Considering Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour's wedding is one of the most highly-anticipated in Bach Nation, their content took over TikTok and Instagram, with clips of their French welcome party and garden rehearsal dinner instantly going viral. After all, the two became quick fan favorites on their respective seasons, and the postponement of their original wedding plans heightened the interest in their nuptials.
Ahead of Dylan and Hannah G's wedding, The Knot sat down with the bride-to-be to talk about her destination wedding details, including how she aimed to make it the "party of the decade." Plus, the skincare and beauty guru also gave us the scoop on the self-care routine she used to "enhance" her prewedding glow.

Hannah and Dylan's wedding was on Wednesday, August 23, 2023—and the bride teased their non-traditional timing in our prewedding conversation. "It might not be on a weekend," she told us. "I've never said that before!"

When gathering inspiration for their French destination celebration, there was one event the couple kept returning to, hoping they could recreate the same energy. "We had an engagement party years ago, before COVID. It was about a month before the world shut down," Hannah told us. "It was literally the party of like the decade. Everybody still talks about it. So we're hopeful that with a similar crew of people, [our wedding] will be equally as awesome and fun."

The Wedding Took Place in Paris, France
Although Hannah and Dylan's relationship began in Mexico, they sealed their union in Europe. The couple invited their nearest and dearest to celebrate their marriage in Paris, France. The couple swapped vows at Chateau de Villette, a historic estate located about 40 miles outside Paris. The bride wore three Pronovias dresses throughout her wedding day, while the groom wore a classic black tuxedo. The couple's wedding party members were also dressed in classic black gowns and tuxes.
Despite being engaged since 2019, Godwin told us that the majority of their wedding planning journey took place just this year. "We fully started planning our wedding in February, so we gave ourselves less than eight months to do it," she explained. "Luckily, we have so many awesome vendors and teams around us that I've really relied on them."
When thinking ahead to the big day, there was one moment in particular that she was looking forward to most: "The most exciting thing for me is being able to get our family and friends together and just have fun making memories. I'm excited to be in full bridal mode!"
They Hosted "Next-Level" Themed Prewedding Events
The bride and groom worked with Birch Event Design to create "next-level" concepts for their entire lineup of wedding events, including the welcome party and the rehearsal dinner. "The wedding is three days of events," Godwin told us of their plans. "Each event actually has totally different colors, different wardrobe inspo and different vibes."
Hannah and Dylan's wedding began with a welcome cruise around the Seine, where guests got an up-close and personal view of the Eiffel Tower. (In a sweet Instagram Story video, the bride and her father could be seen dancing to "Sweet Home Alabama" as their boat passed the famed landmark.)
The bride's wedding wardrobe was one of the buzziest topics leading up to the big day, and her styles certainly didn't dispapoint. For the welcome party, she donned a square-neck mini dress by CINQ, paired with sheer statement gloves and a matching veil, along with diamonds from rental compnay Verstolo.
She went on to sport a rising trend for the garden party-themed rehearsal dinner. For the intiamte soiree, which took place at a table set up in a whimsical courtyard, she wore a strapless Undone by Kate dress with lace paneling and a neck scarf. (You might have seen a smiliar style on recent brides like AnnaSophia Robb and Emily Mariko.)
They Celebrated With Bachelor Nation Friends
Of course, we couldn't talk about Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour's wedding plans without asking about the guest list—and we found out that there would be a few familiar faces in the crowd. "We did send invites to about eight or ten members of Bachelor Nation," Godwin teased. "So, we'll see who can make it—hopefully all of them!"

Given her four-year engagement, Hannah Godwin had plenty of time to envision what her big day will look like. Leading up to the big day, Godwin—who's known for sharing skincare and makeup content on her YouTube channel, partnered with Colgate as a spokesperson for the brand's Optic White ComfortFit LED Kit, which she used to enhance her smile for the wedding and her honeymoon. (In fact, she loves the kit so much that she sent one to each of her bridesmaids as a prewedding gift, too.) "I have always had a teeth whitening routine for big events, so I knew for the wedding I wanted to ramp it up a bit. If my smile looks good, it's definitely going bring everything together, especially because my dress is white." she told us—adding, with a laugh, "There's a big leak!" She continued, "You want your teeth to match that shade, or at least be brighter just so that it doesn't look dull. This kit has been one of my biggest recs for any other brides, or if you're just wanting to enhance your beauty routine."
Beyond that, Godwin told us her prewedding beauty prep was all about elevating the basics. In addition to staying hydrated, getting good sleep, and keeping her skin moisturized, she also implemented a lash serum and lymphatic drainage techniques to enhance her prewedding glow.

February 2019: Hannah Godwin Appears on The Bachelor
Hannah Godwin joined ABC's hit dating series as a contestant on the 23rd season of The Bachelor, led by Colton Underwood. She received the former football player's first impression rose on the very first episode, and continued to be a frontrunner throughout the season. Alongside Tayshia Adams, Hannah was one of the final two contestants, though Underwood ultimately sent both women home to pursue Cassie Randolph, who had quit the show weeks earlier.
May 2019: Dylan Barbour Appears on The Bachelorette
Hannah Brown, who came in seventh place on Colton Underwood's season, was selected as the next lead of The Bachelorette. September 2019: Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour Get Engaged on Bachelor in Paradise
Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour got engaged on the season finale of Bachelor in Paradise. "Hannah, I came here for someone special," Barbour said during the proposal. "When I met you, I knew my life was not gonna be the same. I knew that I was all in on us. I think we both know it wasn't easy, but I have never had to fight for something so hard that I wanted so badly. I didn't give up and I'm never gonna give up on us."
As is customary for contestants on the show, he popped the question with a dazzling Neil Lane sparkler. Hannah Godwin's engagement ring is a 2.5-carat cushion-cut diamond surrounded by a halo of 20 diamonds and accented with an additional 62 diamonds in the platinum band.
Although viewers watched the proposal unfold in September, we know the couple's engagement actually took place on June 27, 2019, thanks to a photo dump they shared on their one-year anniversary.
October 2020: Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour Move In Together
The following year, Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour celebrated a major milestone: they moved in together! The couple purchased a house in San Diego, California, which Godwin documented on her YouTube channel. "I'm just feeling so happy and excited to have a true home," she captioned the vlog. "We started looking for houses in San Diego back in March, and after months of looking this one popped up and within hours we put in an offer!"
She added, "The place is coming along since we filmed this about a week ago, but we have so many fun updates and decor that we want to add to make it our own—and of course bringing my camera along with me."
February 2022: Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour Postpone Their Wedding Plans
In February 2022, Hannah and Dylan made the difficult decision to put their wedding on pause—for good reason, that is. "So yeah, the whole wedding update thing," Godwin said in an Instagram Story video after a follower asked about the couple's wedding. "We did a lot of research and all of this stuff, and then all of a sudden, we decided to buy a new house. And there's only so much money in the world."
In January 2023, the bride-to-be formally announced that she and her fiancé would be swapping vows in August.
Summer 2023: Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour Embark on Their Bach Parties
With their wedding mere weeks away, the fun truly began as the fiancés embarked on their bach parties. Hannah Godwin's bachelorette party took place in May at the luxe Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. While there, the bride-to-be galavanted around the city's casinos and pools wearing plenty of iconic bridal attire—and, of course, the celebration wasn't complete without plenty of life-size cutouts of her future groom. She tells us that she considered a relaxed "coastal grandmother" themed event, but ultimately landed on a Sin City rendezvous, calling it a "once in a lifetime" opportunity. "We did the limos, we walked around casinos, and we just had the best time," she says of the celebration. "Plus, we had themes for each day, which was really fun and cute. Everybody left with so many core memories."
Meanwhile, Dylan Barbour's June bachelor trip was organized by party planning company BachBoss (which was co-founded by Real Housewives of New York City star Ramona Singer's daughter, Avery Singer) in Miami, Florida.
August 2023: Dylan Barbour Proposes to Hannah Godwin…Again
Just before the couple set off for Paris, Dylan had a special surprise in store for his bride-to-be: another proposal! "although our first engagement was and still is SO special to us, over the past 4 years we've talked about having a special little moment just for us in the real world, and @dylanbarbour surprised me and made it happen last week," Hannah captioned a photo of the second proposal on Instagram. "now off to our wedding location today to tie the knot!!! ✈️🤍"

Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour got married on August 23, 2023, in Paris, France. And, as much as Godwin says she enjoyed the bridal experience, she told us that they're just as excited for what comes next. "We've already had very serious conversations about what our future looks like, there's just something different about actually being married and acting as a unit," she mused. "It's just really cool that like I know who my person is. And honestly, in the weirdest way possible, I'm excited just to be like, 'Oh, yeah, that's my husband.'"
