ct setting of which we wanted to get married. It is truly beautiful, in an amazing and central location, and was so unique. It checked all our boxes in that we wanted - our ceremony outside, reception inside, with the possibility of having both inside pending weather. It also made for the perfect capacity of the amount of guests we intended on having. This venue is certainly a hidden gem in the middle of Philadelphia. We could never imagine getting married anywhere else. We had so many friends and family members compliment the venue, and how beautiful the wedding was. It truly feels like an oasis in the middle of the city. The location was absolutely perfect. It felt so special to get married here and the second we saw the venue - we jumped on it. Adriana was fantastic to work with. She has a great personality and will help and assist you with what you need in terms of the venue. She truly holds down the fort, is easy going, and great to work with. She made things stress-free and is a great resource. Her husband is also wonderful and provided additional great resources for us. If you're looking to have your wedding in a beautiful and truly unique spot in the middle of Philly, then this is the place.

was exactly what we were looking for. Our wedding was a party of 80 guests, and it was just the right size for the upstairs indoor ballroom. It was an absolutely pleasure working with Adriana, she made our planning a breeze, and was there every step of the way before, during, and after the big day.

set aside for the bride to use and get ready in. Adriana and her husband were really helpful as we were planning and questions came up, and they helped us out a lot the day of. They were also accommodating with dropping off drinks and decorations at the venue and picking up remaining items afterwards. We had our wedding mid-day, so it was nice to have the ceremony outside, and we had a lot of natural light in the reception hall through large windows. If it had rained, there was a really nice indoor space that was our Plan B for the ceremony. The venue is also in a great location in Philly, and we were easily able to take photos after the reception in Rittenhouse Square, in front of City Hall, and in front of the LOVE statue.

lutely perfect. We had a quick rehearsal the day before and Adrianna was there to make sure we had everything all set. Day of, she was great in making sure everything ran smoothly during set up and the event itself (and was very patient in all the questions family/moms had for her). I received so many compliments on the venue itself. It has so much character. We were able to do the ceremony outdoors, even though it had rained all morning. There is a smaller patch of turf, so we did the ceremony there so that no heels sunk into the grass! There's also the possibility of doing the ceremony indoors in the living room as well. With 80 people, there was ample room upstairs for 8 tables, the dj, and still a small dance floor area. There is a small room to the bride to get ready in, but it was a little too small for me, so I got ready at the Warwick just a block or two away. There's a small library on the first floor for the groom to get ready it. It's a great gem--small, but beautiful.

us backdrop for our wedding day and Adriana and staff worked incredibly well to coordinate with each of our vendors, culminating in us being able to use the beautiful outside garden space even with heavy rain in the upcoming forecast. We received countless compliments from guests about the unique beauty of and history behind the venue. While communication was a bit slow at times throughout the planning process, Adriana was exceptionally knowledgable and helpful during our final walkthroughs and helped our wedding day go as smoothly as possible.

months before our wedding, and miraculously Colonial Dames was still available. We knew it was a sign. I was hesitant about the price combined with the catering but believe it or not, our caterer, Di Brunos, worked with us to bring the catering price DOWN in order for us to be able to afford to book Colonial Dames. We got extremely lucky with a gorgeous day, but the inside spaces are equally lovely making this an extremely pragmatic venue choice. Judging by the photos it is impossible to take a bad picture there. There are several ways to face your ceremony depending what is in bloom. If you visit in the winter, DO NOT FEAR - the garden looked absolutely stunning even in March-May when we were doing visits leading up to our wedding. It will look different every time you go but it's always beautiful. The event could not have flowed better - we did an informal cocktail style and there were so many places for guests to explore, people really loved it. There are also dressing room spaces and the staff is really easy to work with and we were able to load in everything the day before. Thank you Adriana and Colonial Dames for the best day ever!

na was great to work with, the price of the venue was very affordable and all in all it was the perfect setting for our ~70 person wedding. We got so many comments from guests (including some Philly natives) who could not believe we had found such a beautiful place. Thank you again!

eautiful. The upstairs ballroom is a great size for a hundred guests to dance and mingle after dinner. Our guests, many of whom were from the Philadelphia area, couldn't believe such a great space existed on a little side street off Rittenhouse. In addition, Adriana is a pleasure to work with and made everything so easy. She went out of her way to accommodate us and coordinate with our caterer.

a, the manager of all Colonial Dames details, is so lovely and easy to work with throughout the entire process. She answered our countless questions and helped in numerous ways. She was so wonderful to us. And the space was perfect! We had an indoor, December, candlelit ceremony in the great room, followed by a cocktail hour, and reception in the ballroom. The spaces easily accommodated our 75 guests, and there was plenty of room for dancing. Our guests loved the space, and we loved having our wedding in such a beautiful and historic venue. The space and working with Adriana were absolutely ideal!

With a guest count of 65 there was plenty of room for a formal dinner and a great dance floor. Adriana was so helpful every step of the way and definitely helped the day go seamlessly. She let us bring most of the decor and alcohol a day or two earlier so that we didn't have that much to do on the day of the wedding. The venue is in Rittenhouse square area which was very convenient for all of our guests to walk to. Most people stayed at the Hyatt at the Bellevue and I walked all the way from the Hyatt to the colonial dames in my dress on that day. It was perfect. I got rave reviews and everyone had a great time at the wedding. The venue was also perfect because there were so many great places for pics very close by, we didn't have to travel far to take pics right after the wedding so could spend more time at the cocktail hour. Overall it was a great event!!!

Honestly, it was just gorgeous. I got TONS of compliments on how beautiful it was and I am still thinking about it! We had our ceremony and our reception here. One of the major draws was that it has a great weather contingency plan -- a really great garden part (with two choices on how to face your wedding) as well as a charming sort of living room area with pretty pillars and a nice fireplace. It was also nice to have a little history to go along with everything, especially considering how much history this city has!
