The Whispering Oaks Estate

The house itself is gorgeous and the property it is on is even prettier. Included at this venue is use of all of the outdoor space (you can choose where you want your ceremony), an event space (kind of like a fancy garage), a guest house and a main house that in total sleep 25 people. We rented the venue Thursday-Sunday. We had a whole weekend of fun! The kids swam in the pool, I was able to set everything up the day before and tear down the day after, all adults had their own private space and the kids got to share a big “loft” space with plenty of beds for each of them. Everything there is so picturesque and the photos turned out amazing. Porsha (the owner) was really easy to work with and even gave us early check in and late check out because of a tiny error on her side. Unfortunately our pup wasn’t allowed but that is because there are longhorns on the property. We loved getting to see them and watching the baby longhorns play with each other. This venue made for a peaceful and fun wedding weekend!

If we could give The Whispering Oaks Estate more than 5 stars we would! When looking for our venue, our top priority was to able to have somewhere we could have our intimate wedding of 40 guests and accommodate some of our family and friends the day(s) before and after our wedding making it not only a one day event, but a 4 day/3 night getaway. Not only was this venue able to provide that, but also AMAZING service from Porsha and everyone there we worked with. Porsha kept in contact and let us know she was there for anything and everything we needed from a tour, walkthrough with our coordinator, and any questions about the house or event space, etc. She answered so kindly and promptly. She put our mind at ease knowing everything having to do with our event space and lodging was taken care of!

I am not sure if there is enough text space to say all the good things I want to say about the property and their management. They were very helpful and responsive from the first day we contacted them. We live in Houston, and were planning a wedding at the property, so we had a lot of questions as we were making plans, and without us being there - had to rely on them to answer. They were always responsive and worked to get us exactly what we wanted and needed. The vision of the couple was a beautiful, peaceful place that the whole wedding party could stay all weekend to relax and enjoy each other and then an outdoor ceremony without having to move from place to place. This property fit that vision perfectly. The beauty of the property is obvious. The set up and easy transition from "hanging out" space to "wedding" space saved so much time. We had a few hiccups in plans due to colder than anticipated temps and a county burn ban, but the property managers worked with us and hard for us to get us what we needed. They went above and beyond and made a trip to the Fire Marshal's office to ask questions when they didn't get a call back quickly, so that we all understood our alternatives. The logistics of the wedding, the cocktail area, the reception area and the lodging areas could not have been better. Every single person in a wedding party said it was the best, most relaxed and beautiful wedding they had been to. On wedding day as the girls were inside getting ready, it was fun to see the guys out by the pool watching college football and just relaxing on the grounds. The Astros were in the world series, so we got to watch them on the big screen the night before the wedding with our awesome smore's bar. They take pride in the perfection of the property and interior of the homes, but have managed to create a relaxed ambiance that makes it feel like home. I could not imagine a more perfect weekend. I can not recommend this property or this owner/management team enough. We can't wait to celebrate anniversaries with our combined families there.

We had an intimate wedding at The Whispering Oaks Estate (around 30 guests). This venue was absolutely beautiful! It blew us away right when we drove onto the property. The house can sleep up to 25 people, so all of our guest who traveled from out of town were able to stay onsite for the entire weekend! We also rented the “reception venue” for the night of our wedding, and that was the best decision we could’ve made. The owners were INCREDIBLE to work with--extremely responsive and accommodating to our wedding weekend. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!
