Victor from Manhattan City Music was an incredible DJ and MC for our wedding! A great DJ is key for a great wedding, and we are so fortunate to have chosen Victor! He brought so much energy and brought our crowd to life. He played all the right music, brought out his saxophone, and even sang wonderfully! Victor played a mix of great classic Sinatra-esque music, Motown oldies, and modern day hits for the dance floor. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND MANHATTAN CITY MUSIC!

Victor was the best DJ we could have asked for. He brought the perfect New York City energy, even playing a saxophone and singing Frank Sinatra on request. His voice is tremendous, and it added an extra special touch to everyone who travelled into NYC for our wedding. Victor Lesser from Manhattan City Music was nothing less than incredible! He was highly recommended by our venue (3 West Club). After our first meeting with him, we knew he was the right choice for our wedding and he did not disappoint! Our family can be timid and shy on the dance floor, but Victor managed to have every single guest out of their seat and on the dance floor the entire night. His music selection was fun and varied and always kept everyone entertained and never had a lull period. He also surprised everyone when he got on the dance floor and showcased his amazing saxophone skills and hyped up the party. Victor is a jack of all trades and also has an amazing voice. On top of being a fun and entertaining DJ, incredible and exciting sax player, he also has an amazing voice. He really set the tone of our wedding and started off with a beautiful Frank Sinatra song sung by him right on the dance floor. He was so amazing that people couldn't believe that he was singing live and was not a recording! At the end of the night, every guest came up to us just to tell us how amazing Victor was. He really helped make the wedding what it was and it was nothing less than perfect and so much fun.

We worked with Victor for an annual yacht party with throw for clients on the Hudson, and couldn't have been happier with their service, go with the flow attitude, and of course.. their performance! Wind picked up and we had to quickly move the group inside, but there was no stress. They made the transition with ease and continued a great show. This is typically a low key, social event but Manhattan City Music had the group dancing and having a great time. Would absolutely work with them again.

Manhattan City Music and the absolutely incredible musicians who are part of the band truly made our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding magical. Not a single person remained seated. We received so many rave reviews from our guests- all of whom singled out the band as the best they’d ever heard. Not only were they remarkable performers, they were also the most engaging and entertaining group of individuals. Each took special pride in tailoring their music to our specific audience. Victor was one of the best vendors we worked with for our intimate 55-person wedding in Brooklyn. Not only did he help us with our day-of schedule and track time to keep the night moving forward, but he fully captured everything we envisioned for the music of our special night. From the oldies played during cocktail hour, to his personal performance of The Way You Look Tonight after our first dance, to his infamous sax solos during our 90's dance party (yes, he knows the sax solo in Tina Turner's The Best) - I can confidently say no other DJ could have understood my me and my husband more. His announcements were tasteful and low key, and above all, his kind spirit and sense of humor made us feel comfortable throughout the entire wedding planning process.

Victor and his wonderful band single-handedly CREATED the essence of the "live-new-york-quintessential-sound" for our wedding. When you think of NYC there is no other feeling than the vibe this great band brings you. We put on a bit of a show for our guests, replete with a script, music cues, complicating timing, band interaction etc. Not only did Victor spend hours with us on the phone or going to a location scout with us to rehearse, he added his own ideas, flare and made the whole performance that much better. Our guest keep texting us telling us how much fun they had dancing to the eclictic mix of songs MCM had, and how it truly felt like a "New York Minute" dancing and listing to that indelible sax sound. We are already dreaming up new events we can throw just to have an excuse to welcome MCM back. Cannot recommend more. Truly grateful for Victor and MCM!

Victor Lesser and MCM made our special day all the more special. We are grateful that we had them- from the ease of communication to the planning and their execution. The incredible musicians for the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour brought an unassuming elegance that we were looking for us. Then, the reception was exactly what we dreamed. The band’s music and vibe was simply fabulous. The had everyone dancing- old and young. MCM brought the celebration to our night. Our friends are still raving about how much fun they had.

My husband and I really wanted to book talent that would be able to play anything from today's hits to soul to country to reggae and the lists goes on... On our wedding day, Victor and his musicians delivered that and so much more! From the start, Victor was wonderful to work with. He listened to our wishes and helped to make suggestions that would perfectly capture the love we wanted to share during our ceremony and the celebratory excitement of our reception. We also needed a group that could perform traditional Jewish tunes. MCM even learned two songs for our first dance and seamlessly blended them together, creating an unforgettable moment for all of our guests. Whether the moment called for upbeat dance tunes or light music, MCM delivered. Our guests had a fantastic time and are still kvelling over the the talent!

The best decision you make for your wedding will be hiring them. We were on the dance floor the entire night. People didn't even want to sit down for water, because every time they went to sit another song was played that they wanted to sing and dance along to. Every generation of guest loved the music too, from people in their 20s to 80s they were on the dance floor. HIRE THEM. Six months later and people are still telling me how great the band was.

Victor and Manhattan City Music are the best DJ and band I have ever worked with! They were able to get a very diverse and reluctant crowd ON THE DANCE FLOOR moving and grooving all night long! Everyone had a total blast and was raving about their work, even the people you wouldn't expect. You absolutely can't go wrong hiring them to make your wedding joyful and lively and fun. Also, our event was in the middle of a huge rainstorm. Vendors were canceling and late left and right, but they were on time and perfect professionals. We didn't have to worry about a thing. Could not recommend them more highly!

Victor’s team at Manhattan City Music was excellent! They did a great job providing a band and DJ for our wedding, and they really got people dancing and created a celebratory atmosphere. They were also very accommodating in arranging the types of music we wanted, which was especially important because we had a multi-generational crowd so we needed music that a variety of folks could enjoy. VL and MCM made our wedding a spectacular event to remember. VL was easy to work with and communicative, we had a few unique song requests and he was very accommodating. The band played a wide range of music that included all of our diverse requests! More importantly, the energy and performance quality was amazing. The band was engaged with the crowd throughout and several guests remarked they had never seen a better wedding band. We couldn’t agree more! Manhattan City Music performed at our annual Admiral of the Ocean Sea (AOTOS) event on Friday, 28 October 2022. The event was a tremendous success and guests were totally satisfied with the music and band members.

Hired Manhattan City Music for our wedding in CT, April 2022. Victor was nothing short of amazing and helpful throughout the planning process (met in person and discussed our music selection, etc). They really came through on our wedding day, as our guests are still raving about the band till this day! He kept everyone on the dance floor throughout the night, played the best music, and most importantly, they interacted with the guests- Victor played the sax in the middle of the dance floor, which made it that much better! Great band, highly recommended.

Victor Lessor was the most amazing professional that we worked with in planning our special day! We were immediately put at ease that no matter what we decided he would make it amazing. We had a somewhat unconventional venue and with that in mind he reached out to the venue directly and made so many special arrangements so that nothing was missed. Oh my gosh we loved them! Our guests had a blast at our wedding with Victor and his band and having an amazing band enhanced the evening so much. Victor was incredibly pleasant and organized to work with leading up to the event. He went above and beyond to learn about what traditions were important to my family and did an amazing Tarantella at our wedding. Top notch personable musicians playing a wide- ranging song book that kept the room dancing and singing along the entire evening. If you want your guests to rave about the best band they've ever heard at a wedding, you should book MCM. They were INCREDIBLE!! They can play anything and will! They did the ceremony and reception music at our wedding and they were out of this world. Victor is easy and fun to work with and highly accommodating. I had a few abnormal requests, such as Earth Wind and Fire/September as a wedding processional, and a modern twist on Say A Little Prayer For You as a first dance, and they nailed it. Absolutely sensational.

Victor and Manhattan City music did a phenomenal job at our wedding! Not only is his band exceptionally talented, he is also a stand-up guy who went above and beyond to help my wife and I out when we were in a pinch (think Covid-related scheduling issues). We had a jazz trio for the cocktail hour, and then his band performed afterwards at our reception for 5 hours. To this day, we continue to hear comments from our friends and family telling us how amazing the band was, and that they want to keep them in mind for future events for their loved ones. I highly recommend Victor and Manhattan City music for whatever event you are planning - this band is A+ material.

Victor was superb from the beginning to the end. He was very flexible in meeting our needs. He is also extremely organized. I really liked his webpage where we can enter in all the information about our venue and choice of songs. I was surprised when he told us he can emcee , dj and play the saxophone, and he ended up doing all of this really well. It was a magical night and Victor played a large part in it. Will keep Victor in mind in the future for company and family events :)

We booked Manhattan City Music for our wedding in August. Victor was beyond perfect. He was on time and very punctual. He had all of our guests dancing the entire night. He not only DJ’d but also sang and played the saxophone. I cannot recommend this company enough. A lot of planning went into our special day and Victor nailed every request we had. Not only was he extremely professional but he is also a terrific person. I’ll be recommending him to all my friends and family in the future

Victor is a pro. He does a great job of hearing what his clients are interested in and understanding their vision and then also adding his advice, given his years of his experience. He’s really easy going and a true pleasure to work with. His portal makes the process easy and organized. The band was great and had the entire party on their feet. We had a blast. He also provided lights and a great photo booth for us.

Victor was extremely accommodating as the pandemic forced us to move our wedding date multiple times. MCM was the only vendor that didn't look to charge more or make cancellations difficult during COVID- you can book them with confidence. When our Wedding day finally arrived MCMs professionalism & experience with weddings made it a stress free experience - I did not need to worry they coordinated with the venue as needed. The band is filled with talent for every instrument & kept our group dancing till the last minute. We were very indecisive and chose our first dance song the day before the wedding & the lead singer nailed it. We have recommended many of our friends to use MCM

My husband and I can’t say enough about our experience with Victor Lesser and the Manhattan School of Music. Our wedding was magical and Victor was truly a difference maker. We had an intimate, diverse crowd and non-traditional venue. Victor not only kept the guests engaged with his music selection, he also was a showstopper with his saxophone play and Sinatra-esque vocals. Consummate professionalism from the preparation and planning phase (where Victor visited the venue ahead of the event on his own time) to the very end of our event - we even seamlessly added on an hour to the evening as no one wanted to leave. Highly recommended for his ability to listen to exactly what you desire; yet make tasteful recommendations and stay true to the goals of your event.

We don’t even know how to start thanking Manhattan City Music for everything they did for my wife and I on our wedding day! Our entire wedding guest list loved their music! We were very impressed with their wide range of songs. We wanted a more ‘classic’ feel to our wedding and we were able to enjoy music from Billy Joel, to Frank Sinatra, to Van Halen, to the Beatles, to solo saxophone and keyboard instrumental duets (my wife walked down the aisle to Can’t Help Falling In Love With You by Elvis instrumental). Every musician in the band was just as talented as the next. They performed during our Ceremony and Reception. They were even able to offer excellent photobooth options! Really like a one-stop-shop for entertainment. We highly recommend them for any/all events and we will definitely keep them in-mind if/when we have another event. Married on November 6, 2021 at the Skylark in Manhattan.

This group is the best!!! Even a hurricane couldn’t slow them down literally. As other vendors cancelled on the day of the wedding due to the inclement weather Victor didn’t at least we knew we would have a band. This was so comforting to know that they honor their commitments and would work with whatever unexpected situation arose on our most important day. Victor is the consummate entertainer and professional. Responsive and easy to work with. Wide range of musical repertoire. They were one of the highlights of our reception. We would recommend them highly!
