Stan's Donuts & Coffee

We ordered a bunch of Stan's donuts for our wedding, and they were delicious and a huge hit! There was a tiny almost-hiccup where they must have outsourced delivery to two different companies--our planner got a call from one of them saying he'd arrived at Stan's and our donuts weren't there. That was a brief moment of panic, but shortly after they arrived, via a different delivery company. I'd recommend Stan's regardless because they were such a fun addition to the wedding, with that very minor caveat. (In addition to donuts, we had two Costco sheet cakes that were cut in the kitchen and presented as slices of wedding cake, so we also had an alternative dessert--would highly recommend doing that, guests loved the cake and had no idea it was Costco)

Stan's has always been a Chicago favorite of mine, so when we got engaged, I knew I had to have a donut wall at our wedding. We had a variety of different options for our guests, including gluten free which was super important as most of my family is Celiac. I caught a lot of our bridal party and guests eating the donuts before cocktail hour even started, so the donuts did not go to waste! You cannot go wrong with catering Stan's for your next event!

We scheduled an order of 120 mini-donuts to our wedding in June 2019 at Salvage One. I confirmed with the catering contact at Stan's the Wednesday before our wedding to make sure everything was in place and a contact for the day of at Stan's just in case. He stated it was all in place and I could just call him if something went wrong. Well, we never got our donuts, and unfortunately it didn't come to our attention until the desserts were being put out after the cake cutting. Tried to call the catering contact, but it was past 9PM and he didn't pick up and his voicemail was full. Reached out to the catering contact the week after the wedding. He was surprised and apologized profusely, looked into it and said it was an issue with a new driver and inexperienced manager, they never charged us and gave use a gift card for $120. That's really the reason I bumped it up from one star to two star. I get accidents happen, luckily it was the worst thing to happen during the wedding, which we're pretty fortunate if that is the worst thing.

We used the Stan's Donut truck for our dessert for our wedding and everyone had a BLAST! Jon was a dream to work with and made everything so stress free during the planning process. Our guests loved walking up to the truck and getting to choose their own donut.
