Rare Form Band is a wedding band based in Boston, MA. The thing about Rare Form is that there are very few songs we can’t do, and there’s nothing we won’t try. Our rhythm section is tight, the horns are crisp, and our singers wield their voices to emulate the unique styles of any songs we perform. That’s a big deal because our repertoire is so eclectic, it’s important the songs sit where they belong in terms of genre and style. Including our two lead singers, we’re a 6-piece ensemble (piano/keyboards, guitar, bass and drums) at minimum, with the option of adding a utility man (saxophone, percussion, guitar and whatever else we give him) for a 7-piece ensemble, and a trumpet player for a total of 8 members to perform at your event. Each musician has full command over their instrument and understands how it fits for any song in our band. We’re used to how each other plays and we’re sensitive to each other’s strengths. This allows us to play any song in any style from dinner to dancing to last dancing. We’ve been doing this a very long time (more than thirty years) and our thing is making people feel good on the most important days of their lives.
