Based in Austin, TX, Kims Wedding and Live Event Paintings produces oil paintings in person at your weddings and other milestone occasions. Have you ever want your image in an oil painting? Now you can with Kim's Event Paintings for your wedding day or any other special occasion. A wedding painting is an original and artistic gift designed to inspire a memory and evoke a magical moment in the form of a painting. I have trained and studied traditional painting techniques for years. Rest assured, I will bring my love for painting and my skillset to the table. Services Offered As your wedding event painter I will personally help you decide the perfect location at your wedding venue to set up, paint and capture your moment while its happening in real time. I will get there 3 to 5 hours early to set up and start painting the background and scenery while waiting for you and your quests to arrive at your wedding venue. My work is created with oil paints giving you a luminescent finish and beautiful color quality. After your wedding I will take your painting back to my studio, add important finishing touches and allow your painting to dry. Your painting gets a final varnish sealing which is necessary to protect the painting as well as to bring out the depth you traditionally see in oil paintings. The process takes 3 months for drying, after which your painting will be mailed directly to you. I promise it will be well worth the wait. Kim Karnes

Owner

Kim Karnes is an an Austin based artist who has been developing her oil painting skills since 2014. Prior to Austin she lived in the San Francisco for 35 years. The meditative landscapes of Northern California have greatly influenced her work and color palette. Kim, a mother of 4, was originally trained as an interior designer. Combining her love of interiors and developing an eye for art has lead Kim to her own unique, romantic, dreamy style of oil painting. Her love for creating and sharing her paintings with others has been her passion.
