re than happy to apply our deposit to a new date, no questions asked. Throughout the entire planning process, our coordinator, Alex Pelyak, was always quick to respond and help out in any way. She was timely (emails and in person), extremely professional, and so positive and supportive. Both Alex and all DAC staff were a joy to work with. The level of attention to detail is unmatched, and something extremely appreciated as someone who enjoys and appreciates the details of a wedding day. Any question, concern, or issue we could think of leading up to it, they responded quickly and came up with a solution or accommodation right away. This was all a sigh of relief as someone planning from out of state. Our guests loved their experience as well. We had raving reviews from friends and family about the quality of the food, the table settings, the drinks, and the ease of transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Plus the afterglow in the bowling alley was a blast! It is very obvious that the DAC knows what they are doing when it comes to hosting weddings. I would recommend this venue again and again to any couple lucky enough to secure a date here!

n I made the decision to move to Arizona a few years ago, I made sure my dad would remain a member until I got married! As soon as my now husband and I were engaged, we reached out to the DAC to check into available dates for 2018. They had three dates left and luckily one of the dates was the day we had in mind - 11.23.2018! As we were planning our wedding while living in Arizona and had limited opportunities to travel back to Michigan, it was crucial that our vendors were accessible through phone and email during the planning process. Our Coordinator, Sarah, was a DREAM to work with. She was organized, responsive and a fellow MSU grad so we knew we were in great hands. Everything was perfectly timed and set up to our specification so there was never any confusion, stress or questions left unanswered through the entire planning process. The DAC is a breathtaking venue and we were grateful they had already set up their gorgeous gold accented Christmas tree and decor throughout the club, which added extra sparkle and shine to the windows and doors in our ceremony and reception room as this ultimately saved us a bit of money on décor and flowers. We utilized multiple floors of the club including "getting ready suites" which were well appointed with mirrors, hair & makeup stations and stocked with breakfast, lunch and beverages. We held our ceremony in the Pontchartrain Room and our Reception in the Main Dining Room, with plenty of room for our 125 guests, live band, two bars, photo booth and dance floor. The attention to detail and service provided by the staff is unparalleled. Our lead server, Philip, kept us on task throughout the evening and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable - whether it be making sure our drinks were full to turning down the AC within seconds of me commenting I was feeling warm - he was such a treat! We capped off the evening by hosting "Bowling Afterglow" in the Abbey. We had pizza and local beer served so everyone could refuel after a long night of dancing and continued the festivities with a bowling tournament. The Abbey had bowling shoes for our guests and comfy seating and a bar fort the spectators. We blocked out the hotel rooms at the club for our guests, which were comfortable and well received by those who stayed the night - they loved having access to the pool and fitness center! The next morning we had a beautiful breakfast hosted in the Stadium Club which overlooks Comerica Park - despite it being November, we had sunny days and our guests loved the view as and breakfast buffet which included both hot and cold options as well as an omelet station. My husband and I stayed a second night in the Executive Suite, which was SO luxurious, dined at the Stadium Club and had drinks and cigars that night in the Last Word Cigar Lounge following the Red Wings Game. Overall, I cannot recommend the DAC enough for anyone considering having their event in Detroit. They took all of the potential stress out of wedding planning and made the planning process as well as our wedding weekend the most memorable, carefree and magical time of our lives!

an incredible coordinator, to the point that I never for a moment felt the need to hire an additional day of coordinator. Every person, from the wait staff during dinner to the door man, were so welcoming and professional. The morning of the wedding someone on staff even called out to me from down the hall and said "are you today's bride?!" The food was incredible. We got tons of compliments on the main course options. The cake was equally magnificent (both in appearance, the pastry chef executed to the photo I provided flawlessly) and tasted wonderful! It was so convenient to not have an additional cake vendor, too. Every space we used was so great, from the rooms to get ready in in the mornings, the hotel rooms we stayed in, the cocktail hour space, the ballroom, and the abbey. We had bowling and pizza as our afterglow in the abbey, and it added a fun touch that guests were raving about. Overall, it was such a wonderful venue and I am so glad we chose it. It helped all the other details fall into place, and the DAC was a great venue to work with.

As a guest at the hotel (recommend booking the block of rooms for sure), you have full access to all the DAC facilities including the gym, pool, spa, and an amazing rooftop restaurant/cigar bar + view for photos! #3. The Staff. You will not meet a more engaging and accommodating team that will go above and beyond to meet your every need. For example, Phil, our lead server, went on our mission to find a bridesmaid's phone and got the groom back to the dance floor from the rooftop cigar bar for the last dance. #4. Finally, reserving the basement bowling alley was an excellent cap to the night. As bride and groom, we were finally able to unwind, attempt a few strikes and celebrate late into the night with our friends/fam. You cannot go wrong with the DAC!

here were a few glitches with being told one thing and then having it change at the last minute. For instance, we made sure at our initial interview that Christmas decorations would not be up for our Nov 17th wedding, and they were put up a week before. After some talking with our coordinator, they WERE taken down in most of the places we were taking pictures in. There were a few things like that, but other than the small glitches, it turned out amazing. I would highly recommended getting married here.

The food was amazing! Our dinner choices were two of the better meals I have ever had let alone what you would expect at a wedding reception. The whole evening went perfect and all our guests gushed on how impressed they were with the facilities and service. Overall, we would highly recommend the DAC for your wedding for a stress free night to remember.

The Detroit CLub truly is one of Detroit's best kept wedding secrets.;I would warn against spending alot of money on flowers and decorations. The club provides enough decoration adn ambiance. Anything added seems gauche. Let the club shine and save money on flowers and candles & decorations.
