We are an out of state couple so Oronoque seemed like a great place for our reception because their price includes EVERYTHING. We had many issues shortly after signing our contract. Just to give you a time frame, we initially signed August 2015... and our wedding was October 2016. To make a very long story short, by the time our wedding came around we were on our 4th wedding coordinator. We never got any notifications of changes either. It took me emailing several times to have a reply days later that that person either quit or got fired. This was extremely stressful as we had to go over every single plan and detail promised to us by each of the previous coordinators. The third one even promised us to pay for a grooms cake which the forth coordinator did not honor in the end. We only agreed because we were just done with the whole process. We were also told we could set up the night before since there were no events. When we showed up with ALL the decorations, we found out we cant set up because there was a baby shower to end at THREE PM and our reception starts at FIVE! It was a big mistake and they took the blame but it doesnt help. My mother in laws friend offered to go right after the ceremony to Oronoque to make sure everything was set up and its a good thing she did. Had she not been there to reiterate all of the directions, nothing would have come out right.
I gave 3 stars because in the end the reception was great. FANTASTIC FOOD, lighting, and overall layout of the facilities. But the planning leading up to it was HORRENDOUS.
My advice: after signing, dont even call the place. Get EVERYTHING in writing in email. You will need it in writing when a different coordinator comes in and tries to tell you this is the new way they do something (example: our alcohol list was SIGNIFICANTLY different from the packet we received on signing day and the one given a month before...which is a good thing I asked and compared!!). You will be promised one thing by one person, they most likely wont write it in your file, and there will be no record of it.
