d not have a wedding planner and we had a 230+ person wedding. Lynn with Sazama's made sure every detail was thought of and attended to. She was kind and flexible and had a calming way about her. Planning a wedding can be stressful, so to work with people who are calm and know what they are doing is a huge help. She did so many extra steps for us, like coordinating place covers and setting up our decorations. Their pricing was fair and transparent, and they were easy to work with when customizing packages. Beyond the process, the day itself was perfect! I had guests say their steak was one of the best they've had- not just at a wedding but overall! The passed food during cocktail hour was delicious and the staff was great. Not one detail was missed. Somehow Lynn or the manager was always near by when I had a question and they were awesome at keeping things on time. They even brought cocktails to us from the bar so we wouldn't have to get up during dinner. The venue was so elegant yet the two outdoor spaces allowed us to have corn hole and giant jenga during the cocktail hour and cigars during the band break. We had a fantastic plated dinner and Saz's casual late night food later. They really had it all! The views of the sunset on river are so stunning and the long room meant tables were only two rows deep in front of our head table, so even though it was a large wedding, it felt personal. You could really tell they took pride in their work and truly wanted your day to be perfect - and ours was. I would give them 100 stars and recommend them again and again.

The weeks leading up to our wedding could have been absolutely crazy but I felt confident that everything was being handled and orchestrated the way that I wanted. All of our vendors had worked with Sazama's at the Marcus Center before which made everything much easier. I did not have to worry about any day of coordination because it was all handled by Lynn and the rest of the Sazama's team. All of the service was extremely professional and well organized. Our ceremony was in the Fitch Gardens. Many of our guests commented that it was the most beautiful wedding ceremony they had ever attended! It was a beautiful location and we were so happy that the weather ended up cooperating! The Bradley Pavilion also exceeded our expectations for a reception space. Although a very large space, our 160 guests did not seem swallowed up by the room. Now the most important part.. the food! Literally everyone was talking about how tasty all of the food was all night. Guests are still raving about it weeks later! From the tasting to the night of, every single dish exceeded our expectations! I cannot say enough about how delicious our meal was. With food being the number one thing people remember about a wedding, you cannot go wrong with Sazama's! I highly recommend Sazama's and the Marcus Center to everyone!

e were so thrilled with the Sazama's team. Keith and his team take care to make sure your every need (and want!) is met throughout the planning process and on the day-of. As for the venue itself - you can't ask for much more! The location in the heart of downtown is absolutely perfect, and proximity to hotels (the InterContinental is across the street) is perfect for out of town guests and the wedding party. The ballroom is dramatic and gorgeous, with unique lighting and beautiful downtown and river views. The outdoor balcony overlooking the river is a nice touch for getting some fresh air during the night, and being in the heart of downtown allows for some awesome city photos. The ballroom is large enough to hold close to 500 guests, but our 225 guest wedding did not feel like it was swallowed up by the space. We had our ceremony in the atrium overlooking Water Street, which is managed by the Marcus Center (different than Sazama's, but made to be a seamless experience). Having everything contained to one building (including cocktail hour in the Fitch Garden - a beautiful outdoor courtyard on the property) was key for us and made logistics a breeze. If you work with local vendors, most of them will have worked with Sazama's and the team at the Marcus Center. We hardly had to worry about any day-of coordination, as Keith and his team had things down to a science with getting equipment, cake, etc. into the venue and getting the room set up. We even had the benefit of coming in the night before to begin setting some details up - avoiding that last-minute/day-of rush was so relieving and helped us relax and enjoy the weekend leading up to the wedding. Most importantly - the food is incredible! We knew from our tasting that it would be, and the night-of did not disappoint! We had several guests tell us it was the best wedding food they can remember having - and we agree. Top notch service and quality all around. Lots of words here, but we can't say enough good things about this venue and would recommend it to anyone looking to have a downtown Milwaukee wedding. You'll be in good hands and will have all the tools you need to create the best day of your life.

the day of the wedding, Lynn and the rest of the staff made the entire process enjoyable and stress free. Every detail of the event was accounted for and Lynn and Karen were a tremendous help answering all of our questions and providing recommendations. They understood exactly what we wanted and they executed it to perfection. The entire staff was courteous, well coached and provided outstanding service to all of our guests. We received countless rave reviews regarding the venue, staff and excellent plated dinner. Many guests noted that the appearance, presentation and quality of the food was second to none. Did I mention the food was amazing?! We can’t express our appreciation enough for everything the entire PAC team did to make our daughter’s wedding a beautiful, stress free and unforgettable event. Everything exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend the PAC – 5 stars is simply not enough!

A week before our appointment, my now husband and daughter poked our head into the ballroom. I was nervous we'd get kicked out but Keith bumped into us. We told him we had an appointment but were dying to see the room. He was SO HAPPY and offered us coffee and told us to take a look. My husband was already sold just based off of Keith. Then we came in and met Lynn. A little more reserved than Keith but just as knowledgable and accommodating, she took the time with us to make sure all our questions were answered. It was a no-brainer for us. Our tasting was fun and we got to meet Chef who went over all the dishes. Lynn and my husband and I went over more logistics during the tasting. The day of the rehearsal was really chaotic for me, but Lynn handled it with ease. Our officiant had never done a wedding and was asking her for pointers! But she just rolled with it. The day of I was so nervous I was pacing. Lynn checked on me to see how I was doing. I thought that was incredibly sweet. I saw the remembrance table and place cards and seats for the ceremony and everything was picture perfect, I teared up from seeing how beautifully everything was laid out. Lynn checked on me a few times closer to the ceremony, and Karin checked in on my husband and asked how he was doing. She even offered to go get my mom's dress which she forgot at her house! After the ceremony they flipped the room in an hour. We did our first dance and when I see a picture of it I can actually see Lynn in the background smiling. I think it's so sweet she stopped to watch us even with her having to do her job. She distributed the tips, and Keith came up to the head table to refill wine and check in with us every 30 minutes or so. I know they were doing double work too as the MSO was playing that night too. The bartenders were super nice as well. We got so many compliments on the hors dourves and entrees! They even went out of their way to make one dish specially for a Vegan we had. The table settings and salad displays were beautifully set up and they lit candles on all the tables even though we hadn't gone over that. It was the perfect touch. Whenever I felt a ton of anxiety prior to the wedding I told myself that we were in Lynn, Keith, and Karin's hands and that seriously worked. I felt so much better knowing that we hired the best of the best. I can't thank them enough, especially for putting up with me and some of the family! You can tell they really love what they do. Our parents were really impressed with Lynn's style and way of handling things as well. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't do anything differently. It was also cool that they packed up all of our gifts and helped us put them in the car. And they held on to all of our stuff until Monday and Lynn was able to chat with us about how it all went and walked us down to our car with the cart. We were married 11/11 and two weeks later we are still receiving compliments on how beautiful the ballroom was and how great the food was and just the venue in general. Our fairytale wedding wouldn't have been perfect without Lynn, Keith, and Karin! And thank you to all the crew as well. I am tearing up just writing this, remembering how perfect our day was. Book Sazama's!

For example, my husband and I were out on the balcony taking pictures at the time dinner was to be served, and Lynn came out to ask if the staff should serve dinner or wait for us to finish our pictures. This may seem like a simple gesture, but to us it’s just one example of the way Lynn made sure that everything was EXACTLY as we wanted. Speaking of dinner, the food was incredible! The chef made sure the tasting was very informative and fun. We received so many compliments on the food and would recommend Sazama’s Fine Catering to anyone! In addition to the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff, the location of the venue is perfect. In the heart of downtown Milwaukee, the views were beautiful and our pictures are fantastic! We were overwhelmed by the number of compliments our guests had for the staff, the food, and the venue, and we will certainly recommend the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts and Sazama’s Fine Catering to our friends and family in the future! ally wanted to make sure our day was just the way we wanted it. They were so accomodating and helpful! The day before our wedding when we were setting up, the wrong chair covers were delivered. Karin was so quick to find a solution, I never stressed! We ended up getting upgraded seating and it was beautiful. The staff at the Marcus and Sazama's is truly amazing. We received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was! The Chef did an awesome job with the food and even made one, single plate that was gluten free for one of our guests. We could not have received better service. Staff - Friendly and truly at your service. We were so amazed at how incredible the staff was. Lynn was our main "go to" for the event, but Keith, General Manager, was there as well to assist the entire night. My wine glass was never empty thanks to him :) Food - Our guests told us night of and are continuing to say "it was the best food I've ever had at a wedding." We chose package #3 which was awesome because it included appetizers, entree, AND late night food. The staff allowed us to rearrange things so that we could get the food we wanted, it was absolutely wonderful! Venue - Such a beautiful space! Between the two outdoor areas and the ballroom, there are plenty of options for pictures and for your guests to escape to if they want some air. The hall itself was simply beautiful (thanks to Sazama's but Esther too - flower lady). I would recommend everyone and anyone to have their wedding or an event at the Marcus Center. I was never stressed out and I owe that all to Lynn and Sazama's. Thank you for a perfect night!!!

She was so caring, compassionate, professional, responsive (I could go on and on). She was even so accommodating with giving us options when we had planned to have our ceremony in the Fitch Gardens and there was a chance for rain. The venue set up both inside and outside and luckily the rain stopped and we were able to have the ceremony in the Fitch Gardens and it was perfect. I also want to comment on all of the other support staff that we worked with on the day of the wedding. This included Keith, Karin and Vicki. They were so amazing. They felt like family members in helping everything get set up so perfectly and run so smoothly. And then there is the fooood!! Everyone loves food, and the food that was catered by Sazama's was so so so delicious!!! We got so many compliments on the food. Lynn made the tasting process so easy and they are super accommodating and can basically make anything happen for you food wise. Another really awesome perk that the PAC allows you to do, is leave all your stuff in the venue the night of (if there is not another wedding the next day they have to get ready for) and then you can go pick it up the next day, that was so awesome because I didn't have to worry about getting everything out that night, because that would have been the last thing on my mind. I would absolutely absolutely recommend the PAC to any one who is planning and having a wedding!!!

e five stations for dinner were fantastic.! I'm still receiving text, emails and verbal compliments on the food. The entire night ran smooth. I can't think of one thing that didn't go as planned nor disappointing. Don't worry if you can't get AMAZING Karin as your coordinator because you will still be in great hands with Keith. I felt they worked to satisfy us as if there were family! Hats off the Sazs catering at the Marcus Center! I guarantee you won't be disappointed having an event there!

Lynn for over a year leading up to the big day, she was so helpful with us and made sure everyone, including outside vendors, were on the same page. She answered all questions from both sides' parents as well as accommodated us all for the tasting about 3-4 months out. Sazama's food was outstanding, and they created a "Wisconsin-themed" wedding in regard to food choices such as cheese curds, cheese plates, brat sliders, etc. The venue was absolutely beautiful and fit our 300 guest count with no issues and without feeling crowded at all. After the ceremony, the staff flipped the room within 45 minutes and everyone was seated right after the happy hour in the promenade area as well as the courtyard in the middle. We would recommend the Performing Arts Center and Lynn to anyone considering a downtown Milwaukee wedding!

Everything is clean, kept and in perfect working order, right down to the last lightbulb. Fitch Gardens (the outdoor area where the ceremony took place) was pristinely groomed and set up perfectly to accommodate our ~180 guests. From top to bottom, inside and out, we were thoroughly impressed by everything the Marcus Center had to offer. The staff was superb. Keith, Lynn and the entire team were a delight to work with--all were extremely friendly, easy-going, well-natured and tremendously organized. They struck the perfect balance of professionalism and personality, which set us at ease and assured us that everything would go smoothly. And it did! The Marcus Center runs a tight ship--our prep, ceremony, reception, food and beyond were planned to perfection, right down to the minute. You will not find a better place in Milwaukee to have your wedding or a more attentive staff to help you ensure it's perfect. Months later people are still telling us how beautiful everything was and what a great time they had!

It was also really nice to not have multiple weddings going on at the same time at the venue. Finally, the staff is wonderful, and they truly made the entire process so easy. They were accommodating with last minute guest count changes, and they took care of everything on the wedding day so that we didn't have to stress and could really enjoy the day. We literally dropped off all our decorations with very little instruction, and when we arrived at the reception, everything was set-up perfectly. I couldn't have done it better myself. I would most definitely recommend the Marcus Center to anyone getting married in Milwaukee.

Lynn Brueggemann, the Events Manager was PHENOMENAL. We were treated with such respect and personalized service from the moment we walked in. After we decided to move forward with PAC things only got better. The ability to customize our day in any way we wanted was so critical. At our tasting, they even allowed us to try a cuisine that wasn't on the normal menu. Lynn was so helpful, thoughtful, and proactive in every step. There were so many things that I struggled with figuring out how I would pull off, then I would run it by Lynn and she would say no worries, we can handle that for you. Everything was seamless, to the picking out of linens, setting up the room, other vendors accessing the building. I even reserved the green room for the bridal party to get ready that morning. The continental breakfast and mimosas were amazing. There is no shortage of incredible photo opps within walking distance. The venue was absolutely beautiful, we received so many compliments on the food, the service was impeccable. My husband and I continue to talk about how the day turned out more perfect than anything we could have imagined. I would definitely recommend PAC as a venue. With the service, prices, and Lynn you cannot go wrong!

The room looked amazing, Lynn & the rest of the Sazama's staff were around, available, and extremely attentive for the entire night. Octoberfest was going on outside the night of our wedding, but if I hadn't known in advance, I would have had no idea... We truly felt like the only group there! I did not work with a wedding planner, and I am very happy about that decision... It would have been a waste of money, as Lynn ensured that everything went smoothly & according to our timeline the night of the wedding. The night was perfectly seamless & stress free. She worked really well with all our vendors.... band, bakery, florist, etc. The food was absolutely delicious as well, and we got a lot of compliments from our guests about the food... hors d'oeuvres, entrees, and late night snacks. Lynn was extremely accommodating of all of our requests... We had a specific room set up in mind which was very important to us, even though it was not the typical set up of the room. She was so easy to work with in order to get this to work out as we hoped & we loved the ultimate set up of the room. We also provided complimentary parking for our guests in the parking structure. We sent out a note with our invites that this would be the case, but forgot to tell Lynn until the Thursday before our Saturday wedding. She took care of everything for us, even with the short notice & our guests had no problems whatsoever. Myself, my husband, & my mom all would highly highly recommend Sazama's & the Marcus Center for a wedding reception & we would not hesitate for a moment to use them if we had to do it over again. We had an amazing experience & it was the perfect evening... Everything we had hoped for and more!

It's a testament to the great venue and staff. Our guests were so impressed with the Marcus and Sazama's staff. The food was also incredible and we received so many compliments on both it and the amazing service that accompanied it. I could not have been happier with the day, the venue, and - I can't say it enough - the fantastic service. This venue is also so centrally located that it is very, very convenient. We had many out of town guests who were able to fly in and stay close enough that no car rentals were necessary. We planned a weekend's worth of events in the area around the Marcus (all walking distance) and all guests were so impressed with the downtown area. There is a ton to do and many places to stay which was a big benefit for our traveling guests, most of whom had never been to the area and didn't know what to expect from Milwaukee. a very streamlined and beautifully elegant evening. For starters, we met with Lynn from Sazama’s, and she is wonderful with asking questions to help us figure out how we wanted the evening to flow. We had a wonderful menu tasting, and even had some custom menu options made to accommodate our dinner selection. Lynn assisted us in coordinating with the linen company to select the linens for the room as well. She was always available by phone and she was so wonderful to work with… as was the rest of the Sazama’s Fine Catering team. On our wedding day, the room was set up absolutely beautifully. Lynn was there from beginning to end, making sure we were okay, and making sure things went smoothing. Thank goodness her team is quick thinking, because we did have a problem…. The DJ. Our DJ was supposed to be set up for cocktail hour, and he couldn't get his equipment to work. Sazama’s had their own soft cocktail music playing for us while the DJ was scrambling to figure out his equipment. Sazama’s also gave him a microphone to use, and assisted with music for the dinner portion of our wedding. Finally, after a couple hours the DJ got up and running. This was very stressful for my husband and I. We found comfort in knowing the Sazama’s staff was prepared for ANYTHING!! They literally saved our wedding. The dinner was delicious. The venue was absolutely beautiful. The staff amazed me. Over a month later, we are still hearing from our friends and families how wonderful the food was/ the venue was/ how much fun everyone had at our wedding!! I am so happy we had our wedding at the Marcus Center for Performing Arts, as I cannot imagine a more perfect place to celebrate our nuptials with our family and friends. Bravo Sazama’s!! You were outstanding!!

My husband created a custom menu and Dan and his team exceeded our wildest expectations. Not only did he hit the mark with our ideas, he helped us tweak the menu and make it even better. We continue to hear about how wonderful the food was even though it has been months since our wedding. The front of house staff on the day of our wedding not only made my husband and myself feel special, but also, all of our guests. We have heard so many compliments on the service. In particular, we had several guests with major dietary restrictions/issues and they were constantly checked on and made sure that everything that they were provided with was satisfactory. Another shout out to the kitchen, the guests with restrictions continue to tell us that this was the best wedding food they have ever had (many of them generally have to have very bland items). Overall, we could not have been happier with the crew from Sazama's and will definitely use them again for any event needs that we have. You cannot go wrong with this caterer!

id work out beautifully. Throughout the night I can not say enough about how much the staff did to make sure everything was perfect. Everyone attending complimented the venue and staff and I couldn't help myself from saying over and over how amazing everyone was during the process and that day. The room looked amazing and everything was set up on time and exactly as we planned. Hands down, pick this venue for your wedding! Everyone has heard of wedding nightmares, you won't have one here!

the beginning was very impressive with her knowledge and understanding of all the operations that took place at our wedding. She had an answer to every question we threw at her. She was open to all of our ideas, worked great with the vendors we brought in, extremely flexible with meetings, was there every step of the way on our big day making sure everything went well without a hitch. Our food was absolutely fantastic, the wait staff was professional and quick on service, the facilities were clean, well lit, and great to host a nice party. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking in the Milwaukee area. To this day I still get compliments about our reception. I typically don't write reviews unless they are warranted, and I felt the Marcus Center and Sazamas deserved one.

ion in the Bradley Pavilion. Everyone at the wedding had such an amazing time - they were able to go outside to the Fitch Gardens and out on the beautiful balcony that overlooks the river. Many people at my wedding had never been to Milwaukee before and they absolutely loved the view and the ambiance. I worked mostly with Karin at Sazama's and she was so patient with me - I changed our contract about a million times. She really made sure everything was perfect for the big day. Overall, this venue was definitely out of our price range but I had to follow my heart and take the plunge. I'm so glad we picked the Marcus Center - multiple people told me it was the best wedding they'd ever been to!

My cake person promised me gluten free cupcakes for some of my guests and when she forgot them Lynn came up to me and calmly said they were did not come however their chef was willing to make a flour less cake for my gluten free guests! It was an amazing save and a huge help!!! I owe them so much! They made my wedding so special and it was really important to me that all my guests were treated like princesses and princes and they achieved that and more! Best place in Milwaukee!!!!!! I literally can not sing their praises enough!

Our only complaint would be that we would have liked more information regarding how the pricing was done, but we are very detail oriented. :)

They told us to go home and relax and do it the next morning. The next day, when we got there, it was all packed up ready for us to load. I could not say a bad word about this venue.

With an outdoor balcony overlooking the river and an interior courtyard for your cocktail hour, it has a lot to offer your guests. And the Bradley Pavilion itself is simple, yet beautiful. I think this will soon become one of the most desired wedding locations in Milwaukee, so book early!

e it. I knew it was probably too expensive, but I wanted a chance to see everything. Once we got there, I knew we couldn't have it anywhere else. Keith Aspinwall, the catering manager, understood our situation and worked within our budget to create the most beautiful and memorable event in our lives. We could not be happier. All of the planning was easy, Keith was always available to answer questions, and the night of the wedding went smoothly with the staff's helpfulness and courtesy.

The venue set up is perfect for an intimate yet spacious cocktail hour and then a grand entrance into the ballroom for dinner. My guests raved about the food and service. My only regret is I forgot to ask for the curtains to be opened when the sun went down. The view and downtown night lighting would have created an extra romantic element but nonetheless it was a wonderful night and in a wonderful space.

If you're considering having your wedding and / or reception at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, I would suggest you look no further and book it ASAP (if you're lucky enough to find a date that is open) - you will definitely be pleased. ute. Food was absolutely fabulous and plenty of options to choose from, plus the waitstaff was wonderful. I had no worries as everything was handled perfectly according to my wishes. And I could not beat the price per person. I chose a great meal with salad, 2 kinds of meat, pototo and veggie. I also had about 5 different appetizers and mini rueben/other sandwiches as a later evening snack. We paid for beer, wine and soda, but guests paid for anything else. All of that was at a price of about $45-$50/head. I could not get that good a price at any hotel or facility in the downtown area unless I wanted to skimp.;Honestly nothing, just the summer sun. The room faces west, so if you have a summer wedding, the curtains need to be drawn until the sun sets otherwise it's too bright. Would not recommend summer. When you have to close the shades in the room, it really takes away from the atmosphere. I attended a summer wedding at my facility, so that is why I know what it looked like. Only other downfall is parking. They offer parking vouchers to hand out to guests for the structure, but you are required to pay for each voucher handed in after the event. $5 per car. Otherwise guests need to try and find street parking in downtown Milwaukee. Not too bad if you get there early enough.
