and value as we selected a facility. Once we met with Najem and David we knew that we had found the perfect hosts for our reception. We immediately knew that they had the level of experience and customer service that we were seeking. They helped us plan and manage every detail as we coordinated a reception for 325 guests including a full dinner – two beer & wine bars - a band and a late-night taco bar. It would be an understatement to say that everything went perfectly. We micro-managed every detail and they were very patient with us and they took the time to educate us based upon their extensive experience. Our 325 guests tremendously enjoyed our five-hour reception/party. The food and serving of the food was excellent and the bar service for our 1,000 beers and 300 glasses of wine was fantastic. We were concerned about congestion while serving dinner and at the two bar stations. There was none. 325 is close to their limit and they executed for that number of attendees as though there were only 50 people in the room. We got five hours of videos including guest interviews in a side area they assigned away from the band as well as over 1,000 photos. The acoustics were fantastic for the band. People close to the band rocked well into the evening and non-dancing guests were able to converse comfortably away from the band. There is not a single thing that Royal Affairs could have done better! They even cut and served our cake for free. We enjoyed working with them so much that we now consider Najem and David to be friends and we will send all of our friends and family there for their events. We are already thinking about throwing our first-year anniversary party there. You will be able to conclude your search for a facility quickly after you visit Royal Affairs in person and meet with Najem and David. They are the VERY BEST!

And he will also call the bride by the wrong name (Her name is Diana, yet he still messed that up). More info below. There are TWO separate things I will be reviewing for this. If this review was about the venue and the manager/coordinator you work with, this is a 5 star review. Both David and Najim were great at helping us and accommodating us. There are amazing at their job and they truly helped us with our wedding. In their wedding package they offer, they include a DJ named Jon Stricklan. He is the reason it is not a 5 star review. If I was reviewing the DJ Jon Stricklan alone, it would be a 1 star review. He was probably one of the worst DJs/MCs you could possibly have. We met with him a couple of times before our wedding to get the itinerary scheduled and also music ideas handled. Both my wife and I were born in the 1990s and the majority of our guests are also on the younger half. Also, being Asian, our families came to America in the 1980s. HOWEVER, the DJ Jon kept wanting to play 1960s music saying "its music that everyone knows". Not fully trusting his music choices, my wife and I created a playlist of "Must Have Songs" to be played at our wedding. We did this because we did not trust his wedding song choices. Sure enough, we were right. On the day of our wedding, Jon Stricklan from Fresh Spin Entertainment, kept playing some weird songs that my wife and I never wanted on our playlist. We had created a specific playlist specifically for this reason and we told him MANY times to stick to our Must Have Songs and also our playlist if those songs run out. He started playing weird elevator music, Egyptian dance music, etc. So during the wedding, we told our bridal party to talk to him and to please stick to our playlist. He seemed offended by this and gave sass to our bridal party. About 20 minutes later, he AGAIN played music that was definitely not to our taste. So we told him again to stick to our playlist, and his response was "No, no one will dance to those songs." WHAT TYPE OF DJ DOES NOT LISTEN TO THE BRIDE/GROOM??! That was despicable. I have never once heard of a DJ denying a bride/groom's song requests. Ever. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to problems with Jon Stricklan from Fresh Spin Entertainment. When it was time for our first dance song, my wife and I were prepared for the entire song. All 3 and a half minutes of it because we choreographed every second of it. Out of nowhere, Jon started the song at around the 30 second mark. Without any warning to us or even telling us he would crop the song. Because of this, it ruined our choreography and ruined our first dance because my wife and I were so frazzled. I have never once heard of a DJ cutting someone's first dance song without ever telling them that. Jon also said my wife's name wrong during the introductions. Her name is Diana. Jon is an American. I do not know how he can mess that up. How can a MC mess up the BRIDE'S name on her wedding day??!

this wedding from Indianapolis where we live and the packages made it very easy if you are hands off. Royal Affairs will take care of everything. We just met 2 times before the wedding and it all went off without a hitch. Would recommend this venue to others. Food was terrific, DJ provided really engaged our families and friends, and the cakes provided were amazing too. Well worth it if you have an easy-going approach.

As our big day was approaching, he assured me that everything would be fine and that I had nothing to worry about. He really cares about the satisfaction of his customers. Our family and friends thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful setting, delicious food such as appetizers (stuffed mushrooms and chicken wraps), also the dinner (from their catering company), and overall great service from the wait staff. I was on cloud 9 my wedding night and do not remember some details or even the flow of the night but from the videos that are trickling in and glowing feedback from our guests, my husband and I couldn't be happier for what we paid out of pocket. The venue was beautiful! David, thank you again for your outstanding efforts from the beginning to the end!! It was truly a memorable weekend for all of us and we appreciate your service. -The Joneses

because they provide you a vendor list, and they are very accommodating with their packages. It makes it less stressful with all of the vendors provided in a package at the venue. This venue is very affordable (considering the wedding industry) and so beautiful!!! You have got to check it out. FYI: If you do choose this venue I do not recommend the bakery "Candy Haven" on the vendor's list. They completely ruined my wedding cake on the day of my wedding.

He was willing to do anything to accommodate me and customize packages for me. The venue was GORGEOUS with stunning ballroom ceilings and chandeliers. The space was nice and large with room for a dance floor and two elegant looking bars on either side of the ballroom. I would recommend this place to anyone for their wedding! The packages are great because they customize the catering menu just for you and the chef will even take requests like "make this chicken spicier". Great place!

They made planning my wedding easy and (relatively) stress free! I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about them! The DJ was great as well(Daniel Beaty & DJ Productions) If you are looking for a great place to have your wedding and reception this is the place.

When I felt my skills were lacking in decorating, the venue coordinator pointed me into the right direction. She was available and responded in a timely manner to phone calls, texts, and emails. If you want great service go with this venue!!!!! I don't regret a thing. My wedding was October 9th, 2010.
