Just wrapped our perfect wedding with Alexa and Audrey at our side. From the minute we saw Alexa’s work, we knew she was the one for us. Alexa and Audrey were so lovely and easy going on the day. It perfectly set the tone for our irreverent, playful wedding!

From the very beginning of our search for a photographer to after we received our wedding photos, working with Bright Bird Photography was a dream. Alexa was always right to the point, offering her professional opinion but never waving from being open to our wants and needs. She fully understood that we were planning from afar and helped us through the entire process, answering my never-ending questions with calm insight. Alexa has the most joyous personality and there is no denying her passion and love for her art. Prior to hiring any vendors we needed to make sure that they were LGBT friendly and it is simple to say that Alexa was open, loving, and unphased. We received our photos only 2 weeks after the wedding, and they are absolutely stunning. We are over the moon. She captured the essence of our relationship as well as of us as individuals. Working with Bright Bird Photography was honestly one of the factors that made our day as special as it was. She was a true asset to our wedding and her personality just added to the atmosphere! Hands down, she will be our go-to for any other life events!

Alexa is wonderful! I found her for my wedding online and even through just phone calls and emails leading up to our big day she was very on top of it, knowledgeable, and could put me quickly at ease because I could tell that she had done a lot of weddings! The day of the wedding she was timely and knew the schedule for the whole day! I loved how she took photos during our wedding day, meaning she was never a distraction during the ceremony and reception to our guest. (I loved that because we have been to so many weddings when all I could focus on, as a guest, the photographers running up and down the isles of the ceremony). We got our photos about two weeks after our wedding and she sent us hundreds! Wow we are so very happy, they are so beautiful!! Alexa captured moments I didn't even think of capturing! The angels and lighting and set up of the photos are so beautiful! She truly knows photography the way the photos turned out! She is defiantly not someone who just picked up a camera and shoots weddings as a hobby, but Alexa KNOWS her camera and knows lighting and how to shoot weddings! I loved her personality during our wedding and she was even kind enough to wipe my wet bouquet on her dress rather than me getting my wedding dress wet! She is such a kind woman and I knew instantly she knew what she was doing and I never once had to worry about where she was or if she got that picture. She was always one step ahead of me, taking photos. Wedding photos are always so cherished and I'm so happy we had Alexa take ours because she truly did capture our wedding day better than I could even had imagined!!

Overall, we had a great experience with Alexa/Brightbird. She did our engagement photos in Los Angeles and traveled to NorCal to do our wedding. She was willing to hop in the car with us and take a windy, country road to a forest to do some couples shots in a beautiful grove of redwood trees. Alexa has a great eye, made the groom feel at ease (he does NOT like taking photos), and captured all our requests for various group pics with family and bridal party prior to the wedding. She hustled and was never NOT taking photos during the 9-ish hours she spend with us that day. She even caught a few pics of a black bear we saw on our above mentioned drive to the redwoods. She was ready to capture any and all action. She moved about our ceremony site quietly and effortless - I didn't notice her at all and was so pleased to find shots from many different angles. We are very pleased with the overall product of our photos, the turn around time (So quick! Two weeks!) and Alexa's generally quick replies to emails. She is fun, pleasant and personable. Her easy going demeanor was a lovely, calming presence in the hectic, madness of a busy wedding day. She got lots of great candid shots during cocktails and reception. We were excited to print many of these out and include in our thank you notes to family and friends, which our guests really loved receiving. One friend said the photo of her with her two small sons and husband will be her Christmas card photo this year, she liked it so much. I would definitely recommend her to friends looking for engagement, wedding, family, etc. photography here in CA or anywhere with an interesting venue or setting. She really takes advantage and maximizes what she has to work with, especially unpredictable elements of shooting out-of-doors. The redwoods can be kind of dark and full of shadows and she successfully captured stunning images that showed the true beauty of the environs.

We had such a great experience with Alexa and her assistant Audrey. From the moment we talked I had full confidence that Alexa would deliver us our dream photos. She understood our style and priorities from the get go and knew exactly how to make us feel comfortable the entire time. Alexa was confident and professional and does beautiful work. Alexa was so great. She's professional and very nice. I couldn't have asked for a better experienced photographer. She captured all the moment beautifully. She made me feel very comfortable and very quick with her service. Everyone in my family and friends love all the photos. I feel like I was featured in some bridal magazine. Alexa is AHHHH-MAZING!!!! I cannot recommend her enough! She deserves a million stars! We got married in March, so this review is looooong overdue. First of all, I had a good feeling about Alexa from the get go. She was very professional and knew all the right questions to ask me about my big day that I didn't event think of. I found Alexa on Thumbtack (freelance website). I really wanted a photographer who took a lot of candid shots. Her website is stunning!!! Her picture are absolutely GORGEOUS! I thought that there would be no way she is going to be within my budget. Her prices were very reasonable. The day of the wedding, she brought another photographer in order to ensure there were plenty of candid shots. They were both so nice and made my husband and I feel so comfortable. We actually received our photos a few days after our wedding!!! I have never heard of that! I have friends who still waiting on photos 6 months later. I cried looking through all of my photos. They were all so beautiful!!!! There were so many to choose from too. TRUST ME- You will not regret hiring Alexa for your event or wedding. She is truly talented and I'm so glad we hired her!

WOW! That was my initial reaction when I viewed our wedding photos, followed by utter delight and a little shock at just how amazing they were. There aren't enough superlatives to describe how great Alexa and her work are. From our first contact up until now she has been a joy to work with. Within seconds of meeting her in person and seeing her at work we knew we had been very lucky finding her and having her shoot our day. Thanks SO much Alexa!

We had the best experience working with Bright Bird. Alexa was unbelievably talented. She captured so may amazing photos we can't even begin to choose which ones to print. Her energy was so positive and she was so kind and patient with us. We initially didn't want to spend too much time on family photos and I was not looking forward to doing them but Alexa knew how to quickly line us up and take the best photos of our family which then gave us enough time to capture our couple photos which was the most important to us. Her candid photos of us and our guests were also some of our favorites. Everyone loved the photos of themselves which made us so happy. Last but not least she captured some beautiful photos of our decor which was so awesome because we were so caught up saying hi to everyone that we didn't have time to really take in what the whole wedding looked like. Our whole experience with her was amazing.

I had been browsing wedding photographers in los angeles for a good 8 months and Alexa literally stood above the thousands of photographers out there. Her sense of art direction in her photographs are unreal. They look like they have been taken out of vogue magazine. Alexa brought along an equally talented assistant photographer to capture every detail of our wedding. Several of my engaged friends have already booked Alexa for their wedding after seeing what she captured at ours. Alexa and her team are extremely professional and amazing photographers and I highly recommend using her over any photographer in LA.

I had seen Alexa's wedding photography before I was even engaged and knew that when the day came, I had to have her shoot my wedding. I was so thrilled when the pieces fell into place, and I was able and fortunate enough to hire her. Alexa is a total professional through and through. She's upfront and honest, punctual (even when our wedding day was on daylight savings), and has the flexibility to take the lead or be collaborative, taking our suggestions and ideas for shots into consideration. Even before the wedding day I was able to tell her different ideas I had, and we were able to discuss any logistical problems that might arise, getting a better idea of what could be expected the day of. It was important to me to have as few surprises as possible on my wedding day. The images she created and the moments that were caught really tell a story. This is why I truly adore her reportage/documentary style. I've suggested her multiple times to friends and family members and will continue to do so.

I was so impressed with Alexa's energy and her way of capturing the little moments throughout the wedding. She was totally unobtrusive, and at the same time she didn't miss a thing... She had a beautiful calmness about her, and her images just speak for themselves. They are gorgeous!

Alexa is amazing. One of the key things I wanted for my wedding was a photographer that could do both digital and real film photography. The shots that Alexa got were unbelievable. We got married in NYC and walked the Highline to the church and she was able to finagle the crowds to get great shots of me & my husband along with the wedding party. I was also on a very tight budget and Alexa let me pay in installments which was lifesaving at the time. I cannot say enough good things about Alexa- she truly is so so talented and felt like a member of the family by the end of the night...
