In Downtown Raleigh, you'll find the cocktail bar and private club The Haymaker. Within The Haymaker, you can host private events for up to 48 people seated and 90 for a cocktail party. The venue does not serve food or have an on-site kitchen, so you will have to outsource catering. However, it does have delicious drinks and a stunning, vibrant interior. Two six-foot tables, 10 to 14 chairs and two couches can be provided for your event, and you can make requests for special drinks or custom menus at least 14 days in advance of the event.
The Glass Box
The Glass Box is a Best of Weddings winner and a highly rated, unique space for special events in Raleigh. Located on the fifth floor of the Carolina Trust Building, the light and airy suite is available for get-togethers such as baby showers, birthday parties, rehearsal dinners and more Monday through Thursday (with limited weekend availability based on wedding bookings). Highlights of the space include floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors and a private balcony, and it can be the perfect blank canvas for your event. Glass Box rentals accommodate up to 30 guests comfortably for a seated reception and include tables, chairs and access to a pantry.

North Ridge Country Club
North Ridge Country Club doubles as a lush event and wedding venue in North Raleigh. The establishment dates back to 1967. Today, it hosts celebrations, including rehearsal dinners, for groups of all sizes. The five on-site event rooms are the Ballroom, the Garden Room, the Oaks Room, the Lakes Room and the Ridge. With the capacity to host hundreds of people, the Ballroom is appropriate for full-scale wedding receptions. For an event like a rehearsal dinner, the Garden Room caps out at 50 and is highlighted by a built-in bar, a parlor entrance, floor-to-ceiling windows and a large crystal chandelier. The Oaks and Lakes Rooms both hold up to 25, or they can be combined. The Ridge can accommodate groups of up to 70, and it boasts an attached lounge with a piano, a fireplace, a mahogany bar and a covered terrace.
The Hibiscus Event Space
The Hibiscus Event Space is a modern-upscale venue hosting corporate events, social events and weddings. Amenities are endless here—ample parking, assorted tables, cleaning, sanitation, full decor service, rentals, an in-house caterer, a kitchen and a sound system are just some of the inclusions. What's more, available add-ons include drapes, backdrops, an easel, monogram projection, a podium, a red carpet, uplighting and more. The event space is stocked with tablecloths, napkins, chair covers and table skirts in a variety of fabrics and colors. Venue pricing for a weeknight, excluding Fridays, is $2,800. For a Friday evening event, the price increases to $3,000.
Caffe Luna
Caffe Luna sums up its offering best—"Italian cuisine with a Tuscan flair located in the heart of Downtown Raleigh." The beloved restaurant has three private dining rooms: the VIP room (up to 26 guests), the Palm room (up to 50 guests) and the Tuscan room (up to 50 guests). For a larger rehearsal dinner, the Palm and Tuscan rooms can be combined to seat up to 100 guests. For $52 per person, you, your spouse-to-be and your guests will be served a four-course meal consisting of family-style appetizers, salad, an entree and dessert. Your three-hour event will also have Italian wine, imported and domestic beer and soft drinks; complimentary ivory table linens and black linen napkins are also available.

Sitti means "grandmother" in Lebanese, and the Downtown Raleigh restaurant boasting the name is a tribute to "the grandmothers who were caretakers and teachers of the Lebanese culture, faith and food." On the menu at the establishment are mezze, entrees and house-baked flatbreads, as well as Lebanese liquors, wine and beer. For a rehearsal dinner, Sitti has two popular locations. First, the Jiddi Space and Courtyard, tucked behind the restaurant, can seat between 20 and 140; it features market lighting, a full bar, a projector and lounge seating. Second, the downstairs private dining room, seating 10 to 50 guests comfortably, is a more private space. It offers various table configurations, bar setups and buffet options.
The Merrimon-Wynne House
The Merrimon-Wynne House is great for couples looking to throw their rehearsal dinner at a historic venue with lots of character. The house was built in 1876 by Augustus S. Merrimon, a chief justice for the North Carolina Supreme Court. Today, it sits at the corner of Blount and Polk streets, the birthplace of agricultural educator and civic leader Dr. Jane McKimmon. The Architect Bar & Social House
The Architect Bar & Social House serves up craft beer and specialty cocktails in a Downtown Raleigh facility dating back to the 1920s. Highlights of the cool space include brick walls, a bookcase-hidden speakeasy, large windows and a skylight in the shape of an arrow. The Architect has hosted all sorts of parties and wedding events, and your rehearsal dinner could be next. The in-house mixologist can tailor beverages specifically for your pre-wedding celebration. Young Hearts Distilling
Young Hearts Distilling is Downtown Raleigh's first distillery and restaurant—and an aptly named place at which to host your rehearsal dinner. Here, there are four event spaces: the main floor, the mezzanine, the upstairs bar and the patio. Highlights of the main floor include six booths, 15 barstools, a full bar with 16 taps, three restrooms and a TV. Second Empire Restaurant and Tavern
Second Empire lives within Raleigh's Dodd-Hinsdale House, a historic Second Empire Victorian property owned by Mayor William H. Dodd in the late nineteenth century and then colonel John W. Hinsdale and his descendants in the twentieth century. In 1997, the home officially became a restaurant—with the opening of Second Empire. As noted on its website, "The structure retains its original exterior, heart pine flooring, masonry walls, doors and windows." The self-described "design-forward" hotel, located next to North Carolina State University, boasts intimate spaces for wedding events—rehearsal dinners, bridal parties, day-after brunches and more—and a professional sales team to help you bring your gathering to life. On the premises are Aloft's W XYZ Bar, which can host a reception for up to 30, and Gonza Tacos y Tequila.
