Exemplar Sound was fantastic about getting us started and checking in a few times prior to our wedding. We felt like a priority to them and didn’t have to chase them down for help. Daniel worked with us and really made our wedding day memorable. He did a great job keeping his eye on us for cues when we needed a change or anything else we needed Day of. We would absolutely use them again.

Corbin and co. with Exemplar sound provided an exceptional level of customer service and dedication to ensure the music for our wedding kept the guests entertained and moving. The variety was perfect. When Exemplar says they can match what ever tone you want for the environment they mean it.

Corbin and Christian were so great to talk with and plan everything out. Christian did an awesome job with timing on all my songs and also checked in occasionally to make sure everything was going well! Would definitely trust them to DJ and they use a really great app to get all your songs organized in

Corbin was amazing for our remote mountain wedding! I chose him based on both the app he used and the fact that he was the most socially adept DJ I’d talked to—hoping both of these would mean he was organized and very capable of reading a crowd. Thankfully I was right! He ensured the planning process went smoothly, and we were lucky enough to have him personally DJ our wedding—he arrived early, understood the timeline well and we didn’t have to worry about any of it. I would strongly recommend using Exemplar!

Corbin was the absolute best DJ for our wedding. He met with us multiple times before the help execute my dream. He was willing to work with us and was so understanding. I didn’t ever have to worry about a thing with Exemplar Sound. He played absolute bangers and matched the vibe of our wedding in the best way. 100% would recommend. One of the top wishes for my husband and I on our wedding day was that everyone would have an amazing time and dance the night away! When I found out the guy from the fun band I knew in college had a DJ business, I knew I didn’t have any other choice than to book Corbin and Exemplar Sound! Corbin made the planning process so easy and had great communication all the way from booking to the big day! He arrived early, had all equipment set up and sound checked for both the outside ceremony and inside reception, and worked flawlessly with the ceremony musicians. The ceremony music was perfect, and the day went so smoothly. Everyone from the babies to the grannies to our wild friends was on the dance floor at the reception! He took our vision for the night and a small core playlist and delivered exactly what we wanted! He always played the perfect song at the perfect time to keep the party going. Months after the wedding friends and family are still talking about how our reception was the most fun they had had in a long time, and that is 100% thanks to Exemplar Sound and the amazing Corbin! Very responsive, reasonably priced and offers perfect add-ons. Highly recommend. The photo booth was a huge hit, I definitely recommend this. Christian was our DJ and he was wonderful. He played every song as I had it in the timeline, he knew when to switch up the music, was super friendly and even got on the dance floor for a bit. He took any requests I made, checked with me for what songs were ok to play, etc. He pep talked the bridal party giving speeches, double checked things when needed. He even gave me a thumbs up before I walked down the aisle when I looked nervous. He was such a wonderful part of our wedding. My guests all loved him! Couldn't speak highly enough

We absolutely loved working with Corbin throughout the planning process and then Christian the day of our wedding! We had only good feedback from all of our guests about the DJ and the uplifting fun vibe he brought into the room. We were all on the dance floor until the end when he began to pack up. Our day would not have been the same without the good music and dance moves. He knew how to keep the dance floor alive. We also were able to utilize the uplighting for our venue which intensified the beauty of the venue itself and then provided the party setting for our reception. Corbin + Exemplar Sound as a whole was a perfect choice for our wedding!! I knew I’d want to be part of curating what was played at our wedding- from the aisle/first dance songs all the way to the music people listened to at cocktail hour. All I had to do was make my playlist and Corbin did the rest! It was perfect. We also added on the photo booth and it was great! So easy and fun for the guests to use and they loved it!

Exemplar Sound did an incredible job for both our ceremony and reception. We got a detailed checklist ahead of time to send over songs that were important to us, had the ability to customize our dance playlist for the reception, and even had freedom to make a special request as a surprise for my dad! It was such a relief to know we could trust our evening would go smoothly and that we were in such good hands!

As the dictionary puts the term "exemplar": representing the best of its kind.....This is nothing short of exactly what we needed. Our DJ was honest, went with his gut on the songs that were played, and overall did a great job. He even was honest about it being his first solo gig. I actually felt bad that we switched the schedule up on him, but with a little communication on our end, everything was well and good. It needs to be said that, while DJ's aren't perfect, you can't just expect them to know everything about timing. He was perfect with reading the mood, turning the speakers outside (our reception was a mix of outdoor and indoor because we had a venue that could be opened to the mountains) and communicating with us. Overall, I would give them 10 stars out of 5.

Exemplar Sound was the best possible DJ service we could have possibly asked for! On our initial call, Corbin told us about himself and his other great DJs. He answered all of our questions, and they really had a grasp of all the wedding music for each phase of the wedding. Christian was our actual DJ for the event, and he did an amazing job! He was so fun, he knew exactly what to play and when to play it. Despite us meeting him the day of, it was like we had rehearsed the entire day multiple times; he was on point. I sent Christian a comprehensive playlist before the wedding, and he took the time to listen to it and pick out what he would play at the wedding. Christian and exemplar sound made the day extra special, and I would definitely recommend exemplar sound to anyone looking for that perfect DJ!

Corbin and Christian were great to work with! Great at communicating, super laid back, and they were able to strike a balance between the playlist that my husband and I made (which was... eclectic) and what our guests might actually want to hear and dance to. Definitely not an easy feat! We had more people dancing than I anticipated, including myself!

The owner Corbin made planning such a breeze!!! We had Eli as our DJ and not only did he keep the party going the whole night, but he did the ceremony beautiful as well. Every song was played on time and perfectly. If you have a young crowd and are worried about a fun DJ, book them! We had mostly a young crowd and they did AMAZING! Corbin with Exemplar Sound worked with me as a DJ on a 5/1/2021 Wedding in Nashville. Corbin was easy to communicate with, responded in a timely manner to emails, chatted with me on the phone to make sure we understood the plan, and executed perfectly on the wedding day. Corbin worked with the venue combining his knowledge of sound and production with their in house system for an overall successful ceremony and reception set. His ability to entertain the room and act as MC was stellar. Corbin also helped with a few live music sets (piano, guitar, vocals). The artists (family and friends of bride and groom) were also comfortable working with Exemplar Sound. Not only did Corbin do a fantastic job DJing the wedding, but he came dressed to impress with a pretty cool suit. I would highly recommend Corbin and Exemplar Sound.

I can't believe I'm just now writing this, but I came across Corbin's page while looking on the Knot again! Corbin is the BEST DJ around. He made everything effortless and smooth for our special day. I feel awful I’m just now writing this because Corbin was BEYOND AMAZING!!!! From the first email/phone call exchange we had with him I knew he totally understood what we wanted and had so much trust in him!!!! I first reached out to Corbin in jan/feb 2020 and he was great BUT with the whirlwind the wedding world was in the following months of 2020 he was even more amazing to work with!!! Not only was he able to completely grasp the vision I had for our wedding but he was so calm and collected about moving dates/making things work on the fly/and keeping us reassured that he was there for whatever we needed and everything would be great! Planning a wedding in 2020 was stressful to say the least and I can not be more incredibly thankful that we had AMAZING vendors such as Corbin to help relieve some stress! My husband and I don’t live in Tennessee so planning a wedding from afar was also a challenge but in talking on the phone and emails I just had SO much trust in him and his abilities and he 100% did not disappoint! Even when some of my guests on the fly wanted him to up the tempo from the acoustic music we had requested, he checked with me first and then on a whim changed the whole set up to keep our guests happy! Like who does that, he was amazing!!!! I truly could go on and on about how pleased we were from beginning to end!!!!! Hoping to have another event I need him for in the future just to be able to book him again!!!! :)

Corbin, was fantastic in giving my wife and I exactly what we asked for for our wedding. I gave him a detailed itinerary that he followed precisely and it was nice when he used his discretion as a professional when it was appropriate.

I originally was getting married in June in Gatlinburg and had hired Corbin to be our wedding DJ. Due to Covid-19 I decided to come into town last minute to have a smaller wedding. I knew I needed a DJ to play music during the ceremony etc. so I reached back out to Corbin to see if he would still be available for my new date, which was just two weeks away. I didn’t give him very much notice, and I accidentally told him the wrong day of the wedding! Corbin came through and even with my error, had no problem coming to help with my wedding. He was prompt, kind, courteous and professional. I didn’t get to much time to talk to him, but everyone that did couldn’t stop talking about what a nice guy he was! I am from out of state in Wisconsin so finding wedding vendors was difficult when I am not from the area. Corbin outdid himself and I truly could not be happier! I would recommend him to everyone!!!

Corbin was just the DJ we needed for our wedding! He had two sound systems that allowed for a seamless music transition from the ceremony to the reception (both were in different places of our venue).
