Who would have thought that a jewelry store in Beverly Hills could be so reasonable? XIV Karats was recommended by a friend. They have everything from inexpensive gifts up to million dollar diamonds. They are busy, and will often jump back a...nd forth between customers, but they are very helpful and will give you a great deal. We had my wife's engagement ring (originally a plain Tiffany diamond solitaire in white gold) redone in platinum with channel mount round pave stones and a cathedral head with small side stones. The quote was reasonable but it actually came out to be less than was quoted. We also got plain bands for both of us (2mm platinum for her, 6mm white gold for me). They were unbelievably reasonable and they engraved them for free. I have to say that I don't think anyone in the LA area should go ANYWHERE else.
