I bought a pretty while lace dress from Macy's to wear for my wedding and when my groom to be saw me trying it on, his comment was, "That's just not special enough." Well, when the criticism of a wedding dress is made like that the only choice...
is to find something new and definitely special! So I went searching some more. I looked at various department stores and boutiques but couldn't find the right blend of elegance and something more. I didn't want a traditional wedding dress as our wedding would be more casual. But it wasn't Las Vegas so the gold lame numbers were definitely out. I found the perfect "lengha", a top and long skirt with shawl, at Roopam Sarees. I was hoping to find something in the colors of red or pink as those are symbollically the colors of compassion and love in Buddhism, the faith in which I was marrying. The staff at Roopam Sarees helped me find the perfect dress with gold graduating to pink and red. The gold represents the golden light of Buddha and the pink and red the symbolic colors of marriage in the faith. My groom even found the perfect Indian suit and he looked like a prince!
