So happy we found Margo and David on Facebook. I contacted them, asked questions and hired them to do our wedding at Oak Island in October 2020, yes during a pandemic and a hurricane hitting right where the wedding was to be a month before. This caused some last minute rushing around at no fault of theirs and they were so helpful and accommodating to try to ease the stress happening on my part. But it all ended up being a beautiful ceremony on the beach and gorgeous pictures. They helped make my dream come true of being married on the beach... thank you. Margo and David were awesome and very sweet.

Margo & David are AMAZING! They led us through every step of our wedding planning from start to finish. Then, when COVID-19 struck, they stepped right back in with Plan B. Our wedding wasn't what we'd originally planned but thanks to Margo & David, it was the beautiful, meaningful, and memorable event we'd hoped for. We were in awe of their many talents, ideas, and professionalism. They were incredibly thorough and there was never a question they couldn't answer...all the way through getting our marriage certificate AFTER the wedding. Margo was also our photographer and did a stunning job of capturing our special day. "Beachpeople" is also VERY reasonably priced and you can feel that they truly care. It wasn't about money. It was about making our dream wedding come true. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

My wedding day was AMAZING! David and Margo made our special day feel magical. It almost didn't seem real. The ceremony was performed in a professional manner and the pictures afterward were also professional. Margo was able to take some great pictures of us and our two boys ( one who doesn't like to take pictures). They are AWESOME people. I am so glad that I found Beachpeople Weddings to perform our ceremony and take pictures our special moments.

What a day!! With the whole corona virus going around and cold and windy at the beach, spotty rain. Margo and David came thru to make our day very special. The maintained professionalism during everything and was understanding with getting people’s pictures who couldn’t stand much longer quickly . And also understood everyone freezing so worked quickly to get every photo set done of each family groupings etc. During the whole planning several months before all questions were answered and had a few great phone calls. Also responded promptly to any emails I sent. Despite all the issues with weather and stuff all our guests couldn’t say anything better about Margo and David. Everyone agreed it was a beautiful wedding and. Oils to of asked for anyone better to perform our ceremony. The sand that was put in the glass heart means so much to my husband. My best man actually had it for a few days and my husband was stressing about it and everyday for the boat few days has been constantly asking about it and make sure we get it ...which we got back in our possession this morning lol. Anyways sorry for the ramble, and thank you soooooo much Margo and David for our wonderful wedding!!!! Can’t wait to see all the pictures! 😁😁😁

For various reasons we planned a last minute beach wedding in Emerald Isle, North Carolina. I’m so happy we hired Beachpeople Weddings to help us put together such a memorable day for my son and his bride. David and Margo worked with the couple, offering customizations and suggestions to make it a truly personal ceremony. They helped with every aspect of the ceremony with advice on things we hadn’t even thought of when planning an outdoor event. Margo Sears hosted our wedding at Ocean Isle Beach. It was simple and loving, just as we asked. We spoke with Margo several days before the wedding and she walked us through every step to make sure she knew exactly what we were expecting and also let us know exactly what to expect from her. It was amazing. You would have thought she had known us forever. And as nervous as my wife and I were, she soothed, comforted, and eased us right through our nuptials. As a photographer herself, she also helped our son get the best pictures of the wedding as possible. I highly recommend Margo. She was absolutely sensitive to all of our needs. As a same-sex couple, we were nervous that someone might be a little awkward with marrying us . But she was not at all and everything went off without a hitch.

Margo and David were so wonderful from start to finish! What a fun couple! They are very organized with a 30 day out phone call to go over all the details of our big day, thorough in their explanations, and just a blast to be around. They made us feel so comfortable. We can't say enough about these two. Our pictures (the ones we've seen) have been stunning in every way! Thank you Margo and David for making our day so very special.

Where to start, David and Margo have been nothing short of amazing throughout our experience with them. They are very down to earth and they truly got to know my husband and i which i think really added to the ceremony in general! Margo was amazing with giving advice and tips for the photography, and for providing recommendations on restaurants and vendors in the area! David was incredible during the ceremony, he truly was. At the beginning my husband and i were both a bit nervous but David totally eased our nerves and we were laughing throughout the ceremony. They had so many different options to choose from as well for wording, and helped us with Finding what fit for us :) We just saw a sneak peak of some of our photographs and we are so happy with them. Margo is an incredible photographer and the pictures we have seen so far are beautiful. I recommend them highly!

Margo and David are truly the kindest people I have met. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was perfect. They arrived an hour early to prepare the beach for our ceremony ( a heart in the sand with shells) it looked amazing. They stayed on top of the weather for the day to assure we would not get caught in one of those random beach thunderstorms. They were so easy to communicate with and put me and my husband at ease. If you are looking for elegant yet not over the top with pricing they are your go to people. An officiant and photographer in one package!!(YESSS) I highly recommend them for your wedding needs.

Margo and David were on time, and very pleasant to deal throughout the process of our wedding. However, we had a same sex marriage and David needed to practice because he was adding parts in our wedding that we did not agree to and messed the main part up and said “Mr. and Mrs.” When we stressed to them how important this part was to us. We discussed during our phone conference that we did not want our guest to be engaged in the ceremony and we most definitely said no however, when we shared our experience Margo responded very offensive and rude not even genuinely caring about the fact all of our videos had Mr. and Mrs. In it for a same sex marriage. Her response really put a negative outlook on our wedding day and their company because she really showed her character which was very sarcastic. We understand people are not perfect and David did apologize right after but that only put more attention towards the mistake when he could have apologized privately— Margo responded to my feedback like I was trying to sabotage their company but I was only providing feedback so the same mistake won’t happen to no one else and in hopes they would prepare better next time. Margo also mentioned that I took it to social media for healing when that was not my intent. For the experience we had and the disrespectful response we received back we will not consider recommending them to anyone in the future.

Working with Beachpeople Weddings was fantastic! Margo & David made sure everything was perfect for our special day. The photos are phenomenal and the ceremony was exactly what we wanted. If you are looking to have a stress-free, hassle-free beach wedding, I highly recommend contacting them right away. I changed my venue location the week of the wedding after finding a much prettier location once I was on the island. Margo was so helpful with information surrounding required permits for the new location. Thankfully we found a part that required none! We also had some weather issues shortly before the ceremony was to take place. Again, Margo & David took care of getting our guests under cover until the rain passed all while keeping me calm while awaiting my debut. I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful couple and their services. It was a true blessing to have them handle everything on my big day. Margo & David made our wedding day amazing ! We had a little delay due to late wedding party but they were extremely patient & Margo helped calm my nerves by reassuring that everything would be just fine. & it was! My wedding was back in January in Sunset Beach and I absolutely loved every moment of it and working with Margo and David! From our phone consultation to our post-wedding photos and local recommendations, they were amazing. It really is true, no matter what, things will go a little crazy on the big day. Margo & David were so flexible and awesome that you would've never known how crazy things got. Even though our ceremony was very small with just family, it felt so big and special for us. Everyone loved the little touches like the gift shells for our parents, the sand ceremony and stone toss that we did. Then Margo was so patient and wonderful with my sister-in-laws, giving them some expert tips on getting a perfect shot from their phone cameras while she was taking our post-wedding photos. Absolutely loved my Beach Wedding. We had unique Oceanic vows ,everyone was wowwed by David blowing the Triton horn. Margo was always there if I had questions, very easy to work with. Definitely would encourage anyone to have a beach wedding with Margo and David .

I have met MANY photographer's in my lifetime, and Margo is completely hands down the VERY best and sweet photographer. Dave and Margo were absolutely amazing! My husband and I were planning a destination wedding and I was terrified trying to find someone out of state that would do what we wanted. I contacted many vendors and something just felt off with all of them. I contacted Margo and she was quick to respond and quick to ease all my uncertainty. Throughout the entire process she helped me answer questions and gave suggestions to aid the planning process. Step by step they helped us choose vows and plan the entire ceremony. I wish I could give Margo & David 10 STARS! They are amazing in every way. When my hubby and I decided to renew our vows I went on a search for the perfect ceremony! I had contacted a few companies not only were they to stuffy for my taste but their prices were outrageous! Then I emailed BeachWedding People and boom Margo was right there answering any questions I had and throwing back a few more to think about! I'm not quite sure how Margo does it but boy she IS conscientious. She is on the BEST!!!!! and a bit of a saint with all the back and forth I did :) My hubby was a little leery of renewing our vows but after Margo & David, he IS a fan. He said he had THE BEST time of his life! We loved everything the Sand Heart Art, the horn, the Flute serenade ( I highly recommend!)David rocks the flute! We cherish our heart with the sand we both helped getting in, the stone toss! They went above and beyond anything I could have imagined!!!! It was just PERFECT! We wouldn't have changed a thing!!!!! Planning a wedding from a distance caused me quite a bit of anxiety, but Margo and David squelched all of my anxiety about the process. Through our conference calls, each and every detail of our ceremony was discussed and planned, sometimes through lots of laughter. Their kindness and ease made the entire process of planning from a distance an absolute joy! Fast forward to the wedding day itself....Completely EXCEEDED my expectations!! Our fun, inclusive ceremony for both of our respective children and our families was a blast!! This ceremony was not simply joining a couple; we were blending and honoring both of our families. Our ceremony encapsulated that LOVE! Our photos from Margo were unique, silly, beautiful and fun. Margo and David you are a blessing to our family. Thank you for co-creating our Beautiful Day!

Hiring this photographer for my beach wedding photos was indeed the worst decision I’ve ever made. What started as a warm and friendly experience, turned into an absolute nightmare for our family. The session also included my husband, our 8-year-old daughter and my mom. Sometime after the photo session, the photographer informed me that preview photos were available on their facebook page. We were not happy with these pictures, and I politely asked her if she could take them down. The photos were unflattering and lower quality than expected (considering we purchased the enhancement package). She apologized and did so. Sometime later, I received the all of the photos on a flash drive which we were satisfied with about 20 out of the 100. The photographer emailed me and told me she took my rejection very personal, and it upset her a great deal because she worked hard and I hurt her feelings. In her email, she brought up her religious beliefs and even went as far to criticize my relationship with my 8-year-old, saying that she loved my daughter and told me to be careful how I reject her or say negative to her as time goes by. In my opinion, her response was unprofessional, tasteless and disrespectful. I have shared my experience on several review sites, and she has disputed or reported all of them. I’ve had to redo the majority of all the reviews. At this point, we are discussing legal options as we were not going to promote this business after such an awful experience and treatment. Please Be Aware.

My husband and I got married in May and we used David and Margo Sears for our wedding officiant and photographer. We were recommended to them by the establishment we booked for our wedding at Sunset Beach. It was blind faith, but we were beyond thrilled with the outcome! First of all, David and Margo aren’t just professionals, they are also very personable people. That meant a lot to my husband and I because our wedding consisted of he and I alone. We were worried it would feel awkward as our only 2 attendees would be strangers. Not at all! David and Margo are great at what they do and they’re the kind of people you instantly feel comfortable with. We had our wedding performed on the beach. It was a wonderful ceremony and Margo took stunning pictures! I even had a co-worker tell me she never stops and looks at wedding photos on social media because they’re always so dull, but she couldn’t stop looking at our album because the pictures were so uniquely beautiful! And she’s right. Margo knows how to capture a picture perfectly. David and Margo even came back to the Inn with us afterwards, took pictures of us cutting the cake and celebrated with us by indulging in a piece. It was really nice. We opted for the honeymoon basket and we're glad we did! The wine and wine glasses she picked to go in our basket matched our taste perfectly, and the chocolates were delicious! She even included seashells in our basket that we searched for but couldn't find during our many mornings of shell hunting. It included other personalized gifts that we will hang in our home and treasure forever. David made our ceremony fun, relaxed, and everything we wanted. There were 6 adults at our wedding ceremony and not a dry eye among any of us. The children and furbabies also had a great time. It was beautiful! They helped us find the perfect spot on the beach to hold our ceremony. David's sand art and the ocean waves were all the decor we needed for a beautiful photographic ceremony. Any issue we ran into, Margo was quick to help resolve. She even got our little ringbearer who likes to make funny faces in every picture to happily agree to put on his best smile for the photos. We wanted to include our daughter and family in our wedding and sand ceremony. David made that happen and they have never felt more loved or appreciated! Margo and David impressed them as much as they did us. We couldn't be more thankful to Margo and David for every thoughtful, beautiful detail they put in to make our wedding day the special day we dreamed of! We could not be happier with the services provided by BeachPeople Weddings! We were planning a destination wedding in Ocean Isle Beach so we had to do most of our vendor research online. Their website was so informative and genuine and reviews were superb. They were prompt to answer questions. We met them for ice cream on our first trip to OIB for wedding planning. It was a no brainer for sure...we found the perfect officiant and photographer! The planning process was so well organized and they gave us so many great suggestions to help us tailor the ceremony of our dreams. Highly recommend the sand ceremony (great keepsake) and the blowing of the triton shell(so unique). David was our officiant and Margo our photographer. They each knocked it out of the park!! Oh how I adore David and Margo! I booked them almost a year out because my now husband and I found them and found their style so unique and exactly what we wanted for our beach wedding! They were in constant communication throughout the year but the phone conference was my favorite part. They are so friendly, loving, and humorous. I had bought my own sand ceremony stuff but opted to go with the one they provide because it was more unique and sentimental. The triton horn was fantastic and all of our guests, and the beach goers, loved it! I wish I hadn't have booked my photographer prior to booking for the officiant because Margo's photography is absolutely gorgeous and the only regret I have from my wedding day is that I didn't have Margo do my photography. If I could do it over again that is the only thing I would change. The ceremony was beautiful and tailored exactly to how we wanted it to be. If you're getting married on the beach please, please, please have David and Margo for your officiant and photography needs! Wonderful advice, wonderful encouragements, and the services they provide is above and beyond anything I could have expected. Having BeachPeopleWeddings involved in our wedding plans was like having two angels sent from heaven helping us all along the way! We had chosen my parents wedding anniversary as our date which disregarded any form of weather changes that we may have come up against and we did in fact come up against them on a beach that rarely has a storm . Margo and David were with us through it all making the best of it anyway and with the most beautiful photos possible in light of blustering winds and rain. Of course they had given us an option of another day, another time, another beach even but we were determined on our date and on our beach for sentimental reasons. The beach people wedding officiant and photographer David and Margot sears went above and beyond our expectations. They were friendly yet professional. We got excellent pictures taken that are priceless. Our ceremony was perfect. And it all was planned in one week!!!! They even helped us find a hairstylist and an Arbor to rent.

The Sears' made a wonderful team. Together we put together a beautiful ceremony on the beach. We had to start late because of our temperamental 3 year old throwing a fit and they were very patient. The seashell heart was cute and I was really happy to be able to rent their PA for the ceremony. Margo had a great personality and didn't miss a beat when she was told that I failed to put together a list for the pictures I wanted. I tried to have it all together put that one fell through the cracks. We just got a preview of 50 pictures and they were beautiful; we can't wait to see the rest. We are so pleased with the job that they did. Their packages were all great deals and with technology what it is today (everyone thinks they're a photographer), we only really needed a photographer for the ceremony and they were EXTREMELY affordable and did high quality work. 5 stars for sure!

On our big day, rain was in the forecast, but we kept our fingers crossed for sunshine. Thankfully, just before the ceremony began, the clouds gave way to a blue and sunny sky. Margo captured moments in her photography that I will return to frequently for the rest of my life. With David & Margo's help, we were able to have a wonderful, small ceremony and totally stellar photographs. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone wanting to be married on the beach!

Margo and David were great to work with and very accommodating to our special requests. They took time to have a detailed conference call to ensure everything was exactly the way we wanted it. I would also recommend Margo for photography. She did wonderful work and was very creative. She also took care of ordering the perfect bouquet for me. Would highly recommend them!

Margo & David are awesome!! a big help to us in so many way 1st just to speak with them both over phone I knew I had chosen the right couple they helped with a list of vendors, beaches, vows, the difference between Nc & Sc certificates & restrictions just from their tips I didn't need a planner and my wedding was exactly how I imagine oh and Margo photography is out of this world gorgeous.. We hired David & Margo for our destination wedding in North Topsail based off their reviews and ratings and we are so glad we did! They did a wonderful job getting us prepared from writing the ceremony & vows to ordering flowers to answering my many questions even with the many miles that seperated us! When the big day came a cold front had rolled in and we had lots of wind, rain, and very cold temperatures. But David & Margo worked with us to watch the radar and we were able to have the ceremony without getting rained on. Despite the cold and wind, everyone talked about what a beautiful and touching ceremony it was! People who weren't at the ceremony thought it was a perfect day to have a tropical beach wedding when they saw our photos! Margo was able to capture all the best moments and even made it seem like it wasn't that cold. Due to the rain and temperature we had to do most of our pictures at the beach house instead of the beach, but she made the most of it and was able to get us great pictures anyway! They are both very down to earth and so easy to work with. We are so glad we found David & Margo to do our wedding and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone wanting to do a beautiful beach wedding!

David and Margo Sears are amazing!! They both made us feel very comfortable and relaxed, which enabled us to be able to really enjoy our wedding. We wanted a very simple cozy feel without taking any of the specialness away from our wedding day. They delivered flawlessly!! I highly recommend them!!!

David and Margo were the absolute best! They ensured that our wedding was simply perfect! They guided us through the process, gently nudging us appropriately. Their personalities fit us and our nuptials, providing us exactly the ceremony we desired. They were more than just our officiants, they became our friends. We contacted Beachpeople Weddings (David and Margo) on 12/28/16 to get more info on their services for our wedding on 2/11/17. Being that it was a little less then two months away we were very worried it would not be possible or we would have to cut corners to make it happen. From the moment we received our first email back from David and Margo we knew our dreams could come true. That very first email they were very straight forward with the prices (great prices!) and services they offered. They gave us suggestions for the services they did not offer such as arbor/arch, chairs, and tables etc. We were also given suggestions on how to do hair or what to wear in case it was cold or windy. These were things we did not think about since we do not live on or are at the beach often during the winter months. The phone appointment was where we all went over everything for the big day and when we ended that conversation my husband and I looked at each other and just smiled. David and Margo made things so easy and as stress free as possible. Margo assisted my husband and I in customizing our vows (something we both had dreaded). She made it a breeze! The day of the wedding they arrived and Margo started capturing precious pictures and David set up the location according to what we wanted. The ceremony was exactly how we wanted it to be beautiful and relaxed. David played his flute which was wonderful! We did the sand ceremony which included our four kids (other places we looked at would not accommodate this many children in the sand ceremony). It was a lot of fun for the kids and meaningful to us. David spoke slowly and was patient with my husband who froze up on two occasions, it made for a good laugh! At the end we wanted David to blow his shell horn, everyone thought that was neat. He also played a little on his flute for us to have our first dance right there on the beach. Meanwhile all this was going on Margo was capturing some AMAZING pictures and we had no idea. She got some pictures we wouldn't have thought possible because we did not once see her actually taking them. When we saw the pictures I told my family "I will never forget this day and if for any strange reason I ever did Margos pictures would tell me everything I need to know." Anyone can take a picture but it takes someone great to capture a moment where you can see and understand the story behind it. That's what Margo did, every picture was taken so perfectly in our eyes. Getting married in North Myrtle Beach and coming from Blythewood (about 3 hours) I was so worried our wedding would be a disaster and even thought about moving it closer to home but it was the complete opposite! It was a dream come true, our dream come true and its all thanks to David and Margo! I knew from that first email they were the right people for us. I loved how they went above and beyond and even beyond that to make sure we were comfortable, confident, and almost completely stress-free going into our wedding day. It makes us want to get remarried just to experience the wonderful and friendly service again! If I could give more then five stars I would. I HIGHLY recommend Beachpeople weddings to anyone! My husband and I just wed on 11/12/2016. Margo and David were awesome to work with. Every aspect was about my husband and I. We mixed up a few ceremony scripts to personalize our own, which I loved. David was an awesome officiant and Margo was an excellent director/photographer. She gets the job done and knows what looks best. They had around 30 days, or less, notice of our wedding and they had every piece of the wedding day puzzle in place. I am so grateful for them because after the wedding, there was no doubt in my mind that my husband and I made the best decision by going with an intimate beach wedding. Hi my husband and I were married on September 25,2016. We are both beach people and naturally wanted to wed on the beach at Oak Island. I did my research to find the perfect officiants and photographers to help us on our special day. We wanted to have an intimate ceremony that included our furbaby which meant not only finding the perfect place,time and location but also someone that would be able to handle any unexpected situation that having your fourlegged baby present could arise! Margo and David with BeachpeopleWeddings were an excellent choice!!!! I contacted them online and explained what we both wanted and thought would make our day perfect for us and asked for suggestions. The response time from the first email to being on our way to the perfect day was unbelievable, not only were all request made into a reality but even better than we could have ever dreamt. We were shown examples of vows and given the opportunity to create our own or use one of the many offered by them. We made our vows through a combination of ours and theirs in which made them personal just for us. Dean and I were married at 7 am on a nearly deserted beach with a spectacular sunrise. Margo did the photography and David performed our ceremony- these are amazing people that excell in their field of work, both professionally and emotionally. I would highly recommend their services to anyone needing a little extra help making their perfect day come true., not only did we find the right choice in service but also feel we made a couple of new friends along the way💕
