Brian and the price was right so we signed on the dotted line.
The week before the wedding, Andy met with us to review our (extensive!) music questionnaire and put our minds at ease. I was so thrilled to get the chance to meet him ahead of time! He was also extremely patient with my groom, who was picky about which version of the hora he wanted to use.
The day of the wedding, Andy KILLED it. He was on time, everything was set up early and the golden uplighting and pretty white opaque DJ booth made the reception room come together. We had two somewhat complicated outdoor audio setups too, including a musician and microphone outside for our ceremony and speakers for our outdoor cocktail hour, and both went off without a hitch.
Once the party started, Andy didn't interject unnecessary announcements but directed the room and helped maintain flow and order with ease. He was personable and fun, and kept the dance floor going all night!! Andy gauged the crowd and started with classic tunes everyone wanted to dance to, then started playing more popular / dance music without ever devolving into a club-like atmosphere. He was also calm and laid-back when talking with me and my groom, which helped keep our nerves in check. We couldn't have asked for more!

We had a huge promenade tent outside and they strung the entire tent with bistro lights and clustered lanterns at the poles. The lighting was truly spectacular and made our event look so elegant and beautiful. We could not have imagined better for our venue and no other wedding pictures from the venue even v=came close to how beautiful it was! Brian was so much fun and was very helpful in announcing events during the wedding. We had a guitarist for the first portion of the wedding and Brian worked with him perfectly interchanging music when he took short breaks and taking over completely after dinner without a hiccup. I love how he gave us an in depth form to complete before the wedding, so all of the details were sorted (songs we wanted to play and didn't want to) as well as must haves and times. He stuck to this form perfectly and there was not one time we questioned a song choice. He was even so prepared that my "tipsy" husband asked him to play Metallica at the very end (which is not very wedding like) and it was the next song on!!
So impressed with Vivid Events I would recommend them to anyone looking to have an awesome wedding and for your guests to have a great time. Out of all the weddings I've been to, Brian was by far the best DJ!

Brian was so professional (his office showed that to us immediately) and was so responsive and helpful along the way. I'm not kidding when I say we got SO many comments, texts, emails from people saying it was the funnest wedding they had ever been to. He kept everything flowing so well, kept everyone on the dance floor, used all the playlists we gave him while also incorporating songs after reading the crowd. the first DJ and was moderately disappointed...low energy and he requested we provide playlists of all the music we wanted to be played at our wedding. We were somewhat shocked that we would need to provide all music lists rather than a few ideas/genres. After a couple months, and very close to our wedding date, we decided to ask Brian at Vivid if there was another option for a DJ at our wedding as we were not feeling comfortable with the current DJ. Brian was very helpful and quickly set up a meeting with us and another DJ who we immediately clicked with and felt comfortable with him being the MC and DJ at our wedding.
We had a great time, he was able to read the crowd, played very likeable music then switched to some more high energy/younger music for the wedding party and friends that were hanging out to the end of the night.
All in all a great experience and reasonably priced for all the services we received.

When we spoke to the client about the miscoummunication she admitted that she may have wrote the requests down in her notes but did not include the information in the online form. As long as we are provided with any requests or specific details we can absolutely ensure they will be carried out properly at the event.

Our guests were dancing the entire time, and we had some very difficult circumstances to work with but they handled it beautifully (wedding in the middle of the field, pouring rain, needed ceremony microphones in the wind/rain, needed to move the cellist inside the tent and use a microphone to project the sound into the ceremony site...) so many curve balls, and everything was SO smooth and so wonderful. They were professional, well equipped and able to work with the last minute changes we wanted like playing a specific recording of Greek folk music that we provided just hours before, adding a mother-son dance last minute and allowing my Aunt and Uncle to MC the reception. My only complaint would be that he mispronounced my husband’s name during the first dance. We weren't surprised because it happens A LOT and Brian got it right after the best man spoke with him. My husband was also a little disappointed that a couple of his special request songs weren't played but personally, I think it was the right call…:O Overall I was very satisfied. They provided custom play and do not play lists, were reasonably priced and played a good mix of music that got people out on the dance floor including some people we NEVER expect to see too! In my books that's what really makes a good DJ :)

with pictures towards the very end of the evening. About 10-15 photos were not able to make it into the album and had we know the very large head count for the evening we would have suggested the client provide us with a custom larger scrap book as we always purchase the largest one that is available via retail.

There was one point when we didn't love a song that was playing and asked him to stick with the more upbeat songs, and he was extremely responsive, making the change quickly but smoothly (also it was partially my fault for forgetting to indicate that we didn't want slow songs). I gave a really long list of potential songs, more than I think he could've played in the time frame, and he did a fantastic job of reading the crowd and determining which ones everyone would respond best to. And the cost was so reasonable that I was actually nervous beforehand, it seemed too good to be true! I would definitely recommend Brian to anyone, I wouldn't change a thing about his performance at our wedding.

We had put together a play list that took us months to do and Brian did not even play the list until about an hour after dinner ended. Instead, he chose the music and many guests came up to me and asked to please have the DJ change the music as it was horrible. Brian also missed a slow song that I put on the list , which was very important to me and it was never played at all that night. I will say that Brian did a good job at putting together the DVD presentation that we had displayed that night. ted from this wedding on our website, I would say the pictures speak for themselves that people were up and dancing and enjoying themselves. It also speaks for itself when the bride asked us to play after we were scheduled to stop because everyone was having such a great time. Out of the 42 songs the bride requested this one song unfortunately was played while the bride was not in the room. We always encourage that special songs be noted that way we can ensure the song is played in the presence of the couple. It is upsetting to hear that a bride was not happy with our services which ultimately means we failed. Our number one priority is to make sure the couple is happy on there big day. We just hope that you take into consideration our many reviews that contradict what your reading on this one review.

Everything was laid out and organized ready for the big day when last minute we had to make some changes. Brian did a fantastic job accommodating these changes. Our guests raved about the music, it wasn't too loud, our guests were able to request songs & didn't play any song I didn't want to hear!
Overall the experience was wonderful, we will definitely recommend Brian & Vivid Events and use them in the future.

Brian from Vivid Events did a great job at our wedding. He played music for both our ceremony and reception. He played the songs we wanted and added a couple good songs he though people would like. He also did a great job with the announcements...
