About this vendor
Since the founding of Muslims for Progressive Values, we have helped hundreds of couples of diverse faith backgrounds formalize their marriage vows while incorporating the traditions of Islam.
If you are one of the many Muslims, men or women, marrying outside the faith, at MPV, we do not require conversion by the non-Muslim partner.
Today, we offer couples the chance to connect with our network of Muslim wedding officiants. Each officiant brings their own unique background and experience to engaged couples while pledging to uphold MPV's principles of inclusion.
Our officiants are based across the United States in Boston, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Washington DC and are available to travel the country when their schedule permits.

We had a really unfortunate experience with this organization. It feels very scam-like. We met with the “imam” and coordinated with him, sent in the deposit ($450!) which they said they didn’t receive because the imam asked us to Venmo him instead of the organization. After that was sorted, we heard nothing back from MPV after repeated emails. The imam always had an excuse for delays and limited interactions. Eventually we ended up going a different direction because we were a week out from our ceremony and still had no real guidance from them about our nikkah certificate, ceremony process, or anything. We asked for a refund and received a 5 paragraph essay about how disloyal we were and were charged a cancellation fee! Crazy. Happy to share more details for any couples who want to know more. I would avoid this group honestly, we ended up going to a local mosque for a simple ceremony. It wasn’t as progressive as we would have liked, but if I’d had more time I would have asked a more spiritual friend to hold a progressive and intimate ceremony for us. Save your money!
