d both the event specialist who sent us the proposal, and the blue door's general catering email when I didn't get a response). We waited another week and my fiance left a voicemail. Still no response.
As time passed I was hoping I would hear from them and have a rational apologetic explanation for the lapse in communication (maybe that employee was let go?), but haven't heard anything. At this point their behavior is unacceptable and I'm looking elsewhere. Catering is the biggest portion of our wedding budget, and getting responses to multiple emails and phone calls is a baseline expectation.
It's somewhat comforting to see the other review for blue door catering also sites communication issues. I need someone reliable for our big day, and at least I have confirmation that they're not the right fit.

order, we ordered based on the minimum amount that they said the food would serve (i.e. they said a half pan of wings would feed 10-30 people and we ordered 3 half pans plus four sides for 30 people). Every last bite was eaten and no one got enough food. Three weeks after our event they sent us an email stating that we still owed them money. From their original invoice they added a $43.50 fee that just stated "miscellaneous", when I asked what it was for they said they were having "system issues" with their invoicing system. I would love to know what system randomly adds miscellaneous fees to invoices. The food was really great but we still overpaid a lot based on how much food we actually got.
