in, large and comfy enough to gather in, and great for their wedding suite!! The reception room and cocktail room were very spacious, set up perfectly as planned, food was awesome, staff was Awesome! NO COMPLAINTS!!!! Diana Logan and her staff were awesome and easy to work with, and did everything perfectly! I feel the staff went above and beyond in terms of the reception snacks that we brought in, as they set them up, kept refilled, moved to the reception room, and bagged up leftovers for us!! They even got out all the kid activities, including laying out the Twister mat!!! The food was great, and we got so many comments about the chicken DeBurgo!! The spaciousness, the attentive staff, attention and following all details and plans, coupled with the awesome views overlooking downtown Des Moines made for a perfect cocktail hour and reception! I can't say enough great things about the hotel!!! The breakfast buffet the next morning was great with lots of options!! I so recommend this hotel!!!

the coordinator was awesome and would do anything for us! They set up all the decorations for us and even had decorations that we could use for the centerpieces if we wanted to! THE FOOD! You know how most wedding food has small portions as is bland, well NOT HERE! The food was delicious and huge portions! The day was perfect!!

o meet with us for anything last minute. Diana tried the unconventional things we asked for and was there for anything we needed. We had our reception at the Top of the Tower Ballroom and it is such an amazing value for the price! This is not the type of place where there are a bunch of hidden fees. They are upfront and honest about everything and many times, things were included in the base price that we did not expect! The new renovations are beautiful and the room was set up exactly how we imagined. The view from the top of the tower is gorgeous during the day and night. The catering here is great as well! There are so many great options! For weeks guests would tell us that this was one of the best reception dinners they have ever had! The accommodations for the Bride and Groom were amazing as well!

Horns. You never had to wait for anything, but didn't feel like a server was on your back the hold time. Stayed in the suite it was two rooms very clean. Director of Catering was so helpful and was there for any of our needs. Would strongly recommend to any one. BEST IN TOWN

ing planner was nearly impossible to get a hold of during the planning process, and took weeks to respond to emails. She would assure me that she was taking care of things and then never take care of them. She also asked me the same questions over and over. I was left scrambling around on my wedding day taking care of details that should not have been my problem. The staff on the night of my wedding were less than professional. Our photographers were more help than the hotel staff when it came to the details of the evening. We ran out of alcohol long before the end of the reception, and they tried to talk us out of buying more for our guests. We paid a lot of money for this event, and I felt they should have bent over backwards to get us anything we needed, especially when we were willing to pay for it. I would not recommend the Holiday Inn for a wedding, unless they fire everyone that worked there during mine (except the chef).

Dan- the Bartender in the Lounge on the first floor opened the bar 2 hours early and stayed open 5 hours later than their usual Sunday hours to help assist us before and after the reception. The staff all went above and beyond! The food was very good too! Perfect venue!

We had the entire top floor to ourselves and the view was gorgeous of the downtown skyline. We received a lot of compliments. The hotel provided the food and it was awesome as well!
