which in my opinion is ridiculously impressive as I've been to many weddings and the food has not always been as great as what Cara served. Everything from the Brisket to the Jackfruit BBQ was delicious and the Mac & Cheese and Collard Greens were to die for. Had we not been so busy saying hi to our guests I'm pretty sure I'd have gone back for seconds or thirds. We also got a bar package from Blue Pitt and Cara did everything she could to get our beer selections and she got so many, I don't think I've ever been to a Wedding (outside of my own now) that had so much good craft beer. The last thing I will say is that in addition to the food being amazing and the drinks being plentiful is that the staff that Cara brought with her to cater the event were so incredibly friendly and helpful. Everyone there went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing Wedding Reception! Words truly cannot express just how grateful we are to Blue Pitt for helping us throw such a great party.

We were able to host Sunday brunch with our left overs and the food was still delicious. They even gave our dog (she attended the wedding) treats and love! We would hire them again for any event.

Especially for a couple (us) who wanted (but didn't really know how) to throw a relatively simple party that left people well fed and sore from dancing. From the deliciously crafted cocktails, to the jackfruit that left all of our vegetarian/vegan guests very happy, to Cara's staff's incredible ability to coordinate seamless transitions from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception...it was all amazing. Book Blue Pit. Or hold your wedding at their restaurant. You won't be disappointed. I'd ask for an invite, but that's rude, so feel free to just mail me some leftover BBQ instead.

They also worked with us to put together a perfect drink menu that every single guest raved about (if you've never tried their cocktails go get one right now!). They worked seamlessly to get things set up, switch over the venue after the reception, clean up, serve food, serve drinks - they are like an amazing catering army. Cara is super responsive and easy to talk to, which is so great when you're stressed during the planning process. All in all, if you're looking for something unique and high quality that is super fairly priced, I cannot recommend Blue Pit enough!

ity, so we made an appointment to talk with Cara at Blue Pit. We only met with two other companies before our visit, and knew after talking to Cara that this was our perfect fit. Cara was so down to earth and easy to bounce ideas off of for the day-of. Anytime I had a question, her response was prompt and thoughtful. We needed an extra something here? No big deal, they got us. Concerns about this? Don't worry about it, we'll figure it out. Coffee? Yep. I think the exact words used were "we've got an industrial coffee maker that can service all of Ellicott City!" This extra service added AFTER we already signed a contract, by the way. Photo booth? Oh we've got one of those... When we discussed signature cocktails (which includes a large selection of craft beer, fresh squeezed juices, and house-made syrups) we came into the restaurant to try different drinks--1) they were all ears to hear what we wanted most and 2) the cocktails were unique and freaking DELICIOUS. For our day-of, the staff was so much fun and super friendly. There were two bartenders to take care of all of our guests who were wonderful. And I've lost count of how many people commented on how amazing the food and drinks were after the wedding (I believe the biggest raves were about the brisket, vinegar-style coleslaw, and home-made sauces). Not to mention, one of the personal drink selections we made were to have a few bottles of Jameson for the select guests (i.e. US) and I personally love Guinness. So at the end of the night, they packed up the leftover Jameson and a 6-pack of Guinness with all of our wedding things! It was a completely unnecessary gesture that made us smile ear to ear when we saw it the next day. Did I mention, PICK THEM :))
