The now-famous couple first crossed paths in the early 2000s when they were both twenty-somethings working at an Applebee's restaurant in Tennessee. In one of his stand-up specials, The Greatest Average American, the comedian jokes that someone once asked Laura if she ever imagined her life with him would turn out the way it did.
