Especially amid COVID-19, Cody Gifford's wedding was a heartfelt, family affair. The groom, the son of former Today show co-host Kathie Lee Gifford, married fiancée Erika Brown over Labor Day Weekend.

The happy mother-of-the-groom took to social media to share the first photos from the event. "God gave us a glorious day to celebrate this glorious couple," Kathie Lee captioned a pic of the newlyweds. "So grateful.🙏🏻"

The bride posted a close-up portrait with her husband and wrote: "Happily Ever After, 𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑤 19:6." Her famous mother-in-law commented, "Cody married!! Cassidy married! I am the happiest mama in the world!"

Of course, Kathie Lee's former co-host and best friend, bride-to-be Hoda Kotb, declared the happy news on Tuesday morning while hosting the fourth hour of the Today show with Jenna Bush Hager. "Big congratulations this weekend," Kotb noted. "KLG it's been a big year for her, both of her kids got married… They broke the mold with Cody, they really did. He is one of the kindest, most amazing, generous people I've ever met."

The pair got engaged over Mother's Day Weekend 2019. "My son is engaged and I couldn't be happier for him and [Erika]," Kathie Lee wrote at the time. The storied TV show personality shares her son, as well as daughter Cassidy, with her late husband, Frank Gifford, who passed in August 2015. The proposal itself took place in the Santa Ynez Valley of California, near Santa Barbara.

Cody and Erika's love story dates back to May 2013. The bride has grown to become well acquainted with the NBC News family, even attending the Daytime Emmys with her now mother-in-law in 2019.
