It's not the first time Adele and Rich Paul sparked marriage rumors. The singer, who currently has a residency in Las Vegas, often refers to her beau as her "husband" during shows. "You can't marry me. I'm straight, my love, and my husband's here tonight," she told a female audience member at a show in September 2023. The fan asked, "Can you try?" to which Adele jokingly responded, "No, I don't want to try. I'm with Rich. You're crazy, leave me alone."

In time, Adele felt a safe space with Paul. "I don't feel anxious or nervous or frazzled. It's quite the opposite. It's wild," she noted in the same interview. "I'm a 33-year-old divorced mother of a son, who's actually in charge. The last thing I need is someone who doesn't know where they're at, or what they want. I know what I want.
