Matilda Djerf Is Engaged, and We're Already Placing Bets On What Her Wedding Will Look Like
If you're the proud owner of the iconic (and ever-so-viral) berry-printed robe from Djerf Avenue, we have great news: Matilda Djerf and her boyfriend Rasmus Johansson are engaged, which means a bridal line may very well be imminent. The mega-popular influencer and entrepreneur announced her engagement to Johansson (who also happens to be the brand's co-founder) on July 30, 2025. "Rasmus and I are so excited to start this next chapter of our lives," she said in a statement shared with The Knot and others. "We were lucky to be surrounded by family in our favorite place to celebrate our proposal."
Leaning into the soft-launch trend, Djerf shared a collection of unassuming photos from the engagement on Instagram, simply writing, "Besties for life 💍🍰💞🔒💌🍒." In the first photo, the fiancés—clad in coordinating white ensembles—can be seen embracing with their backs to the camera.
Another image gave a glimpse at what seems to be their post-proposal party, complete with a table overflowing with hors d'oeuvres and bottles of champagne.
Of course, this begs the question: What does Matilda Djerf's engagement ring look like? The last image in the photo dump offered the first look at her new accessory. It appears to be a marquise- or hexagonal-shaped diamond on a simple gold band. (Perhaps Selena Gomez's sparkler from Benny Blanco really did start a movement.) She shared another image on her Instagram Story shortly after the reveal, giving another peek at the angular sparkler.
Now that we can finally start to daydream about what Matilda Djerf's wedding will look like, we break down everything to know about her love story with Johansson, including our predictions for their big day.
In this article:
Who is Matilda Djerf's Husband-to-Be, Rasmus Johansson?
Matilda Djerf is engaged to Rasmus Johansson. The pair launched Djerf Avenue, her eponymous fashion and beauty brand, in 2019. "My partner and co-founder, Rasmus, and I were having breakfast at a café in Los Feliz when I remember reading the word 'Avenue,' and my mind started playing around with it," Djerf recalled on the company's website. "I said 'Djerf Avenue' out loud, and we both looked at each other with excitement. We had found our name."
Originally serving as the CEO, Johansson took over as Interim Chief Marketing Officer in 2025. Djerf continues to serve as the brand's Creative Director. In a 2022 interview with Forbes, the influencer opened up about transitioning into the world of fashion entrepreneurship with her partner. "I made some design collaborations with two Australian and one Swedish brand. And during that time, I felt like I brought so much to the table. I had so much insight and felt like I wasn't getting as much in return. I wanted to decide where items were produced, what models to use, and how to shoot the model photos, as well as whether or not to retouch. But I wasn't allowed into that decision-making," she said. "I was also doing modeling gigs when I started, and was shocked at the way this world worked. One brand edited me three sizes smaller. I seriously questioned it, knowing what these companies were showing online wasn't what the customer was getting when they ordered the garments."
She continued, "That's when Rasmus and I decided to try it out and do it our own way. We just went for it with no business plan or anything." In 2023, they were highlighted as two of Forbes Europe's 30 Under 30 honorees for retail and e-commerce. That year, the brand was valued at $34.5 million.
Matilda Djerf's Wedding Predictions
In a chronically online landscape where influencer engagements go viral seemingly every day, Matilda Djerf stands out as one of the internet's original it-girls. Known for her effortlessly cool (yet simple) Scandinavian style, there's no denying that her wedding will be—in a word—trendsetting.
It's not hard to see why. Tutorials for her signature bouncy blowout and OOTDs highlighting her cottagecore-meets-European chic aesthetic consistently rack up millions of views on social media. (She does have a collective following of over four million across her personal accounts on Instagram and TikTok, after all.)
Perhaps our biggest prediction for Matilda Djerf's wedding is that it will be just like her engagement announcement: simple, subtle and flawlessly curated. While she may give followers an inside look into her bridal era (perhaps with a few Djerf Avenue bridal collections, if we're lucky), her wedding will likely be as quiet and luxurious as they come. Think: Sofia Richie's nuptials if it took place on a quaint countryside estate in Sweden.
To that point, Djerf and Johansson may even opt for multiple ceremonies around the world. Each will feature incredible capsule wardrobes with the potential to inspire a new wave of wedding dress trends that Gen Z brides will rush to emulate. Can you blame them? Considering Djerf Avenue drops have a tendency to sell out within mere seconds, the influence of her bridal era is bound to be unmatched.
