Gettin' Fresh is a West Michigan catering and food truck company with a focus on high quality ingredients and bold flavors. You have two types of catering styles to choose from; buffet style/appetizers or our food truck. You are able to customize your menus to try to stay within your desired budget (pricing starts at $25 after fees and taxes). Our menus range from traditional American style options to global infusions with unique flavor combinations that will impress your guests.
We travel 2 hours from Grand Rapids in any direction for Buffet Style and 1 hour in any direction with the Food Truck. We served at over 30 weddings in 2022 and can't wait to serve our 2023 Brides & Grooms!

Hi, i'm Abbie. Nice to meet you! Connecting with excited Brides & Grooms and becoming a small part of their big day is the best. Gettin' Fresh originally started as a one of the first Food Trucks in Grand Rapids but as we consistently received requests for catering, especially wedding receptions, we began to offer buffet style and appetizers to provide a more traditional service . Gettin' Fresh catered our wedding reception, and served our guests the next day with their food truck. Every single thing I tried exceeded my expectations. The taco bar at the reception was so much better than just a simple taco bar, and everything was seasoned perfectly. The food truck menu was stunning. Their breakfast burrito, burger, and mac and cheese were delicious, but the star of the show was the grilled cheese. I was blown away by it and was recommending it to guests all day. We received so many compliments from our family and friends on the food. Plus, Abbie and her team were great to work with before and during the event. They made things easy and helped us focus on enjoying ourselves. We're so grateful for them and highly recommend their catering and food truck!

The food was delicious! From appetizers to entrees to desserts to late night snacks. Our guests loved the food and we loved their emphasis on sustainability/eco-friendly practices. They accommodated our guests' food restrictions and even made clear labels. Also the leftover food they packed up for us is sitting happily in our freezer :)

Gettin’ Fresh was great to work with throughout our experience. They were easy to communicate with even with their busy schedule which we really appreciated. Our trials were delicious and everything we had hoped of and we were so excited!
Come wedding day, we were a tad disappointed when some of the food was not like our trial or what we had discussed that we wanted. (Example - we had communicated we wanted the Brussels and Bacon option and when served at the wedding they were spicy and without bacon, we had also tried the shrimp in the trial and it was a much different flavor and seasoning come wedding day). Since my husband and I only had our main course, we were slightly disappointed.
However, we had heard from our guests that the appetizers and desserts and the remainder of the main course was great.

We are sorry to hear that some aspects of the meal did not meet your expectations on your special day. We sincerely apologize for the discrepancy with the Brussels and Shrimp options. I will be sending you an email with more details about this but wanted to mention a couple of things here. The Brussels recipe does include red pepper flakes and did when you had your trial and I verified with my production and service crew that there was bacon in the dish. My apologies for the unexpected spiciness and lack of bacon in your portion! I suspect the bacon had settled in the bottom of the pan and needed a stir – I regret that that went unnoticed when you were served by my staff. As for the shrimp flavor that was a miscommunication. We likely did modify the marinade recipe slightly and regretfully did not communicate that to you.
We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and are grateful for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that your guests let you know that they enjoyed our services! It means a lot to us that they had a positive experience. We were also praised by the venue owners and welcomed back, which was also validating and greatly appreciated.

Abbie and her team did an absolutely amazing job catering our wedding! Abbie was so easy to communicate with prior to our day and very patiently worked with us to create a menu that worked with our guests and dietary restrictions. On our big day, everything went incredibly smoothly with the set up and the food was DELICIOUS! All of our guests couldn't stop talking about how good the food was, honestly the best food I've had at a wedding. Abbie & the team served dinner for our 10/8 wedding and we could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish. We went with two sides, three entree options, and a platter for cocktail hour that were all amazing. Our only regret is not getting more food!! The food for cocktail hour was PLENTY for our guests, but it was so delicious that we wish we would have tried more!!
The food was an absolute hit and all of our guests & other vendors were raving about how delicious everything was, and days later, they still are!! We always pictured having a food truck for our wedding but could not have imagined the convenience until we saw it in motion.

We were so pleased with Gettin Fresh! We booked without a tasting, and the food was absolutely delicious! Abbie provided lots of helpful information throughout the process, and was so accommodating and thoughtful for our vegan and gluten free guests. The staff on the day of our wedding was so friendly and helpful. We would absolutely cater another event with Gettin Fresh.

The food was AWESOME! We used Gettin' Fresh for our rehearsal dinner and reception. We had the food truck for our rehearsal, and our guests are still raving about how good the food was. Many of our guests proclaimed that the burger was "the best burger they have ever had!" We were running late, but Abbie and Gettin Fresh were so kind and started later than we originally planned as well without making a big deal about it.
Our reception was equally as amazing. We had a beautiful cheese and charcuterie spread for our "happy hour," and Abbie put a small plate together for the wedding party to bring on the party bus as well. The reception dinner was delicious and everything was beautiful and well planned. Abbie was easy to work with and communicated effectively, which was important to us while planning a destination wedding. 10/10 would highly recommend!

Abbie will make your guests crave wedding food! Everyone complimented us on how great the food was, and most went up for at least a second plate. I have many food allergies, several that are life threatening, and Abbie customized her menu to fit my needs and to make sure that I had no worries on our wedding day. Her flavors are out of this world, and you can tell that the ingredients are fresh. Do your stomachs a favor and book her for your big day!

Abbie and her team served up a fabulous meal out of her food truck for our wedding, and it was everything we wanted and more. She was so easy to work with and the food was delicious- casual but elevated, with the quality ingredients she always uses to ensure every bite is delicious. Gettin' Fresh was one of three food trucks at our wedding, and they were a HUGE hit. The food was top quality. The portions were perfect, and the variety in the menu was refreshing. More than this, Abbie was a breath of fresh air when it came to coordinating the details. She was responsive, thoughtful, and on top of everything. She accommodated my requests, anticipated and answered questions like a pro, and was just an all-around lovely person to work with. I truly did not expect coordinating food trucks for my wedding to go this smoothly, and I think a huge thanks goes to Abbie for making my dream a reality. I would work with Gettin' Fresh again in a heartbeat!
