We selected Jos A Bank for our groomsmen (10 groomsmen, and my husband) for the wedding suits. We wanted to find an affordable option for our friends, but still decent quality. My husband's experience was great - quick and easy. The groomsmen's... experience could not have been more of a headache. The 10 groomsmen live in 5 different states, and we were initially told this wouldn't be a problem. The plan was to have the selected suit in the computer system, and for each person to be able to go to their local store and order the correct suit. The store on King Street downtown Charleston ruined everything. In an attempt to get everyone's commission, a woman named Kat set up the "registry" (if you will) in the computer. She called my husband and complained about the suit we selected. She said it was ugly, and an old man suit (for the tailored fit, bright navy suit). She convinced him to change the fit of the suit. Turns out she picked out an entirely different suit on her own. We made it very clear we wanted a light navy, and we ended up with suits that everyone agree appeared to be black. Each time a groomsmen went into a store, the sales person tried to change the computer system to get the commission. This ended up in several groomsmen getting the wrong suits. Several groomsmen were sized completely incorrectly. Several groomsmen paid for alterations, and when the suits arrived they were unaltered. They were accommodating to fix the mistakes days before our wedding, but it was their mistakes to begin with. Very disappointed. Safe yourselves the headache and just go with a more expensive company.
