Given my role as The Knot's news editor, my daily routine consists of scouring the internet for the latest celebrity weddings—and this year certainly didn't disappoint. We saw so many incredible vow swaps in 2024, from the budget-defying Ambani wedding to Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi's romantic Tuscan ceremony. If you could take a peek at my Slack messages from the last 12 months, you'd find they mostly consist of me freaking out about Alex Cooper's trendy basque-waist wedding dress, or alerting every channel about Gavin Casalegno's wedding hard launch. (No one saw it coming!)

It's nearly impossible for me to rank the best celebrity weddings of 2024, but I'd certainly be lying if I said I didn't have a few favorites. From headline-making nuptials to a few marriages we exclusively revealed right here, look back on the most talked-about A-list weddings of the year.

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist: January 4

The very first celebrity wedding of 2024 was Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist's—and I was lucky enough to attend IRL. These two made history as the first Golden Bachelor couple to tie the knot, and although their marriage only lasted three months, the wedding itself was a Bachelor lover's dream come true. Turner and Nist were also the first couple in Bachelor Nation to have a live televised wedding in years, so ABC rightfully pulled out all the stops.

Jesse Palmer hosted the special, while Nist's season one bestie Susan Noles officiated. Clusters of roses decorated the Palm Springs venue, which was styled by industry maven Mindy Weiss. Countless Bachelor stars attended the special event, including the franchise's longest-married couple, Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter, as well as new favorites, like Charity Lawson and Joey Graziadei. Before the wedding even began, I witnessed a surprise engagement between Paradise alums Brayden Bowers and Christina Mandrell during cocktail hour. Once the ceremony ended and the cameras stopped rolling, the Golden newlyweds danced the night away with their friends and family. (And me!) I'm still pinching myself, TBH.

Usher and Jenn Goicoechea: February 14

What do you do after headlining the Super Bowl Halftime show in Las Vegas? Get hitched at a chapel, of course. Moments after he stepped off the stage at Allegiant Stadium, rapper Usher raced off to Vegas Weddings' drive-through tunnel The Fast Lane to marry his longtime girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea. Clad in matching white ensembles, the newlyweds showed off their rings at Cathédral Restaurant's Super Bowl after-party, where they received a warm welcome from friends and fans.

Chanel Iman and Davon Godchaux: February 24

Although they officially tied the knot in January, model Chanel Iman and Patriots player Davon Godchaux hosted a sequel ceremony aboard a yacht in Anguilla on February 24. (Because why not say your vows on a boat?!) The bride wore a sequined and feathered dress by Zuhair Murad for the nautical nuptials, while the groom wore a colorful printed shirt. "So much to celebrate and be thankful for🙏🏽 together we will continue to move mountains and love each other through thick and thin❤️ we are forever family and I love you so much Davon," Iman wrote on Instagram. "Can't wait for what the future holds together 💎."

Alex Cooper and Matt Kaplan: April 6

Ask any Daddy Gang member and they'll tell you that Alex Cooper's wedding to Matt Kaplan was the most anticipated celebrity wedding of the year. The podcast host wed the entertainment producer at a lush outdoor venue in the Riviera Maya jungle on April 6. The couple revamped plenty of wedding traditions throughout the day, which was one of my favorite elements. Instead of walking down the aisle with her parents, Cooper entered alone through double doors at the back of the event space to make her procession toward the groom. She wore an of-the-moment basque-waist gown by Danielle Frankel, which happens to be one of the top wedding dress trends for 2025.

After the ceremony was over, the newlyweds skipped the first dance and instead invited their guests to join them in a "first shot" to kick off the reception. Before the night was over, the group plunged into the sea while wearing their wedding clothes. "The vibes were immaculate," Cooper told Vogue. "Everyone was on cloud nine."

Lauren Riihimaki and Jeremy Lewis: April 7

A year after she appeared on the cover of The Knot Magazine, Lauren Riihimaki (otherwise known as LaurDIY) got married to Jeremy Lewis in California. Rather than DIY her entire wedding, as would be on brand for her crafty online persona, the YouTuber relied on her team of wedding vendors to bring her "vivacious" vision to life. "We fully committed to a colorful palette and I'm so happy we did," she told us of the whimsical vibe. "We had different hues of pinks, blues, and pops of yellows and orange. It was vibrant, energetic and vivacious—overall, so rich in color."

Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz: April 19

How's this for a healthy dose of nostalgia? This spring, former Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge co-stars Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz tied the knot, warming the hearts of millennials everywhere. While the actors didn't spark up a romantic connection on the set of the beloved Disney movie, they reconnected years later and fell in love. The pair wed on April 19, 2024, at a country club in Camarillo, California. (Fun fact: they used The Knot to bring their dream wedding to life!) "Daniel and I really wanted our wedding to be a reflection of us, so we were very deliberate in how everything unfolded during the day, including leaving some traditions out," Brown exclusively told us. "I thought I was going to want to hold fast to all of them, but we realized we didn't have time to include everything."

Ankur Jain and Erika Hammond: April 26

A few 2024 celebrity weddings earned nods as some of the most expensive of all time—one of which was Ankur Jain and Erika Hammond's. The Bilt CEO and tech tycoon married his wife, a fitness entrepreneur, at the base of the pyramids in Egypt, which is one of my favorite celeb wedding venues in recent memory. (Because, yes, apparently that's something you can do with an unlimited budget.) Attended by 130 guests, the couple's wedding lasted four days with a series of unbelievable events, including brunch on the Nile River and a ceremony underneath the Great Sphinx of Giza.

Hammond told us that giving their guests a once-in-a-lifetime experience was the most important element of the extravagant soirée. "Our wedding wasn't just about celebrating our love—it was also about honoring our friends and family who have supported us throughout our lives and relationship," the bride said. "We wanted to make sure that the experience was just as special for them as it was for us."

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi: May and October

Perhaps the biggest celebrity wedding of 2024 was Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi's. The Stranger Things star (who is indeed old enough to get married) wed the son of rocker Jon Bon Jovi twice—first, in a private, family-only ceremony in the US over Memorial Day weekend, and again in Tuscany later in the year. While we don't know much about their first wedding, the second was what dreams are made of.

The couple exchanged vows at a private estate that oozed old-world Italian charm, and the ceremony was officiated by Brown's on-screen "papa" Matthew Modine. She wore a custom version of Galia Lahav's lace ANAIS wedding dress, which she created with the label's head designer Sharon Sever. "Designing a wedding gown for such a talented actress was a true honor," he said in a press release to The Knot and others. "Millie Bobby brought depth and complexity to her iconic role in Stranger Things, and now she brings grace and beauty to her special day in another iconic way."

Hassie Harrison and Ryan Bingham: Announced in May

I love when on-screen partners find love IRL, and such was the case for Yellowstone stars Hassie Harrison and Ryan Bingham. (Editor's note: Although they actually got married in the fall of 2023, it wasn't announced until May 2024, hence why it has a spot on this list.) The actors got married at Harrison's family ranch in Dallas, Texas, and the wedding was exactly what you'd imagine for a Southern belle and a real-life cowboy. Harrison told Vogue that she had an "elegant Western" vision for their big day, and even encouraged their guests to dress in "cowboy black tie" garb.

Harrison wore a stunning lace Galia Lahav gown, while the groom looked sharp in a classic tux. (A cowboy hat was added after the ceremony, ofc.) "From the start, Ryan and I just really wanted to create a day that wasn't just a series of events—but a heartfelt experience that centered around emotions, comfort, intimacy, and genuine moments with the people we love the most," the bride told Vogue.

The Duke and Duchess of Westminster: June 7

Call me basic, but I love the pomp and circumstance of a British royal wedding. It's been years since the entire world tuned into Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's lavish nuptials, and we won't have another wedding of that scale for years. (Probably not until Prince William and Kate Middleton's kids are old enough to tie the knot, TBH.) All this to say, you can imagine my excitement when I caught wind of a smaller royal wedding this summer.

On June 7, the Duke of Westminster Hugh Grosvenor married Olivia Henson at Chester Cathedral in England, and it was *the* high society event of the year. Once dubbed "Britain's most eligible bachelor," Grosvenor invited 400 friends (including the Prince of Wales and Princess Eugenie) to celebrate his marriage. The bride wore a three-quarter-length sleeve dress designed by Emma Victoria Payne, which she styled with the Faberge Myrtle Leaf Tiara, a crown that's been in the Grosvenor family since 1906.

Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey: June 29

Everyone—and I mean everyone—was talking about Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey's wedding. And now that I've had a few months to ponder it, their quintessential New England fête was one of my favorite celebrity weddings in recent years. Why, you ask? Famous couples continue to pull out all the stops for their nuptials, consistently pushing the boundaries of what a wedding looks like. And while that's incredible to see as both a wedding editor and a pop culture savant, there's something so beautiful about a timeless wedding like this one.

The former Miss Universe and San Francisco 49ers running back hosted their guests at Ocean House in Rhode Island, setting the scene for a classic and preppy "Americana" event. Thousands of fluffy pastel hydrangeas lined the grounds of their oceanfront venue, which is known for its bright yellow exterior. The couple hosted their ceremony at the quaint Watch Hill chapel before kicking off a raucous after-party, for which Culpo donned a surprising body suit with a cage skirt. "Both Christian and I felt our wedding weekend starts our life together as a family," she recalled to Vogue. "I wanted everything to feel intimate but also include the gravitas of the moment."

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant: July 12

We can't discuss the most famous weddings of 2024 without mentioning the Ambani wedding. Considering the groom, Anant Ambani, is the son of the richest man in the world, we knew his marriage to Radhika Merchant would be one for the books. (For context, she's also the daughter of a billionaire pharmaceutical couple. Casual.)

The celebrations began with a nine-month stretch of prewedding events, including a week-long engagement party (featuring a performance by Rihanna), a Mediterranean cruise (featuring a performance by Katy Perry), and a traditional Indian Sangeet (featuring a performance by Justin Bieber). Are you seeing a theme? Based on these itineraries alone, we knew their wedding would be a mind-bending display of wealth, opulence and grandeur.

The actual ceremony took place on July 12 and lasted for three days. The couple invited thousands of guests to the 27-story Ambani family home in Mumbai for an unbelievable festival of love. "It was out of this world. I've never seen anything like this," designer Prabal Gurung told Vogue. "The whole room was filled with flowers and Bollywood celebrities. There was all this dancing and singing." Now that all is said and done, the Ambani wedding is easily one of the most expensive weddings of all time, with experts estimating it could have cost between $132 million to $156 million US dollars.

Mei Mei and Jacob Vigliotta: August 3

Considering season three of Bridgerton dropped this year and once again took the world by storm, the show's effect on the wedding industry is as strong as ever—and Mei Mei is proof. The popular influencer married her high school sweetheart Jacob Vigliotti in their home state of Georgia, and the bride-to-be had one request for her vendors: make her wedding look like a Bridgerton set IRL. "I basically told them my dream was to have a Bridgerton wedding, and that I wanted them to go crazy with the florals and the design," she exclusively told us. And, indeed, they did. Clusters of blue and white flowers covered the sun-soaked venue, which also served as the site for their Chinese and Laotian wedding rituals.

Jessica Szohr and Brad Richardson: August 11

Gossip Girl didn't exclusively unveil Jessica Szohr's wedding photos…The Knot did! The actress married former hockey player Brad Richardson on a luxe golf course in Flagstaff, Arizona. Actress Nina Dobrev served as the maid of honor, with Szohr telling us she went "above and beyond" in her role.

The bride wore a sleek Galia Lahav dress with angular cut-outs and glittering embellishments, saying the aesthetic was out of her usual fashion comfort zone. "My style is a little more boho than the dress I ended up choosing, but when I put it on, I felt like a goddess," she told us. Looking back, she recalled, "It was the most magical, beautiful day, filled with the people we love the most."

Ben Platt and Noah Galvin: September 1

Actors Ben Platt and Noah Galvin took over New York City for their Labor Day wedding, which spanned across multiple boroughs. The weekend began with a Shabbat welcome dinner on the Lower East Side, which served as the prelude to their actual ceremony in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Wanting to create a sense of community and togetherness for their loved ones, the couple sat them in a circle around their marigold chuppah, which was designed to feel like "a big hug." After they were officially deemed husbands, their moms surprised the crowd with a performance of a traditional Jewish song.

The reception kicked off with a "raging" 30-minute hora, followed by a surprise performance from Muna, their favorite band. As to be expected from two former stage stars (they both had stints as the titular role in Dear Evan Hansen), the night concluded with Broadway singalongs and Shake Shack burgers. "We couldn't have asked for anything more," Galvin later told Vogue. "We are still floating. And mostly we're happy we get to keep hanging out forever."

Charlie Puth and Brooke Sansone: September 7

There's no place like home, and that's exactly why Charlie Puth and his wife Brooke Sansone tied the knot in their backyard. The singer and his childhood sweetheart hosted their wedding at the Puth family residence in Montecito, California, in early September. Sansone wore a custom strapless Danielle Frankel wedding dress with a dramatic skirt silhouette, while the groom opted for a lace-lined black suit.

The ceremony took place under a canopy of trees, and once the two were pronounced husband and wife, they toasted with espresso, lychee and dirty martinis during cocktail hour. "I love you Brooke…I always have," the musician wrote in an Instagram post announcing their marriage. "I promise I'll love you every day in this life, and even more when we move on to our next...Thank you for making me the happiest man alive. It has always been you."

Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene: September 26

Let's circle back to Lana Del Rey's Louisiana Bayou wedding, shall we? Although the singer has yet to officially comment on her marriage to alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene, various outlets reported that they tied the knot on September 26. The outdoor wedding took place at the same spot where Dufrene leads boating excursions. In fact, that's exactly how these two met back in 2019.

In paparazzi photos, Del Rey could be seen wearing an antique lace off-the-shoulder wedding dress with a blue ribbon in her hair. The gown was allegedly designed by Cinq, and three days after the wedding, the brand posted photos of a similar dress, leaning into the speculation that it was Lana's exact look. Based on the images, the bride appeared to walk down the aisle with her father before exchanging vows overlooking the waterline.

Rebel Wilson and Ramona Agruma: September 28

I'm still swooning over Rebel Wilson's wedding to Ramona Agruma in Sardinia, which was one of my favorite destination celebrity weddings of the year. Referring to their ensembles as "duet attire," the brides told Vogue that they carefully selected two off-the-shoulder Pronovias ball gowns that complemented each other, but didn't look like exact copies. The couple recited vows underneath a romantic arch of white flowers, which allowed the colorful skyline of the Italian city—which is also where they took one of their first vacations together—to truly pop.

Lana Condor and Anthony de la Torre: November 1

On the first of November, To All The Boys I've Loved Before star Lana Condor married Anthony de la Torre in Malibu, California. The early-fall wedding took place in the mountains, giving guests a panoramic view of the rugged coastline. The "soft and delicate" fête was planned by Alex Moreau of XO Moreau and photographed by Afrik Armando—two of The Knot's 2023 Ones to Watch honorees.

Considering Condor stars in one of my favorite modern rom-coms (which did feature a backyard wedding!), I was anxiously awaiting her wedding dress reveal. She wore a stunning pearl-encrusted gown by Woná Concept for the welcome party, complete with a sultry bustier bodice. But the real star of the show was her Vera Wang ball gown. The dress featured a classic sweetheart neckline and a voluminous skirt with a sky-high slit. She wore her hair in loose waves done by Living Proof stylist Kat Thompson, proving that simple never goes out of style.

Gavin Casalegno and Cheyanne Casalegno: Announced November 12

I still haven't recovered from this surprise celebrity wedding. Gavin Casalegno, who stars in the Amazon Prime series The Summer I Turned Pretty, shocked fans when he hard-launched his relationship by dropping their ~official~ wedding photos. (I literally gasped when I saw the images.) Although we don't know exactly when the actor married his wife, Cheyanne, they announced the news on November 12. Now that fans have had time to comb through their feeds, it's clear they'd been teasing their relationship for quite a few months by sharing elusive photos of each other's backs.

The two exchanged vows along LA's rugged coastline, but it was their decor that really wowed me. They stood underneath a colorful arch of whimsical wildflowers in shades of pink, purple, yellow and orange. A mirrored floor added depth to the aisle, which created a stunning visual effect as the sun set. In one photo, you can even see a tower of espresso martinis, which makes me *really* sad that my invite must have gotten lost in the mail.
