About this vendor
MARRY ME, SWING ME, MEET ME AT METROPOLIST
Metropolist is housed in the historic Ederer Building on 1st Avenue South. Built in 1919, the Ederer Crane building was used to manufacture large-scale cranes for construction projects around the area. You will discover one of the cranes remains in our space and adds an industrial and urban vibe to events and parties.
Metropolist is fully customizable, making it an ideal location for a Seattle wedding, celebration or company event. Metropolist evokes the dramatic effect of an urban industrial warehouse with 14 foot walls and vaulted 25 foot ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, exposed piping overhead, warm and bright wood floors.
Elegantly urban, yet gritty and ever-changing, Metropolist is your best bet for throwing that unforgettable party, wedding, meeting or fundraiser.

We had our wedding at the Metropolist almost a week ago, and we had the most amazing time! When we had our initial tour a little over a year ago, Andi was responsive and made us feel comfortable with the options we had, and quickly shared inspiration and recommended vendors. From this initial meeting, we knew we wanted to book this venue space. Over the course of planning, she continued to remain responsive to any questions we had. Closer to the wedding, we found out our contact changed and it took some time to get a consistent contact person. Though we were initially worried that this would impact our event, everyone we had communicated with was just as responsive and helpful in our planning. In the end, we know that we made the right choice. The space was perfect for our wedding, as well was the equipment that we were able to utilize (tables, chairs, iron easel, uplights) helped complete our vision. Would definitely recommend Metropolist and their staff!
We had our wedding at the Metropolist this fall and it was our dream wedding! Andi was amazing at communicating - from when I booked the venue down to the day of, she is prompt, attentive and responsive to all questions. I planned a majority of the wedding myself, and she was extremely patient with all of my questions and offered so much consultation and support leading up. She was also available for questions the day of and all venue support she provided was seamless from the crane to the lights.
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. Metropolist lets you bring in your own vendors so you can truly make your day your own. Everything from catering to alcohol we brought in and it was perfect. It also helps save money by bringing in your own vendors so you can tailor to your budget!
Lastly, Andi is a dog lover and Metropolist allows dogs. Our sweet golden retriever was the ring bearer and it was icing on the cake for a fantastic experience.
100/10 would recommend the Metropolist and working with Andi!
The Metropolist was absolutely fantastic! We ended up having around 200 guests, which was a perfect size. We had tents set up outside (which we brought in ourselves) and had the buffet set up under the tents. It worked out absolutely perfect. I loved being able to hang a wreath from the old crane hook! Everything was fantastic, we would highly recommend having any event there!
Any questions?
We had our wedding at the Metropolist on 08.07.21 and loved working with them! Andi always responded to my emails whenever I had a question or concern. Seattle went through many COVID phases at that time, and I felt reassured that the venue was flexible and understanding. There was no event the day before ours, so Andi let us store decor and other heavy items which saved us so much time and stress the day of. Loved how the space was open to any vendors so that we could choose everything ourselves. In the end, it all came together so beautifully at this venue :)
We booked the metropolist in July of 2019 and our wedding was supposed to be Sept 2020. Seemed like a great venue my complaint was the Venue manager Andi was not very responsive even BEFORE Covid. I cannot stress how hard it is to plan a wedding from afar but the lack of communication raised some red flags for me. Then when Covid hit, I knew I needed to pull the plug on our wedding early because of the military travel ban. It took her a month to reply to me on their availability for reschedule in 2021 and by that time I already lost other dates with other vendors. She said they are not issuing refunds and can only reschedule but due to the military none of the dates she offered could work for us. I understand COVID made things difficult for everyone but taking a MONTH to reply on your 2021 availability is unacceptable. I decided I would rather lose my 2,000 then work with a vendor that did not care that my fiance literally could not attend our wedding. I hoped they would at least refund our 2nd payment and just keep the deposit but they would not refund anything. Picking a wedding date as a military bride I put A LOT of consideration into picking one. She expected me to either lose my 2k or blindly pick a date in 2021 and hope for the best which is unreasonable. I was not going to trust this vendor with the most important day of my life after being treated this way.
This was an amazing venue! Andi was great to work with, responsive to emails, and very kind & relateable. She was super helpful to answer my many questions and point me in the right direction/give me inspiration from what’s been done in that space before! The space itself is beautiful and the tables & chairs that Metropolist provide are beautiful. The lighting is a beautiful touch and we loved this space for our ceremony & reception. There is a nice space upstairs for the bridal party to relax and their kitchen area is simple and great to serve drinks from. Our caterer was Veraci Pizza and was able to cook the pizza outside and bring the food in for buffet style serving. Would highly recommend this venue with how much you’re able to do in it!

Brittany started her own event company while working part-time at Metropolist. After going full time in her own business, she was asked to take over the Management of Metropolist when there was a shift in management. It was an easy transitional as she knew many of Metro's repeat clients and vendors. Brittany has worked in the events industry for seven years, handling catering, venue management, planning, and floral design. Brittany's company, Sei Anders Events, now operates Metropolist and continues to serve event clients all over the PNW.
