! He was so professional , new all the amazing photo locations and was very easy to get along with , he also provided a recommended 'timeline' for our day which we found extremely helpful!! John is amazing at what he’s does 10 out of 10 !

Jon was incredibly thoughtful, responsive, and kind through the whole process of scheduling and planning. His photos are beautiful, and he perfectly captured the small, candid, elopement vibe we were going for. Looking through the photos takes us right back to our day, which is the whole point, no?! I cannot recommend Jon highly enough! His photos of our wedding were exactly what we were looking for; fun, natural, relaxed and he totally captured the 'moments' perfectly. He managed to find out exactly what our style was early on through Skype chats and questionnaires, and made every step feel like an exciting and enjoyable part of the wedding experience for my partner and I. Jon took time out of his schedule to meet us and our wedding planner at the venue a few days before the big day to discuss how the day would pan out. He had lots of insight into great places to seat our guests, where to get the best pictures and the least noise pollution, where to enter the venue from to ensure we didn't cross paths before we were meant to. His valued ideas totally shaped the way the ceremony played out on the day and it all ran perfectly with the most beautiful backdrops and set ups for every photo. Job was very stealth and inconspicuous, even when travelling with us on the family trolley bus. He got great natural shots of everyone without anyone noticing he was there. For the few whole group shots we did ask him to take, he commanded the group quickly, efficiently and with great humour. Many of our guests commented positively on Jon's work and presence on the day , and have raved about his photos since seeing the finished products. Jon's follow up after the day is also great; it's like talking to a friend every time and he made the first viewing a real experience for us. Jon is warm, friendly, funny and incredibly professional; an asset to any event. You would be crazy not to hire him!

Best photographer ever! I knew our picture would turn out great but I was absolutely blown away when I finally saw them, better than I could have ever hoped for. Jon has amazing skills to make you photos amazingly special plus he's a great guy.

I can't say enough good things about Jon. He really takes the time to get to know his clients, and does a great job capturing their personalities in his photos. He is very creative, and comes up with great photos if you just let him go to it. We didn't have a lot of specific requests, just wanted him to capture the day, and he really did. My family has looked at our photos, and everyone has commented that they look so natural, not posed or fake. On top of all of that, he was able to capture excellent photos despite the nor-easter that hit on our wedding day!

Can't say enough about how glad we were that we chose JC Lemon Photography. We travelled to NYC in October 2016 and were married at City Hall. Jon had been great in advance, communicating well, giving us advice about the best times and days to go for our big day as well as how he would meet us. Upon arrival in the US he called to confirm and plans were put in motion, we had read up on forums about what to do but he directed us really well as to what we needed to get with regard to the marriage licence etc. On the morning of the wedding Jon met us and took us through the process really well, and he clearly had a lot of experience of this, knowing which members of staff were best to liaise with and helping us with the paper work, but was also a really nice guy to wait with, very chatty and fun to be around. Jon really put us at ease and and got some shots. He captured our ceremony perfectly without impacting or disturbing the process, and then he knew exactly where to go after to get the kind of pictures we would love.He took us over into Dumbo in Brooklyn and knew all the little spots and picturesque backgrounds. He stayed ell after the time he had allotted us and was really good at directing us in the pictures, which neither of us were normally very comfortable with but Jon really made it easy and got the best out of us. Back in the UK about 3-4 weeks laster he gave us the log in details to our own folder of pictures and it was really easy to extract them and distribute them to our friends and family and get them printed. Jon is a great photographer, really organised and helpful, as well as a lovely man. Cant recommend him enough to anyone, but especially people from the UK going to NYC to get married and want great pics with a helpful guide through the process.

Words truly cannot express how amazing our pictures are! Everyone has raved about them. Jon had great communication throughout the planning stages and on the day of the wedding. We received a phenomenal sneak peak a few days after and the rest our pictures a few weeks later. When we met him in person he instantly put everyone at ease. He was exceptionally knowledgeable of fun niches to photograph in and worked very hard to give us exactly what we wanted. We did a first look at Grand Central and Jon made that time before the wedding one of my favorite parts of the day.

Jon was great with the logistics of directing the family to get all combinations. He was notably skilled in dealing with those who were less interested in being photographed in the first place. Finally, and most importantly was the final product - perfectly captured the feel, the mood, the theme, and our memories of the day. My family will cherish these pictures for the rest of our lives. It was great working with Jon, both for our "engagement" photos as well as on the day of our wedding. Firstly let us start by saying we would fully recommend Jon! We live in the UK and got married in NYC. We came across Jons website which we found really easy to navigate and were instantly inspired by his stunning portfolio! When we enquired he was quick to respond and really helpful in helping us understand his services. We opted for the base elopement package and an additional hour of coverage as we loved his scenic shots and wanted to visit a few destinations within NYC. Jons site and booking service is extremely professional. You get a log on to a portal where invoices are saved, and contracts stored - it was all really transparent and user friendly. We booked him about six months before the elopement and we had contact with him regularly before the day. He took time to get to know us through fun survey forms and also gave us lots of opportunity to shape our photographs. For example he allowed us to Pin our favourite photos from his portfolio onto a mood board to understand what sort of photos we wanted to achieve. Closer to the wedding he called us to say hi, and go over the logistics which was really helpful. Although we had done a lot of research into getting married at city clerks office he was really knowledgeable and double checked lots of important things you need to remember when eloping from abroad! Clearly a pro! On the wedding day Jon was amazing! He Met us at the city clerks office and was so friendly. He was genuine in his excitement for our big day and helped us through the process in the city clerks office, he knew, like, everyone there! He remembered stuff from our surveys and previous interactions and made us feel really comfortable. We were apprehensive about our photos being taken as it can feel awkward and we thought it might be quite tiring but Jon put us at ease, was really good at telling us how to stand and where to look etc and made it a lot of fun. He took us to some great destinations and locations, really has an eye and knows his stuff. We had managed all our locations with time to spare so Jon added another bonus location to make the most out of our time with him which we really appreciated, plus these are some of our favourite photos now! That evening Jon shared two sneak peek photos for us to share with our friends and family which we really appreciated! Jon kept us in the loop and it took about 4 weeks for us to get our photos back. He scheduled in a Photo Reveal session over Video call which was amazing. He made sure we had a drink and then played us his favourite photos from the day over a slide show. He then talked us through everything we needed to know about our online photo gallery and how it functions. We were blown away by the photos. Our family and friends have been wowed by them and so many people have said how unique and individual they are. Our wedding was amazing to us and Jon captured it perfectly, when we look at the photos it makes us so happy and takes us back to that day. Jon is very talented, friendly and genuine and if you have a chance to book him for your big day - do it!! - you won't be disappointed !

Jon is the absolute best! Our pictures were absolutely stunning! He's so incredibly creative and thinks outside the box to make real art, not just wedding photos. I would highly recommend Jon, his work is perfect!

Jon is amazing. His photography is top notch, he's an absolute pleasure to interact with, and the way he runs his business is modern, tech savvy, and efficient. Right from the get go we appreciated the fact that Jon has his business setup such that we can handle everything online, no paper non-sense required. He responds quickly and is super attentive to your requests. After meeting him in person we were pretty much sold. He knows his stuff, doesn't pressure you at all, and can make even the most awkward moments into a laugh. On the day of the shoot he was there waiting for us at the City Clerk's office ready to go when we arrived, walked us through the whole process and put us totally at ease. My wife and I were pretty bummed that it was raining and overcast on our special day but Jon was not deterred at all, in fact he saw it as opportunity. He capitalized on the fact that the rain drove most people away from some of the areas we wanted to shoot and captured some great shots. We are super happy with the way the photos turned out! We also appreciated that he already had contingency plans lined up to account for the ceremony running long, traffic, etc making us late in addition to particularly inclement weather. We can't say enough nice things about JC Lemon Photography and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone!

Probably the best decision I made for our wedding plans was to hire Jon, he was so professional, so helpful & so much fun on the day & on top of that the photo's are absolutely stunning! Jon captured moments & I didn't even realise were happening, his eye for detail is incredible & he has that rare ability in photographers to capture different styles, romantic, fun, sexy we got such a great mix of these in our photo's. I can't recommend Jon enough, he's a true southern gentleman even helping out carrying chairs around New York for me! He was a big part of day & added so much to our wedding, hire him!!

I couldn't be happier with my experience! Jon seriously helped shape our wedding day in such a positive way! He knows so much about city hall and the area and the timing that it made us not have to worry about any of it. He fit in well with our small group and pretty much seemed like part of the family. Overall we were just very happy :)

Working with Jon was an absolute pleasure. He really made us feel at ease and we had a lot of fun taking our pictures. He is so talented and our pictures turned out amazing. I can't wait to work with him again at our wedding reception for our family and friends!

We had a city hall ceremony on a freezing Monday morning and then a day time brunch reception the following weekend. We used Jon for both and we are so happy we did. The first thing you notice about Jon how is jovial and nice he is which makes it a real pleasure to spend time with him. We are really thrilled at how our pictures came out from both the ceremony and the reception. I look at them on a daily basis and have distributed them to all of my family (who also gush over them). The price is extremely reasonable for how high of a quality photos you are getting. He has an incredible eye and a modern, not-at-all cheesy kind of style which I love. I want to get married again so I can hire Jon again!
