We bought Shore Acres in 2021 because we loved the 46 acres on the lake and felt it the most beautiful property on the Islands. We spent the past three years upgrading the entire premises as well as building a lakeshore bar so that it would become a " must visit" location. Kelly is an environmental/energy expert and she wanted birding on the property and emphasis on the beauty of Shore Acres. Neil is a retired Naval officer who had a career in Dept of Defense consulting. We felt that upgrading the property would make it an ideal location for meaningful weddings.

Shore Acres is a beautiful venue on North Hero Island, Lake Champlain. The staff at Shore Acres is incredibly hospitable, friendly and helpful in all aspects of our wedding event.

Shore Acres is an absolutely beautiful wedding spot! My husband and I had the most wonderful event weekend with 60 of our closest family and friends. Everything exceeded our expectations— the food, the staff, the rooms, the newly renovated farmhouse. Our guests want to return in a couple years for an anniversary reunion! Such a special place completely immersed in nature. Highly recommend this gem of a wedding venue!!

Shore Acres made our dream come true….I had always dreamed of getting married at St. Anne’s Shrine in Isle LaMotte, however I found there were limited venue options especially for the size of our expected invites. Here I was a bride trying to make my dream come true while also living through a pandemic! It was a co-worker that had mentioned Shore Acres to me. Once I saw the website, I knew it was my place to celebrate my nuptials. The waterfront, the mountains the overall picturesque views, I fell in love. When I contacted Shore Acres, they were just changing hands. Kelly and Neil were now the new owners. After speaking with them regarding my vision and knowing I’d be the first wedding they hosted I had no problem being their guinea pig. Management was wonderful through the whole process. They kept up to date on restrictions and Covid updates. They were responsive and overall FUN to work with. Shore Acres made my dreams come true and I am still being told what a beautiful venue I chose and how all the guests enjoyed their stay and the majestic nature that this place brings. Shore Acres and its staff will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

We recently got married at Shore Acres on August 17, 2024. Eileen, the event coordinator and Pam, a manager at Shore Acres were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. They were both overly accommodating in meeting to discuss details of the event and being available as needed for questions. Eileen was there for the delivery from Vermont Tent and assisted in setting up the entire morning of the wedding. We worked with them to craft signature cocktails and they went above and beyond to make these cocktails happen. Eileen was like having our own wedding planner! She eased a lot of the stress the day of the wedding by being there for setting up tables, chairs, the ceremony space for our wedding. Eileen also assisted in taking down tables and chairs which made our next day relaxing and stress free. Thank you to Shore Acres and their wonderful staff for making our day the best day yet.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Bravo Zulu (the lakeside restaurant and bar) this past June (2024) and can't say enough wonderful things about our experience! The staff, including the Pam the restaurant/Inn manager, Eileen the bar/events manager, Eric the head Chef, and owners Neil and Kelly were absolutely incredible. They were so helpful and kind, and truly went above and beyond to make our wedding reception beautiful, no-stress, and fun. Chef Eric's food was absolutely delicious and the signature drinks were amazing- our guests still rave about the food and drinks! Pam and Eileen were there early that morning to help me set up and stayed on site for the entire wedding to make sure everything went smoothly. Even the owners stopped down to check in and make sure I was happy. The wedding planning was super easy because Bravo Zulu is a restaurant and they had most items there so I didn't have to spend more time and money figuring out rentals for cutlery, glassware, tables, chairs, etc. The setting of the venue is absolutely beautiful, being that it is right on the lake front and has amazing mountain views. Our favorite part about having our wedding reception here is that we were able to use Shore Acres as a beautiful vacation getaway and use their property and amenities for the entire weekend. All of our guests came from out of town and stayed the entire weekend, many of them even stayed right at the Inn. We truly enjoyed using the property the whole weekend, including docking our boat at their docks to use the whole weekend, using their beach and kayaks/paddleboards, their tennis courts and enjoying their delicious breakfast which was included at the Inn. My in-laws stayed at the beautiful and newly renovated farmhouse that is right there on site which worked out so well because they were able to host lots of family from out of town and be right on the property of Shore Acres and also include the amenities, including breakfast. Overall, Shore Acres was an incredibly beautiful place to get married and by far the best value for the entire wedding weekend experience. Unlike other venues where guests have to stay off site and you only get to enjoy the venue for a few hours, we were able to enjoy Shore Acres the whole weekend, and for a way better price than other nearby venues.

My husband and I got married at Bravo Zulu (which is the lakeside restaurant & bar onsite at Shore Acres) and I can’t say enough great things about our experience. The staff, including the owners, head chef, restaurant/inn manager and bar/events manager were absolutely wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to make sure our special day was no-stress and absolutely wonderful. They were very flexible and allowed us to provide our own desserts which saved us a lot of money. They helped me set up for the wedding. They let us use all of their restaurant stuff (tables, chairs, linens, silverware, etc) which made planning super easy. The food was absolutely delicious. The venue is such a beautiful setting being right on the water with a view of the mountains. I love that our guests could stay right on site at the Inn and could stay to enjoy the entire weekend on Shore Acres property and use their amenities (delicious breakfast, tennis courts, boat docks, beach on the lake, kayaks, etc). With all of this being said, this was actually the least expensive wedding venue we looked at and by far the nicest and easiest to plan logistically considering how much was included! My in-laws stayed onsite at the farmhouse rental which was very convenient for them to be right onsite and able to host lots of family. I would highly recommend any engaged couple looking for their future wedding venue to get married here!! I already can’t wait to go back and visit Shore Acres.
