g up to the wedding was stressful and inconsistent, and unfortunately that continued afterward. The photos themselves were not the best, and several unflattering details were captured that should have been addressed during editing. When we booked Pedro, he was hired from 12:00 PM–4:00 PM. Our agreement stated that those hours were locked in, and we also discussed going to the University of Chicago for photos after the ceremony. We were clear that additional time might be needed, and Pedro stated that if so, he could stay longer and we would pay him per hour. However, on the day of the wedding, he informed us that he was booked for another wedding, which limited our time. As a result, we were unable to go to our planned location and had to settle for whatever space was available just to get photos taken. Although we hired Pedro strictly for photography, he recorded our vows during the ceremony. At the time, we thought this was a thoughtful and appreciated touch. When we later asked about obtaining the video — fully expecting and willing to pay for it — we never received a response. More than six months later, we still have not heard a single update regarding the video. On my wedding day (8/23/25), I also had an issue with my dress due to unexpected weight loss — that part is on me. Unfortunately, those imperfections are visible in several photos. I spoke with Pedro about this afterward, and he assured me the issues could be corrected during post-editing. As of 2/6/26 — more than six months later — nothing has been fixed. I have only spoken with him twice since the wedding: once to review the issues and a second time when he told me he hadn’t forgotten about me. There has been no follow-through, despite multiple attempts to contact him via text messages, voicemails, emails, Facebook, and Instagram. The lack of response has been complete radio silence. Because some photos still show my chest exposed (not fully, but enough to make me uncomfortable), I am unable to share many of my wedding pictures with my family. At this point, I will have to figure out a solution on my own. In short, if you want to add stress to your wedding day through poor communication beforehand and long delays afterward, this may be the place for you. I expected much better for such an important occasion.

I would book directly. But they told me they wouldn’t be editing the photos, so I reached out to Pedro two days after the event to ask about the timeline. No response. I followed up again three days later, making it clear I wasn’t pushing for instant photos, and still heard nothing. I tried calling and even messaging on Instagram and was met with silence. After a week of no response, I contacted Kim, who responded right away and tried to reach Pedro herself. The next day, someone from Albany Capture emailed a gallery link. I was relieved to receive something, but it was clearly just a raw upload with duplicates, unusable shots (like ones with my husband’s arm across his face), and no sign of review or curation. To this day, I have still heard nothing from Pedro.  At a minimum, I expected basic communication after my event, but Albany Capture couldn’t meet even that. Save yourself the stress of feeling ghosted by your photography vendor.

n setting up meetings where we discussed logistics and specific pictures we wanted captured the day of. He also recommended the Fragrance Garden at the Morton Arboretum for wedding photos, which turned out beautifully. On the day of the wedding, Pedro and his team were very thorough and captured all of the special moments of the day! They were positive, professional, and efficient in capturing photos for our large bridal party and family. Going with Albany Capture for our wedding photos was, without a doubt, one of the best decisions we made for the wedding. We also want to give a shout-out to Josh who actually captured our engagement photos and was one of the photographers on the wedding day too! He's an incredible photographer and it was quite special to have capture the entire journey!
